so far on TV:
el Mundo de Lucha Libre was a rerun
CMLL Fox aired Cometa/Puma and the Mexico/Japan trios
CMLL Televisa aired (and will air in the US) Rush/Terrible and the Mistico/Devitt trios
CMLL 52MX aired the top 3 from Sunday, but started late due to a prior programming going long (no problem, plenty of reruns)
AAA has now announced the Fusion TVC Deportes taping on their website. Nothing more revealed, though it does sound like a new ongoing show and not a one off or anything like that. They write “Nueva Era” a lot. Televisa should not have any rights on an AAA show on TVC Deportes, so AAA will be free to market this show internationally however they’d like. If an AAA TV show is airing in the US any time soon, it’ll be this taping.
Today is a Quien Pinta Por La Corona weekend. AAA is in Campeche today for evaluations, with a show tomorrow.
CMLL says a “Road To The 80th Anniversary” feature will start this week on Cadena3. So CMLL can do short pieces, just not about their current wrestlers.
Croncias Y Leyendas asks who was more popular: Octagon or Mistico? (Mistico.)

Lineups
CMLL (FRI) 09/28/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Leono & Metálico vs Taurus & Zayco
2) Fantasy, Niño de Acero, Shockercito vs Mercurio, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
3) Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Rey Cometa vs Puma King, Sangre Azteca, Vangelis
4) Máximo vs Taichi [lightning]
5) Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Mistico vs Euforia, Rey Escorpión, Último Guerrero
6) Prince Devitt vs Dragón Rojo Jr. [NWA MIDDLE]
Devitt is champion.
Devitt will try for his third defense, first in Mexico. I expect Devitt to retain. Dragon Rojo is still CMLL Middleweight champ, so he’ll go home with a belt regardless.
Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Escorpion are teaming again, so perhaps that storyline can restart after being put aside for thelast couple weeks. In fact, it’ll be interesting to see who Dragon Rojo’s second is for the title match.
Maximo & Taichi is a rematch of their hair match.
Mascara Dorada returns from Mexico to join in the Cometa/Puma King feud. Averno returns to…enjoy a nice evening at home, I guess.
Opener is Taurus’ debut, the last of the Gen12 guys to debut in Mexico City.
LLA (SUN) 09/30/2012 Gimansio Neuvo Leon
1) Gato Fantasma & Peewee vs Pedro Navajas & Vudu
2) Golden Boy, Rey Demonio Jr., Silencio vs Angel Dorado Jr., Potro Jr., Sky

4) Máximo & Super Porky vs Felino & Mr. Niebla
5) Último Guerrero vs Mistico, Atlantis [LLA AZTECA]
Ultimo Guerrero is the champ.
No one has ever successfully defended this title. If that continues, there’s a Mistico goes home with his first title. Atlantis seems much more likely.
indy (SUN) 10/14/2012 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) ? vs ??
2) ? vs ??
3) Esther Moreno & Rossy Moreno vs Keira & La Vaquerita
4) Mr. Potro vs Epitafio [AULL HEAVY]
Mr. Potro is champ
5) Eterno, Oriental, Super Crazy vs Negro Navarro, Trauma I, Trauma II
6) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Canek & Canek Jr.
Billed as Super Crazy’s return from Japan, and the first time for Wagner/son vs Canek/son. 100% chance Canek brings up the UWA title before the night is over.

Who would air a secondary AAA show in the US?
LATV? That would be good because they will respect the timeslot.
Estrella? After all these years, they finally decided to buy programming from CMLL. But that will fail because it’s a shit show with shit production. If AAA has programming that isn’t under the thumb of Televisa, they could be in a position to solicit Estella when they realize CMLL was a mistake.
Realistically, I can’t think of anyone else in Spanish television. Univision sure won’t and Telemundo is NBC/Universal.
Just caught this week’s Fox Sports show. Outstanding. My only complaints are that they were still doing the intro graphics when Cometa and Puma were already going all out, and I wish they would mic the crowd better, but that is tough if you aren’t doing live commentary.
I thought Cometa looked younger and better than he did in the post match pictures that showed up the night of the show. I haven’t watched any of the handheld video yet, so I’ll be interested in hearing how the match came off there as opposed to TV.
“3) Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Rey Cometa vs Puma King, Sangre Azteca, Vangelis”
Man does this look awesome! Forget the most amazing tecnico team of all-time for a second – the rudo team has Puma King who has been tearing it up during this feud with Cometa and VANGELIS who is a sentimental favorite of mine. He’s an underrated base and has experience catching Cometa so there could be some wild stuff here! This is also a great chance for Sangre Azteca to remind everyone he used to be a fantastic rudo. No better match than here. What a great bump for Cometa to be teaming with Panther even if it is a mid-card match. Wonder if they’ll do anything with Panther/Puma that ties into the Panther/Felino feud from last year?
@Alan: Yeah I was assuming TV would mess up the start of each fall since they didn’t wait for the whistle and just went at it each time. Overall the TV version was pretty great though. They edited out 30 seconds of the 2nd fall and the only other edits were shortening the time they spent resting/selling. It took away from the drama a bit but nothing outrageous unless you had already seen the handheld. It hurt the drama a bit as did the lack of crowd noise due to overdubbed announcers as you mentioned.
I’d still recommend the handheld to anyone who hasn’t watched yet. Much better for overall atmosphere.
Samurai TV has the anniversary show on the schedule for the first week of October, hopefully that’ll show up at some point
