CMLL (FRI) 08/31/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLL, CMLL Gaceta, Kaiser Sports (rest), Kaiser Sports (title)]
1) Apocalipsis & Inquisidor b Bengala & Leono
2) Demus 3:16, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Olímpico b Astral, Pequeño Halcón, Último Dragoncito
Rudos took 1/3, Demus dropping Dragoncito on his head for the win, then destroying Astral after the match. Both tecnicos were strechered out.
3) Guerrero Maya Jr., Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. b Misterioso Jr., Niebla Roja, Puma King
Guerrero Maya replaced Valiente. Tecnicos took 2/3, Cometa again pinning Puma with a casita. Cometa told Puma he’d do again in their mask match, Puma said Cometa wasn’t going to win, tecnicos stomped Puma and Cometa took hsi mask again.
4) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush b Black Warrior, Mr. Águila, Olímpico [semifinal]
Matches determined by battle royal. Corleone and Rush beat Mr. Aguila and Black Warrior to advance.
5) Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpión, Último Guerrero b Felino, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero [semifinal]
Bucanero, who had no mentioned problems with his parnters, took out UG with a dive, but Escorpion & Dragon Rojo beat the Casas brothers to advance. This was the shortest match of the 3.
6) Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpión, Último Guerrero b Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush [final]
Ultimo Guerrero had Marco beat, but Escorpion pulled him off and Dragon Rojo landed a top rope splash for his own pin. Those two challenged Bufete del Amor to a trios title match while Ultimo Guerrero sadly walked to the back. Maximo invited UG to switch to the tecnico side, but UG ignored. Rush accepted the title match for his team.
7) Terrible b Hiroshi Tanahashi [final, CMLL Universal]
Seconds were Bucanero and Okumura, though both complete teams were there for the belt presentation. Tanahashi took the first with a German supex, but Tanahashi took the second and the third, surviving the frog splash in the third, to win the tournament. Crowd wasn’t in to the match early but did come around a bit by the end. Rush showed up post match to rain on Terrible’s page, but the refs wouldn’t let him get to Terrible. Terrible explained Rush just wanted attention because the only reason the fans care about Rush is Terrible. Terrible promises no mercy in two weeks. Terrible also states he almost disfigured Tanahashi’s pretty face with his slaps.
The impression I got listening last night was that Dragon Rojo & Rey Escorpion were going to choose a new third man to replace Ultimo Guerrero. That doesn’t appear to be the case, at least yet. It may be soon – either the Guerreros get it back together and win the trios titles (unlikely) or split into two different groups. Maybe UG/Euforia/Niebla Roja vs Dragon Rojo/Rey Escorpion/???, as Guerrero continues inheriting the role Satanico played before him. (I’d like Misterioso in the TBD rebel spot.)
There’s one piece of news related to those who weren’t on the show…

Niebla and Volador are suspended 15 days due to their match in Puebla
Mr. Niebla and Volador had their singles match in Puebla on 08/20. Both continued to work shows until Sunday, and were pulled from Friday’s lineup a few days ago. Mije brought a chair to Volador in the second fair, which got used for spots and might have led to bleeding. (That’s what the original poster sites.) As best as I can tell, Zacarias and Mije also did not appear on Friday’s show, so it’s possible they’re also suspended. The suspensions would be over by next week’s Anniversary show, but it’s not clear if they’ll be on it anyway.
(CMLL really should announce this suspension, it would actually help what they’re going for in this feud.)

Gallo debuts in Arena Mexico on 09/11, w/ Super Halcon Jr. & Hombre Bala vs the Tuareg
Gallo’s been one of the main tecnicos in Guadalajara for years. I don’t know that he works as a generic midcard guy in Mexico City, but he deserves a shot. The other interesting thing is how far in advance CMLL books matches. It’s always been clear they’ve got lineups worked out in advance of when they’re posted (not just weeks when they’re posted a week early by mistake.) It would make no sense otherwise, luchadors would want to know as early as possible what days they have to be way out of town, which ones they need to be ready early for a long bus ride, and which ones they have off to do whatever else.
Rob has highlights of 11/15/11 Perros del Mal.

Stardom has a big show on 04/29/13 and held a press conference to talk about their preparation. Dark Angel was announced as being on that show. Whatever is going on with Dark Angel and CMLL – which continues to go on this Friday – it hasn’t changed her mind about which Japanese promotions to work for at all.
If CMLL is setting the stage to fire/suspend Dark Angel when she returns, she probably can find work pretty easily elsewhere until their hold on her end. Once it did, AAA would sign Dark Angel in a half second. This is not a well thought out strategy for trying to intimidate someone in to staying, but it is for warning everyone else what will happen to them if they go against CMLL wishes.

Lineups
CMLL (FRI) 09/07/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Höruz & Soberano Jr. vs Camorra & Inquisidor
2) Ángel Azteca Jr., Pegasso, Starman vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Nosferatu, Skándalo
3) Dalis la Caribeña, Dark Angel, Marcela vs Amapola, Lady Apache, Tiffany
Dark Angel will not be appearing.
4) Sagrado vs Euforia [lightning]
5) Black Warrior, La Máscara, Negro Casas, Valiente vs Hiroshi Tanahashi, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura, Taichi [cibernetico]
6) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpión, Último Guerrero [CMLL TRIOS]
Like I said above, I wouldn’t be surprised if UG isn’t in that match.
Blue Panther and Diamante Azul were among those mentioned to be in the cibernetico last night. Plans change. Tanahashi is back on NJPW shows on 09/12, so this is his last Friday show and possible his last CMLL show for the time being.
Sagrado can’t stop being in lightning matches. He’s sort of the tecnico gatekeeper, separating those we’re meant to be taking seriously (Mephisto) and those we aren’t (Polvora.)
That’s the fourth Dark Angel false advertisement. She’s supposed to be gone for two month, this is going to be annoying. Since Estrellita seems to have taken her feud with Lady Apache, she’s the most likely replacement.
