Mistico in Guadalajara, Wagner/Park vs Traumas, QPPLC, new Tinieblas

CMLL (SUN) 08/26/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Informador]
4) La Máscara & Mistico b Euforia & Mephisto
Tecnicos took 2/3. Mephisto fouled Mistico to pin him in the first, Mistico submitted Mephisto in the third.

Attendance looks minimal in that picture. Switching back and forth on the start time can not be helping.

1) Infierno Kid b Serpiente de Oro
Serpiente de Oro replaced the chronically missing Galaxy.
2) Eita & Imposible b Epidemia & Radical
Epidemia made one of his one night unexplained returns to fill in for Dinamic Black in a loss.
3) Alan Extreme, Factor, Rayan b Chicano, Freyser, Tony Rivera
Alan Extreme replaced Spartan. Chicano did not get along with his partners.
4) Relampago, Trauma I, Trauma II b Danny Casas, El Hijo del Medico Asesino, Hijo de Pirata Morgan
Trauma I made his return, replacing Veneno. Danny Casas replaced Super Nova.
5) Cien Caras Jr., Heddi Karaoui, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 b Hijo de LA Park, Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Negro Navarro
Rudos took 1/3. Navarro hit Wagner by mistake, and Wagner and Park attacked Navarro. Traumas ran out of the save and to set up a tag match.

LuchaMania reports the winners from the first QPPLC tourstop in Monterrey are Lady Puma, Hiedra, Gemelos Muerte, Perseus, Slayer Boy y Mini Hator. Lady Puma and Perseus (one of Sangre Chicana’s kids) are repeat winners from last year. Next stop is in Campeche on September 22/23. LuchaMania also has an interview with Konnan from the show.

Tinieblas Jr. says he’ll have a TV show on TVC (not sure if Deportes) starting September 21 and weekly from there. It sounds more like a children’s show with the family they’ve previously done, and not specifically a running show. Tinieblas Jr. also says his son may debut this year. That’s the first time I can remember his son even being mentioned.

Tickets for the Anniversary show on Ticketmaster run from 734 ($56) to 183 ($14). I need to put together a chart of ticket prices some day, but that seems higher than usual. The 10 peso tickets for kids are not on the website; maybe you have to buy those in person?

That’s the match with Heddi Karoui, Zumbi and Maya Balam. Show is not until September 30th, they have time to slowly doll out information.

LuchaWorld has video of the LA Lucha Legends show opener: Mercurio Jr., Vandal Drummond, Meteoro vs Super Boy Jr., Flecha Fugaz, Sombra Infernal.

Luchas 2000 #635 has giant pictures of Terrible & Rush, and small pictures of Puma King and Rey Cometa

La Copa writes about the history of Gimnasio del Valle promotion.

  1. I dug up some flyers from the big CMLL shows I went to:
    Perro vs Garza 60-490
    Guerrero vs Villano V 100-1400
    Mistico vs Casas 70-500
    Texano/Terrible vs Yujiro/Naito 40-400
Mistico vs Sombra vs Volador vs Felino 100-980

So, prices are high for a hair, but low for a mask. Puma or Cometa are probably not getting much of a payoff since I assume Terrible will be getting paid well for his hair loss.

The prices I have probably don’t include the Ticketmaster fees, so that makes them even more comparable (150-630 for this year’s show), but still higher than the other hair payoffs, but not enough to think that Puma and Cometa are getting a big payday.

Also, Ticketmaster doesn’t seem to have the Gradas or Balcon sections, so there may be some cheaper seats only available at Arena Mexico? Or they are blocking them off? I know they used to only sell the first few rows at the Arena and you couldn’t get them through Ticketmaster, not sure if that is still true.
