Dinastía, Mascarita Dorada, Octagoncito vs Mini Charly Manson, Mini Histeria, Mini Psicosis 2: one of the best minis matches of the year; one of the best trios matches of the year. Really entertaining from start to finish. Some of the other really good minis matches have been about Dinastía doing wild new stuff, but this one was about great contributions from everyone. The técnicos all had their moments, the rudos all worked together well, and they actually got a feud over in the end. Definitely worth watching.
Aerostar, Alebrije, Fenix vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker 2: Good debut for the new rudos. I with the Rockers were a little easier to tell apart visually, though the one that’s Semental was easy enough to tell by his first chop, and telling them apart visually is not as important for people who aren’t writing recaps. I also wish they did something to introduce these guys before throwing them out into a match, but that’s not a new complaint. Aerostar tried to steal the spotlight, almost pulled it off. This Alebrije is working a lot different style than the Alebrije we’re used to, so it doesn’t even seem fair to compare the two except the older one is obviously a lot more polished.
El Elegido, Extreme Tiger, La Parka vs Chessman, Octagón, Último Gladiador: Not at the level of the others matches and started slow, but turned out okay. Looks like they hadn’t decided on the Octagon un-turn when they were doing this finish, even though the TripleMania lineup was announced by this point. Both Parka & Octagon were just around while the other four guys were doing most of the work. Hope they figure out something for Gladiador.
