air date: uh, get back to me on that. No clarification on PPV.

or we could just get the lineup today, that’ll be okay. Lineup via MT.

For a show featuring three apuesta matches, this doesn’t seem as big as TripleMania should be. Wagner & Mascara has been booked perfectly, but MA2K Jr. is nearly as badly cast as Dragon Lee. And the title match has been hampered by Mesias being out of action for the last couple months.

Still, the top two should be enough to carry it. And they’ve got plenty of TV left to help it.

Chessman & Juvi were added to the relevos suicidas match. This is great news, because it means no Vampiro match. It is a random team; Daga & Juvi makes more sense given current angles, and it’s strange they’d bother to do the Daga turn and not continue it here.

Other notable people missing: Cibernetico, Zorro and Hector Garza. Drago has gone from being given a good introduction to bieng lost in the shuffle, so it’s not as big a surprise. I’m really surprised at least two of those guys aren’t on team Roldan (and Electroshock is!) and that it’s a pairs match. Maybe they didn’t want to do another atomicos, but something like Jarrett/Abyss/Chessman/Garza vs LA Park/Electroshock/Cibernetico/Zorro would’ve wedged a few more people on the card. Maybe things will change after Friday’s taping, but they rarely do.

Semental, who couldn’t really get a fair shot in CMLL, makes the TripleMania lineup. That was a good move by him. Octagon & Consejo team by the “we can team up whoever we want” rule, but that and the opener are just getting people on the card matches. Speaking of turns that have gone nowhere: where’s Mari Apache? Something got lost along the way.

  1. 0 responses to the lineup being released for the biggest show of the year. Pretty telling.

Unless the fascination of seeing Lucha Libre in the new building for the first time draws I’m not sure if this will sell out.

Really feels like AAA was on track in April/May and then lost their way so they just hastily put this show together. I could care less about Park/Jarrett but even them in a title match would add something to this weak show. The Roldans thing was put together last second and feels unimportant.

I’m thinking they set something up tonight where Ciber/Garza either get added to the title match or become seconds to do some of the work for the injuried Mesias/unreliable Perrito.

The mystery TNA dude says it all. If it were anyone of value they’d have announced him to help draw. Come on down Doug Williams.

Yes, no one reads this site any more. It’s all very sad :(

I think plans fell thru and the backup plans weren’t very good.

  3. Albert just jynxed everything. Now Vamp will come out to help Mesias win and then challenge him so we can watch them feud for 6 months. Just to totally justify his comment about having no right to be in the ring and how he only came back for the love of Lucha!:p

  4. @thecubsfan:
Abyss being announced as Jeff Jarrett’s partner would not be a surprise as you wrote in your “Oficials vs oficials… post” but it would be kind of strange. In his promo, Abyss (it could’ve been a mistake or not) said he’d be willing to beat up Dorian or the clowns… If he dislikes the young fellow so much, I wonder if he’ll care about his hair.

  5. @conjuarez:
Being more specific, the promo aired during NotiAAA and Abyss mentioned his boss Jeff Jarrett was sending him to Triplemania. He used the word mame not beat up, surely mentioned Dorian and refered to the Psycho Circus as “stupid, crazy, colorful clowns”.
