Hombre Bala Jr. & Super Halcon Jr. vs Apocalipsis & Cholo : inoffensive if mostly uninteresting. Halcón did not have the execution problems he’s had in other matches but didn’t do anything to remember here. Bala doing his wacky spots on the big show is good for him.
Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Marcela vs La Comandante, Princesa Blanca, Tiffany : The TV production billed this as a dream team of técnicas, and then they lost in straight falls clean. I dunno. I am also massively confused by the finish, with Tiffany attempting to pin Marcela three times in a row and the ref stopping every time. Suspiciously, no one in the ring seemed all that surprised or argued the point much. Maybe this is something where the refs are supposed to be better at spotting such things?
Black Warrior, La Máscara, Máscara Dorada vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Rey Escorpion : Very heavy showcase for Escorpion for the first couple falls, then a bit of everyone. Warrior and Escorpion were good, and it was probably for the best not to have to do a finish with them for a week – they still got over that was the issue. Dorada was flying all over the place here, even without a dive.
