At the press conference for next weekend’s Todos x el Todos show, Fuerza Guerrera and El Hijo del Santo were making mask match challenges. Fuerza claimed beating Angel Blanco was Santo’s only real win in his career, while Santo said Fuerza only had a couple wins (Gallo Tapado) himself. Santo had just said he wasn’t that interested in another mask match. Last weekend in SuperLuchas, he was talking about running a big show in October (3o years), so maybe he’s not done with mask matches yet. Santo said he’d want to take care of Hijo del Solitario first. Saurman suggested a Santo/Saurman vs Fuerza/Carta Brava mask match, but the veterans said the IWRG kids weren’t big enough stars for that. Golden Magic will replace Angelico on the card, which also has a match for the vacant WWA tag titles.
Porra Fresa notes “the continued absence of TVC Deportes cameras” at Arena Puebla in their recap. Last week, a Puebla match turned up on 52MX instead. It was this same time last year where Arena Puebla matches turned up on the Teleformula show for a couple weeks before the status quo kicked back in. Maybe that’ll happen again this year, but I hope the DF/Puebla stuff shows up somewhere.
Nosawa and Io Shirai were arrested upon their return to Japan for trying to sneak in drugs. Custom agents found marijuana in the frame of a pictures both had brought back from Mexico. Nosawa had posted a photo of a he and Io with portraits on his blog, so they’re probably it. Nosawa claims the portraits were gifts from fans and they had no idea anything was hidden in them. Nosawa was probably involved in bringing the Diamond Ring and other Japanese wrestlers to Mexico and would be restricted from leaving Japan if he convicted. Nosawa is also believed to be NJPW’s latest Black Tiger, and Tiger is in the Best of the Super Juniors this weekend (not the block Angel de Oro is in.) Nosawa’s unlikely to be involved in the tournament while under suspicion, but he’s only appeared a couple times under the identity and could just be replaced under the mask with someone else.

Hope he didn’t get the painting from Perro!
*ME to Nosawa and Io “What the hell was y’all thinking?”**
NOSAWA is indeed Black Tiger as was suspected. This is pretty sad since NOSAWA is supposed to be a pretty cool guy and now all his international and japanese bookings are going to be gone. He was almost blackballed last time and now he surely will be.
It’s just as sad for Io as she’s young and had a good spot in STARDOM. It’s not the first time she’s been involved with some controversies though. She may end up messing with her sister Mio’s career too. I’m sure she will get booked again within 2 years but she’s pretty screwed too. She’s nice and cool to talk too which makes it harder to write about.
I wrote about it more on my blog(http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/)
Hmm. Nosawa does kinda have previous. But he’s surely not that dumb an ass to smuggle pot into Japan, let alone in a painting? Then again, why the hell would ‘fans’ stuff a painting with thousands of dollars of weed?! Done it with style if he did, way to go Nosawa!
