4) Hombre Sin Miedo, Sangre Chicana Jr., Sobredosis b Golden Boy, Rico Rodriguez, Simbolo
5) Konnan Big b Big Neurosis [hair]
Simbolo & Konnan AAA were in Neurosis’ corner. A mystery person attacked Konnan Big early to set up Neurosis get the advantage, but Konnan Big dominated most of the match. Neurosis finally came back, only for Simbolo to turn on him (again!) and foul him to set up the Konnan Big win. Konnan AAA served Konnan Big with legal papers for the name, and declared war on Llaves y Canados.
Attendance was guessed at 3000. They’re coming back here on 05/13 with Garza & Elegido vs Toscano & Hijo del Ninja (unmaked), plus Zorro, Sexi Star and Konnan.

CMLL (TUE) 05/01/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLL, Kaiser Sports (1-2), Kaiser Sports (6)]
1) Ángel Azteca Jr., Molotov, Sensei b Artillero, Bobby Zavala, Súper Comando
Tecnicos took 1/3.
2) Último Dragoncito b Eléctrico, Bam Bam, Astral, Fantasy, Pequeño Halcón, Aereo, Niño de Acero, Demus 3:16, Pierrothito, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Universo 2000, Mercurio [Mini Reyes del Aire]
Sides were Nitro, Fantasy, Demus, Universo, Pierrothio, Electrico, Aereo, Olimpico vs Mercurio, Violencia, Warrior, Acero, Halcon, Astral, Bam Bam, Dragoncito. Elimination order was Nino de Acero, Aereo, Universo, Halcon, Nitro, Warrior (strechered), Fantasy, Violencia, Demus, Electrico, Bam Bam, Olimpico, and Pierrothio, giving the win to Dragoncito. Ultimo Dragoncito wants a three way mask match with Pierrothito and Olimpico, but not to celebrate the 20th mini anniversary – but to main event the 79 Anniversary show!
3) Diamante ?? Euforia [En Busca de Un Idolo]
4) Titán ?? Niebla Roja [En Busca de Un Idolo]
5) Dragón Rojo Jr. & Último Guerrero b Blue Panther & Diamante Azul [CMLL TAG]
Dragon Rojo & UG retained the titles, taking falls 2/3 clean. This is credited as their 15th defense. Champs talked about a pending match with Atlantis & Delta, and threw their support to Niebla Roja in the current current tournament, implying Roja would get to join the group if he wins.
As you’ll notice, neither source reported on the Busca matches. There’s a half hour gap in Twitter results, so either they did happen, or everyone sat patiently and discussed how great it was that Ultimo Dragoncito won the tournament.
I presume this a purposeful media blackout, trying to keep results secret until the web show (which is supposed to be tonight, but hasn’t been mentioned of late.) I’m not sure of any other site covering CMLL shows regularly right now; Reforma might but it’s behind a $14/month paywall. Ovaciones may still be doing some lucha coverage but very little of it makes it on to their website. Metro has/had a lucha column, but they’ve never gone on the web. I don’t know that you want to encourage people to cover your promotion even less – especially since these matches are happening in front of a live audience and being reported on your radio show on Friday nights – but that seems to be the call here.
On the wiki, we’ve got 8 defenses for Dragon Rojo & Ultimo Guerrero. There’s a ninth that isn’t on the wiki (yet) because results never turned up, but that’s five more defenses unaccounted for. Lots of CMLL spot shows that go unmentioned? Just making up defenses? Could be either. If they were going to do the Defense Record bit for these titles (and they made it clear that was the idea from the beginning), it would help if CMLL hyped each defense when it happened, wherever it happened.
Tijuana’s MV promotions is asking which of these three luchadors their fans would like to see in a singles match: Blue Demon Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr., and Perro Aguayo Jr.
I love this list of outside luchadors who’ve been in Dragon Gate: Abdullah the Butcher, Matt Sydal, Masada, Jack Evans and Vangelis.
LuchaWorld has Alfredo on CMLL 03/19/12 and on AAA luchadors on a game show, and KrisZ’s news update.
