CMLL (FRI) 03/16/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLL, Kaiser Sports]
1) Höruz & Metálico b Bobby Zavala & Camorra
2) Último Dragoncito b Pequeño Warrior [lightning]
Dragoncito won via Alejandria in 7:06. Dragoncito did challenge the barricade with a tope con giro, the barricade won.
3) Amapola, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit b Dalis la Caribeña, Dark Angel, Estrellita
Another new title – CMLL-REINA Internacional – was introduced before the match. Rudas took 2/3. Amapola threw powder (???) at Estrellita, who seemed to duck to avoid it but was small packaged for the win anyway.
4) Pólvora, Rey Escorpion, Vangelis b Black Warrior, Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado
Rudos cheated to win – Vangelis (from the outside) and a new look Rey Escorpion used the ropes to pin Warrior. Escorpion was dressed like a cross between Ultimo Gladiador and Black Mamba.
5) Diamante Azul, Máscara Dorada, Rush DQ Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Tiger
Terrible fouled Rush twice for the DQ loss. It looks like Rush had the win in the last fall, but stopped the ref from counting, and that’s when Terrible punched him low.
6) Felino, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, La Sombra, Shocker
Shocker replaced Devitt, who was there to say hi to the crowd. Rudos took 1/3, winning cleanly.
At the Todo x el Todo press conference, El Hijo del Santo vowed to retire if he lost his mask on 03/31. So, he won’t be retiring then.
In hyping Sunday’s trios match, Dr. Wagner points out El Consejo guaranteed they’d be in the Rey de Reyes final and none of them made it, so he’s not too concerned about winning them guaranteeing victory at Rey de Reyes. Wagner is better than all three of them put together, Wagner explains. Meanwhile, Texano is refusing to call Electroshock anything but Ultimatium, because Texano knows that’s his real name.
Rob has highlights of 02/28/12 CMLL.
