CMLL (SUN) 01/29/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Indigo b Meteoro
match fell apart, crowd booed
2) Acertijo & In Memoriam b Brillante & Rebelión
Rebelión debuted here. Brillante made a mistake, and Acertijo pinned him with his feet on the middle rope.
3) Espectrum DQ León Blanco
Black Metal was Leon Blanco’s second, while Rey Trueno was Espectrum’s second. Trueno kept getting involved, Metal dived on him, Espectrum used the distraction to remove his mask and toss it to Leon Blanco for the DQ.
4) Ángel de Oro, Gallo, Stuka Jr. DQ El Bárbaro, Exterminador, Malefico
Barbaro debuted here. Gallo submitted Barbaro, Stuka & Oro held Malefico off, Stuka tried to submit Exterminador, but Barbaro came back in for the DQ. Rafaga also ran in to attack Gallo.
5) Rey Escorpion & Último Guerrero DQ Atlantis & Máscara Dorada
Rey Escorpion replaced Dragon Rojo. Rudos jumped the tecnicos, took fall 1. Tecnicos took fall 2 with their big moves. Dorada dived on Escorpion in the third, and UG fouled Atlantis while faking his own foul. Referees always seem to favor the rudo in those situations, and this was no different. Atlantis challenged UG to a super libre match next week – it’ll just be a normal man vs man.
This sets up Ultimo Guerrero vs Atlantis next Sunday’s. It’s unusual for them to the same match on Friday in Arena Mexico (the biggest show of the week) and Sunday in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara (which may be the least important – it’s the only one without any TV deal.) My original prediction here was that match sets up a tag title match, which isn’t possible now due to Dragon Rojo being out a few weeks.
Videos are coming later today.
Polvora defends the Mexican National Welterweight Championship versus Titan tonight in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara. Polvora is the favorite, but not an insurmountable one. Titan has done very well in his hometown, even more so since they’ve abandoned the Shocker trio. The Arena Mexico show is headlined by another Panther/Casas match, and the Tuareg vs the Cancerberos continuing their feud in a cibernetico. Next week should be a fan appreciation show, and probably the culmination of that issue. They’ve been suggesting a Virus vs Loco Max match. Loco Max’s hair isn’t that long right now and Virus defending his super light title seems more likely.

2) Hombre Bala Jr., Starman, Super Halcon Jr. vs Hooligan, Nitro, Skándalo

Tecnico trios sticks together, even after their first loss. They’ve shown more dedication to a group than usual.
First Black Warrior appearance in a month. That started with a no-show, so could’ve been an injury or suspension.
AAA’s website mentions the 02/10 Zumpango TV taping they’ve listed on TV. No lineup until after Cozumel. I should get around to making a new chart soon.
PdM (TUE) 02/14/2012 Arena Aficion
1) ? vs ??
2) ? vs ??
3) ? vs ??
4) Celestial, La Vaquerita, Zumbi vs Mr. Aguilita, Sexy Star, Súper Nova
5) Halloween vs Violento Jack, Aero Boy, Freelance, ? [Copa PdM Extremo]
6) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo vs Héctor Garza, Texano, Toscano, X-Fly, ? [MEX HEAVY]
leaked via Flickr. This looks like the end of the era of X-Fly as heavyweight champion of Mexico and the start of the title being used as the main championship in this promotion. Or maybe they just made X-Fly relatively small on the press conference for no reason. The silhouette of the mystery man sure looks a lot like Latin Lover. Perros always announce those level of surprises ahead of time. Press conference to come.
