Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Metro vs Ephesto, Rey Escorpion, Shigeo Okumura: kind of a disappointing match; there’s more interesting stuff with this exact técnico trio (even back when they remembered there was a feud here) than what was seen here. The only exception is whatever Maya was doing from the dive injury bit to his elimination; I’m pretty sure it was a bit, but not one I understood at all.
La Máscara, Máscara Dorada, Valiente vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Tiger: Much better ‘debut’ for the new TRT. They felt like a dominant rudo group here, very strong in the sections they dominated and battling in the técnico sections. They need more matches like this, but this is a start. Valiente is still having problems since his botched dive – I think he even passed up doing it at the end, because it’s otherwise rare he’ll try the same tope twice.
