12) Gallo Tapado Jr. b Hermano Muerte I Jr. [ruleta de la muerte, final]
Hermano Muerte Jr. is Jorge Perez Hernandez, 20 years old, 5 years a wrestler, from Veracruz. The other Hermano Muerte’s ran in attacked Gallo, then Medico Asesino and Hijo de LA Park attacked Gallo Tapado Jr. as well.

Gallo Tapado Jr. is the one who seems to be running this group. The finishes sure indicate that he’s the most important person here.

Other News

Cesar Curiel passed away.

On this weekend’s TV (which was mostly repeats from the previous week), AAA announced Mesias vs AJ Styles, I guess with Styles being the next bounty hunter. I thought we were getting Jarrett vs Mesias. Maybe next year. AJ was in AAA as part of past TNA stuff in 2006, and in CMLL in 2008.

TV also mentioned the Psycho Circus will be facing a team including TNA’s the Pope D’Angelo Dinero. The press conference for the show is Thursday, and the full card should be announced then.

Texano & Hector Garza think LA Park is a paranoid and/or bully.  Texano also says that, if Park is correct and everyone is rats jumping ship, Texano will form a new Ratos del Mal faction with all of them. He still has no problem with Park and will not attack his partner unless he’s attacked first.

The Perro Aguayo Jr. interview in SuperLuchas explains the Nosawa run in at their last show by talking about possibly taking the promotion to Japan next year. There’s no hint as to who the surprise guy is for Sunday’s show; I think it’s possible they might not have worked it yet. Shocker’s name came up in rumors even before he didn’t show on Sunday, and he’s been taken off Friday’s Arena Mexico show. Shocker’s absence and the mystery guy shouldn’t be connected if we take Perro at his word, as he’s says he’s insisting everyone work their scheduled dates even after joining his promotion.

Rob has highlights of 05/26/11 AAA.

Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 12/09/2011 Arena Mexico
1) Höruz, Leono, Sensei vs Bobby Zavala, Bronco, Ramstein
2) Dragon Lee, Pegasso, Rey Cometa vs Cancerbero, Hijo del Signo, Raziel
3) Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Olímpico, Psicosis, Volador Jr.
4) Jushin Lyger vs Último Guerrero
5) Averno, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla vs La Máscara, La Sombra, Rush
6) Blue Panther & Rey Bucanero vs Felino & Negro Casas

Shocker being gone is the most notable change. Shocker will be on zero of the major shows this year, having missed Dos Leyendas and Juicio Final due to his leg injury and having gone missing at unfortunate times before both the Annivesario show and Sin Piedad.

There’s more going on here than just Shocker’s absence. Stuka vs Polvora is gone, replaced by the semimain featuring six guys who weren’t previously on the card. And Lyger vs Guerrero, originally listed as the main event, is now the fourth match. The opener, previously a tag, is now a trios with Ramstein and Horuz added.

Lyger vs Ultimo Guerrero is likely the end of the issue for the moment. As you’ll see in a couple paragraphs, Guerrero isn’t around next week. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if Lyger was going home after this week or the next as well. Lyger’s had major singles losses to Volador and Dragon Rojo this time thru and should be getting a win back versus Guerrero. Perhaps they just didn’t want to be the close of the show any more?

Adding the semimain should be good for people who are going to the show. I’m just uncertain why they did it. It does mean the Cometa/Pegasso/Lee vs Cancerbero falls in a non-TV spot, but we’re getting a pretty good match to replace it. Everything from 2-6 will be good, and the opener will probably feature Bronco crushing tecnicos with a top rope splash. Nothing wrong with that.

CMLL (SUN) 12/11/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Meteoro vs Relampago Azul
2) El Divino & Javier Cruz Jr. vs Acertijo & Thunder Boy
3) Virgo vs Evola
4) Ángel de Oro & Gallo vs Cancerbero & Magnum
5) La Sombra & Toscano vs Mr. Águila & Último Guerrero

The Fuego recap says Magnum turned rudo last Sunda, after darting around on both sides for a while.  This would be Toscano’s first match in two weeks, and only second match in the last month.

CMLL (FRI) 12/16/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Black Metal & Leo vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
2) Lluvia, Luna Mágica, Silueta vs La Comandante, La Seductora, Zeuxis
3) Fuego, Titán, Triton vs Cancerbero, Hijo del Signo, Raziel
4) Hijo del Fantasma, Máximo, Metro vs Mr. Águila, Pólvora, Terrible
5) La Máscara, La Sombra, Super Porky vs Averno, Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero

If something doesn’t work, keep doing it. This is the first Friday night Guadalajara show since October. The fans have not particularly responded to these cards, and I would’ve guessed the change in management here meant they would stop doing them. Nope! CMLL also ran one of these in Guadalajara the same night of Anniversario, and were universally criticized for hurting the depth on both shows. I guess CMLL saw little wrong with it, because they’ll be doing the same for Sin Piedad.

Titan & Triton are going to be in about the same place they were before whenever they don’t team with Shocker. (Which may be fairly often.) It is about what happened with Fantasma and Mascara after Garza suddenly won the trios titles with them. Of course, this is supposed to be a four man group with Metro, and he’s apparently got better things to do on this same card.

The women’s match on this show suspiciously leaves out any of the top crew; bet on something like Amapola/Sujei/Blanca vs Marcela/Apache/Dalis. Maybe the minis too, since they were left off the Anniversario show and people were upset, and perhaps they’re more likely to react to upset luchadors than upset fans.

  1. they should run Puebla and Guadalajara on Saturday night

Puebla on a Monday is just stupid at this point. It needs to be during the weekend. Not a Monday at friggin 9 pm. 9p is too late especially for a week night. CMLL never gets it.

  2. Galavision new spot promoting “Sabados de Lucha”. First they feature Delta and Polvora with their own graphics like they’re the top stars of CMLL, then promote Saturday’s Lucha movie.

This is good. When they run out of movies they can make “Sabados de Lucha” CMLL at 8p and the two-hour AAA show the 9-11p slot.
