recap
Is that what we should call the show? AAA needs a second name if they’re going to keep airing 2 hours of fun undercard matches.
Fabi Apache, Lolita, Octagoncito vs Jennifer Blake, Mini Psicosis, Sexy Star: fine enough mixed tag match, though Lolita probably wishes she had a spot back. Kinda of annoying to go 10 minutes for a ref won’t count finish, but it’s AAA.
Extreme Tiger & Joe Lider vs Halloween & Nicho el Millionario in a hardcore rules match: usual hardcore match with these guys until something with quite wrong at the end. It is amazing Joe Lider wrestles as much as he does when falling to the floor at the wrong time is not really unusual for him.
Electroshock & Heavy Metal vs Decnnis & Silver King: Actual interesting story with the rudos not taking Decnnis as seriously. The stuff between with Heavy Metal was really good. I’m not really sure if it was meant to be a storyline or just kind come off that way, but it was interesting either way. If this is the last time we see Metal in a while, at least he went out coherent.
Fenix, Jack Evans, La Parka vs Billy el Malo, Cibernético, Escoria: if there’s anything that’ll get you over as a rudo luchador, it’s refusing to fight. I think they handled Parka great here (though the intimidation of the fans is laughable.) This was mostly a Bizarro squash; Jack and Fenix got in offense, and they made clear theylost because they were 3 on 2, but it wasn’t really about them. They were (mostly) fine in what they do.
Dr. Wagner Jr., Drago, Zorro vs Chessman, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, LA Park part 2: interminable long brawl with an overly long match, a lame finish and a really bad injury. What’s here not to like? Zorro has found new trunks with Jesus Fish on them but not the gym in a long time, from all indications. Drago’s injury was so bad I’m not putting it here; I’m pretty sure he actually hurt the elbow much earlier in the match, and maybe should’ve checked out then, but kept going until things got very worse. Sad.
