CMLL (FRI) 11/11/2011 Arena Mexico [CMLL]
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II b Leono & Soberano Jr.
2) Dark Angel, Estrellita, Lady Apache b La Comandante, La Seductora, Tiffany
Tiffany’s return match, dressed as Catwoman. Tecnicas took 1/3, with Estrellita and Tiffany feduing.
3) Fuego DQ Euforia [lightning]
Euforia fouled Fuego 7:37.
4) Misterioso Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpion b Metro, Sangre Azteca, Stuka Jr.
Rudos took 1/3, Polvora and Misterioso pinning Stuka (Super Polvora Driver) & Sangre (German suplex.) Metro hurt himself on a third fall dive.
5) Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas DQ Blue Panther, Shocker, Super Porky
Straight fall for Pesta Negra. Panther had Negro beat in the first fall but got DQed for excessive violence. Felino & Negro double armbar beat him in the second. Panther challenged Negro to a hair match afterwards.
6) Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, Jushin Lyger, La Sombra
Dragon Rojo Jr. pinned Lyger in the third fall, rolling thru a ‘rana for a clean pin, and the two agreed to a title match next week.
Hector Garza
Perros del Mal held a press conference to announce Hector Garza’s reintegration in the group. The Gladiatores has video of Perro and Garza talking about the move. Hector says he gave the title belt back to CMLL and left on good terms. He wanted new opportunities, so he left made the move.
In a radio interview with Roberto Figueroa, Hector says he was unhappy with his recent move to the tecnico side, feeling he was going nowhere. He referred to himself as part of Perros del Mal, and AAA will have to go thru them to bring him in. Roberto also notes CMLL has lost two of it’s last three heavyweight champions. The third is staying because hes’ the booker.
It doesn’t seem like CMLL business is getting better any time soon. Also doesn’t seem like they will be making any big changes on how things are done. Dorada and Garza are probably not the last people to make moves in the near future.
As much as it bored me that Hector was doing the same five spots in every match, every week, he does seem like a pretty influential guy in the CMLL locker room. Terrible and Texano have very obviously molded themselves after Garza (making it weird when ever they faced off, as if was Garza vs a cracked mirror version of Garza.) Hector ripped off the stop sign bit from Alex Koslov, but he was the guy who started wearing a shirt to the ring for the stripping spot, and now half the young tecnicos do the same. There will be a void, not just in the main events but probably behind the scenes.
SuperLuchas has some thoughts about Hector’s move. Have not seen anything from La Catedral yet.
Other News
Ras de Lona had an interview with Sahori. She’s back in CMLL. That’ll fix everything! They made it sound like she would be on Tuesday’s card, but she’s not listed there right now.
AYM Sports changed around their schedule – or maybe just sent the TV people their actual schedule for the first time in a few years. At any rate, the 10:30 am EST listing of Lucha Libre actually had lucha libre on. You didn’t miss anything big; they’ve just shown the top two (women’s) matches from this show, but maybe they’ll air something notable down the line.

Lineups
CMLL (TUE) 11/15/2011 Arena Mexico
1) Camaleón & Höruz vs Cholo & Ramstein
2) Estrellita, Lady Apache, Silueta vs Amapola, Mima Shimoda, Tiffany
3) Ángel Azteca Jr., Diamante, Dragon Lee vs Euforia, Hijo del Signo, Nosferatu
4) Sagrado, Sangre Azteca, Stuka Jr. vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano
5) Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Super Porky vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
No Averno vs Mascara title match this week, though they seemed to be setting up for one. Instead, CMLL Gaceta points in the direction of a trios title match. Hmm. That’s an oddly high spot for Angel de Oro, even on a show where Sagrada is working the semimain.
CMLL (FRI) 11/18/2011 Arena Mexico
1) Astral & Eléctrico vs Pequeño Nitro & Pierrothito
2) Pegasso vs Tiger [lightning]
3) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Metro vs Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis, Yoshihashi
4) Blue Panther, Shocker, Valiente vs Felino, Negro Casas, Rey Escorpion
5) Jushin Lyger vs Dragón Rojo Jr. [CMLL MIDDLE]
6) Atlantis, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vs Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr.
Amusingly, the four match on Ras de Lona was
4) Lyger, Hijo del Fantasma, Toscano vs Psicosis, Olimpico, Alebrije
Dragon Rojo winning and making a title challenge cost all those guys bookings. Very harsh. (Or they’re clearly putting up fake lineups to make the outcomes seem more ‘real’.)

THIS IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hector Garza is one of the best wrestlers in the world and his talents will be wasted in a crappy league like PERROS and eventually AAA. Now he’ll be just another random Perro.
Hopefully they’ll make him a technico to fight the Perros as this would be more compelling and provide better matches and angles.
I hope Hector goes back to CMLL soon and brings Latin Lover back with him.
@Daniel:
calm down.
52MX has the expected matches.
The first comment is satire, right?
@Kortej: The first comment is a running joke.
Commenter may not be in on the joke.
GDL feed is down so have no idea what is airing.
Main show has matches 4 and 6 from 11/4. TRT is still god awful but Volador Jr’s joker mask is outstanding. He’s too good for CMLL now. Why is Terrible doing a James Storm gimmick without the drinking?
@Kortej: no it’s not satire it’s the truth
What aired on ACM tonight Cubs? Hope it wasn’t another repeat.
That main event on the CMLL main show was just dull. It’s no wonder no one goes to these Friday shows. Liger might be a worse tecnico than Garza. Bring back dancing Liger CMLL!! And nice to see Estrellita brought back the caution tape gear.
@Tim: worse – it looks like a video game show took it’s spot. They spent five minutes playing the awful ET game. Money in a bookbag was much better.
@thecubsfan: Unless it aired super late, had the dvr set till about 1:30, and the show hadn’t aired yet.
@Tim: @Tim: Unless it aired super late, had the dvr set till about 1:30, and the show hadn’t aired yet.
Teleformula airing 10/21 Arena Mexico matches. Probably too soon to assume GDL won’t air on there anymore given that they have in the past (w/ Puebla) switched the show.
ACM Is Currently Airing
@Albert: Recording!
Looks like it’s the second match from 11/06, so they’re probably showing the top 4 matches from that show:
2) Artillero (MTY) & Demencia vs Maravilla Azteca Jr. & Rey Orion
3) Gemelo Muerte I, Gemelo Muerte II, Misionero vs Dralion, Gato Fantasma, Silencio
4) Golden Boy, Rey Demonio Jr., Simbolo vs Hijo del Ninja, Ninja, Ninja Jr.
5) Angel Dorado Jr., Big Neurosis, Máscara Púrpura vs Androide, Furor, Genocida
the Tuesday video post is going to be very full.
It’s Sunday night and this is still bothering me. How could Hector be so stupid as to leave the #1 company in Mexico to join a garbage third rate league. At this point I hate Hijo del Perro Aguayo. He’s a disgrace to lucha libre for starting garbage wrestling promotion that wishes it was ECW. I also hate his little haircut and ugly nose.
@jim: I’ll calm down now
It seems that Garza strangely worked Arena Mexico today, and an hour later he worked the Perros show.
Not that it really matters in the grand scheme of things, but AAA Ultra Mega Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett just lost to Jeff Hardy in like four seconds, I think while wearing the AAA belt. Then he immediately put him over in another match that went about ten minutes. Then Jarrett laid him out with a chair and had another match started, and put Hardy over again in like five seconds with a rollup.
I’m sure it will never be mentioned in Mexico at all, but I’m not happy if I’m AAA.
@ringo: Maybe CMLL has el Nuevo Hector Garza before a new Mistico!
