Typical fun title match sandwhiched by two foul finishes.
Fuego, Metro, Sangre Azteca vs Cancerbero, Pólvora, Vangelis: clipped up match that still managed to include the part where the match came to a grinding halt, and where some of the guys didn’t seem to be performing so well. Sangre Azteca wasn’t like that gif the whole match, but it was not a great performance. (No low blow dropkick, though I bet we just missed that.) I am intrigued by Fuego vs Pólvora, but not because of anything that happened in this match.
Pierrothito vs Bam Bam for the Mexican National Lightweight Championship: fun match, they got a lot of singles match stuff in for a short amount of time. I actually stopped the recording with the tapatía near fall finish, because I thought that was three, so that was pretty good too and everything after that was nice bonus. These two remain good against each other. The finish is very similar to the finish of their hair match, so this was helped a bit by not airing so soon after as it actually happened. Still a pretty good finish.
La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vs El Alebrije, Mephisto, Mr. Águila: match was generally fun, but it was a long way to go to get to that finish. It almost made sense, since they had a title match the Sunday after (that we won’t see), but maybe an actual pinfall would’ve built that better.
