2) Bronco, Disturbio, Nitro b Ángel Azteca Jr., Molotov, Sensei
Rudos took 2/3.
3) Shigeo Okumura & Volador Jr. b Averno & Yoshihashi [quarterfinal]
Battle royal determined sides. Yoshihashi was eliminated from that in two seconds, perhaps a record. Okumura beat him here as Volador beat Averno
4) Hijo del Fantasma & Jushin Lyger b Sangre Azteca & Super Porky [quarterfinal]
Jushin Lyger replaced Angel de Oro as Fantasma’s partner.
5) Misterioso Jr. & Mr. Niebla b Negro Casas & Puma King [quarterfinal]
Zacarias sided with Mr. Niebla in the Peste Negra vs Peste Negra battle.
6) Blue Panther & Fuego b Stuka Jr. & Valiente [quarterfinal]
Blue Panther & Fuego were reunited from the Forjando un Idolo tournament. Fuego beat his tag partner, Stuka.

8) Misterioso Jr. & Mr. Niebla b Blue Panther & Fuego [semifinal]
9) Hijo del Fantasma & Jushin Lyger b Misterioso Jr. & Mr. Niebla [final]
Tecnicos won, though Niebla was crowd favorite.

IWL (SAT) 10/22/2011 Rodeo Santa Fe, Estado de México
1) Big Mama & Gringo Loco (DF) b Bronco (IWL) & Dance Boy
2) Ciclon Dorado & Star Fire b Halcon 2000 & Imposible
3) Conde Bartok, Rey Krimen, Violento b Emo Extreme, Punker, Soldado de la Muerte
Emo Extreme & Punker turned on their partner, announced they’d be forming Bizarros ATM.
4) Estrella Blanca Jr. I, Estrella Blanca Jr. II, Hijo de Clímax NC Payaso Carroña, Payaso Miedo, Payaso Terror
Anarquia (Lobo Azul, Black Heart, Cadenero Punk, Matanza 68 – none of who were actually on this show), and the ATM and American Nightmare groups all ran in for the no contest.
5) Cerebro Maligno, Epitafio, Quimico b Centinela, Kung Fu Jr., Ninja de Fuego
Kung Fu Jr. wore a Dr. X tribute mask.
6) Carta Brava Jr. & Ojo Diabolico b Black Thunder & Misterio
Ojo Diabolico replaced Heddi Karaoui.
7) Freelance b Perico, Tribal, Zumbi, Turbo, Kansuke, Eterno, Argenis, Latin Star [IWL Rey del Aire]
Samurai del Sol, Quimico, Súper Fly, ATM listed but did not appear, Zumbi, Turbo and Argenis took their place (and Quimico was shifted to another match.) Argenis got the most pinfalls, but Freelance beat him for the win.
8) Scorpio Jr. & Super Crazy b Aerostar & Electroshock and Balls Mahoney & Low Rider [IWL TAG]
three way turned to a four way with Daga & Suicida being removed. Scorpio took the spot that was originally going to be for Dr. X-Treme and won the tag titles. Scorpio fouled Electroshock, Crazy gave Aerostar a Michinoku Driver.
9) Suicida b Joe Lider, Low Rider [IWL JUNIOR]
Daga was asked if he was sure he wanted to give up the belt. Daga was sure, saying it was for his reasons. Daga was then booed. Low Rider worked back to back matches, but was first out here. At the finish, Daga ran in and attacked the referee. Unclear who (or if) that helped, but Suicida did go onto pin Joe Lider to win the title.
10) Tony Rivera DRAW Zumbido [hair]
IWL! Double pin. Zumbido asked for another fall, was denied. Short match.
11) Cerebro Negro, Fantasma de la Ópera, Sepulturero I b 2 Tuff Tony, Gigante Warrior, Mad Man Pondo [semifinal]
12) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Circus b Ángel o Demonio, León Rojo, Ovett [semifinal]
13) León Rojo b Mad Man Pondo, Giant Warrior, 2 Tuff Tony, Ángel o Demonio, Ovett [hair]
losing two teams facing off in this match, though only the person taking the pin would lose their hair. Finish was something gone wrong – Leon Rojo tried a middle rope ‘rana on Pondo, Pondo fell on him in the move, and Rojo suffered shoulder and neck injuries. Pondo covered for the win. Angel O demonio challenged him post match.
By my quick count, that’s 61 luchadors working this show, with Low Rider working twice, and at least five people interfering in matches who didn’t even have one. That must be one huge locker room. If you look at the first few pictures of the recap, it looks like there were more people on the show than paying to see it. If you scroll down further, the crowd looks a lot fuller – there is NO DOUBT these guys are wearing out crowds by running shows with these many wrestlers and these many people, and they’re just going home early. This is because the fans are sane and the people who putting these shows together may not be.
I do not understand what IWL is or what it is trying to do at all, there’s not much sense in it. All I know is my head hurt before I started to figure out the results, and it hurts more now.

10/23 AJPW: 7) [AJPW TAG] Ozz [O] & Cuervo b Kenzo Suzuki [X], The Great Muta
Ozz & Cuervo are the new, 60th champions! The story of the show was AJPW losing all it’s titles to outsiders, the story of the Kenzo is every one turning on him, and both of those combined in this match. Muta turned on Kenzo and Ozz & Cuervo scooped up the win. These two were the 1st AAA tag team champions and never made a successful defense, so that’s got to be the goal this time.
10/23 NJPW: 3) [NJPW G1 Tag] Strong Man [O] & Tama Tonga b Yuji Nagata & King Fale [X]
Strong Man & Tonga are one of five teams in their block with 1 win.
