AAA (FRI) 10/07/2011 Auditorio de Tijuana [The Gladiatores]
1) Flecha Roja DQ Pensamiento Negro Jr.
dq for mask pull.
2) Colibri & Extasis b Viento & Zarco
These guys had apparently been yelling at each other the internet all week. Tecnicos won by taking falls 2/3, though Colibiri and Extasis didn’t get along and Colibiri turned after teh match.
3) Diamantina, Profeta, Sexy Star b Lolita, Rubi Gardenia, Urzus
Sexi Star distracted the referee and cheated to beat Lolita.
4) El Mesías & Extreme Tiger DQ Konnan & Nicho el Millionario
Tony Casanova and Zarco wrestled most of the match instead of Konnan, with Sexi Star helping out too. Konnan fouled Mesias for the DQ.
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. b LA Park [WWA HEAVY]
Change of titles on the line; originally it was the AAA Latin American title. Wagner won the first with a casita, LA Park took the second with a half crab after putting Wagner thru a table, Wagner Driver took it in the third, with Park needing medical help to get to his feet.
Heroes Inmortales
1) Cinthia Moreno, Fabi Apache, Mari Apache vs Jennifer Blake, Sexy Star, Velvet Sky [glow in the dark]
A match! I have great faith in Sexy Star finding something that glows in the dark, but I’m still not sure why the lights are out. Or what happened to Rosita and Lolita. Rudas won, because why not.
2) El Elegido, Octagoncito, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Alan Stone, Mini Histeria, Polvo de Estrellas [lumberjack]
Elegido’s on the show because, uh, they’re in Monterrey and Laredo Kid hasn’t taken stripping lessons? I guess this continues the Pimpi vs Exoticos feud. Every match so far has had Pimpi win only to get beat up after teh match, perhaps that’ll continue.
3) Abyss & Chessman vs Extreme Tiger & Jack Evans [AAA TAG]
Abyss is here regularly for the big shows and they don’t much with the title outside the big shows, so they could have him win. Seems like more another chance for the champions to beat bigger people. Possibly the best match on the show.
4) Electroshock vs La Parka, Heavy Metal, Joe Lider, Zorro, Jeff Jarrett, LA Park, Cibernético, Silver King, Brutus Magnus [Copa Antonio Pena]
A MATCH. They should probably remember to do something with Jeff Jarrett to set up a title match. Maybe something where he and LA Park cost each other the match, and a lucky third party (La Parka?) gets the win?
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo [AAA LA]
A brawl where people stop selling to pose to the crowd a lot. Should have the largest reaction on the show, and most likely match not to ahve a finish. Should be Wagner’s win to pay back for losing last week, maybe with Konnan Big being accidentally responsible.
6) El Mesías vs Sting
Mesias always wants to have great matches on big shows, btu Sting is not going to be up for the usual 30 minute marathon match. Something more about 8 minutes, where everyone gets to do their trademark spots, and Mesias gets the win when the TNA guys screw up Sting, seems about right.
7) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Damián 666, Halloween, Nicho el Millionario [dome cage, mask, hair]
Perros lose. These’s no way the Clowns should lose their masks to the Perros if Perro Jr. isn’t part of the team. This will be the match to end all that match, and the violence will probably reflect that.
I’ll be hosting a chat for this show. I’ll put up the post later, but you can also find it here.
Other News
Black Terry Jr. posted the four way opener from the DTU/IWRG show.
Volador Jr. says he couldn’t imagine winning Leyenda de Plata, but did not want to let his people down. He’s willing to give Lyger a rematch, if he puts his title or mask on the line.
Atlantis says all the fouls and mask pulling he’s encountered recently is awakening the warrior within that fought in bloody battles, and Mr. Niebla may pay the consequences.
La Catedral has been busy: he points everything he saw wrong in Volador’s performance on Friday’s, credits Starman for good work in openers, praises Ray’s performance, roots for a Negro Casas/Blue Panther hair match, yanks the chances of those in today’s #1 contender match, and is excited for next Friday’s women’s trios.

I think the best part tonight will be when the Sting/Mesias match goes short and is awful. Seeing all these “OMG STING THE LEGEND COMING TO MEXICO” fans turn into “WHAT A FRAUDE! THE MATCH SUCKED!” will be hilarious. It’ll be reminiscent of all the people who go nuts for those UWA Reunion shows and then start their recap with “It was nice to see the wrestlers but the wrestling was awful”. They fall for it every time.
TF has a new episode, with the announcers talking about the results of the Anniversary show and then showing matches from 08/23 (which set up the show we saw last week.) I think that means they’re either taping the voice overs in bunches, or they’re taping the voice overs out of order.
Gallo, Metro, Stuka Jr. vs Euforia, Nosferatu, Virus
Héctor Garza, La Máscara, Máscara Dorada vs El Alebrije, Psicosis, Volador Jr.
Blue Demon eliminated from MQB. Did the gimmick where he unmasked only to have another mask underneath and one of the judges was crying thinking he was actually going to show his face.
This led to an exchange between Blue Demon and judge Villalobos who works for MVS.
