Other News
CMLL’s interviewer Tania mentioned on Twitter she would not be back on TV until after the NFL season ends (January.) That would seem to mean CMLL is only getting 1 hour shows on Televisa for the rest of the year. It’s probably the same with AAA.
SuperLuchas #431 has Sin Cara vs Sin Cara. Inside, there’s a column by one of their people in Guadalajara, who was says he’s been banned from their Arena Coliseo on order of Paco Alonso, and it sounds like their luchadors have been warned not to talk to him.
Luchas 2000 #588 has a diagram of the CMLL hair feuds. This may be more interesting than the match. The chart does (accidentally?) point out how the Mr. Aguila/Maximo feud is just jammed in to make up the numbers. Also, besides Bucanero/Felino, people would be much happier of the match was just Negro Casas vs Blue Panther. When did Rush and Felino feud?
LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

2# Amapola won via motocicleta (2:08)
3# Amapola won via Devil’s Wings (9:21)
Didn’t seem like a next challenge stepped forward. If there’s any more Mexican (or Puerto Rician!) participation on these shows, I may have to start putting them in the luchadb.

Lineup
CMLL (FRI) 09/23/2011 Arena Mexico
1) Dark Angel & Marcela vs Princesa Blanca & Princesa Sugheit
2) La Máscara vs Valiente, Stuka Jr., Volador Jr., Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Metal Blanco, Palacio Negro, Pólvora, Shigeo Okumura, Puma King, Tiger [Leyenda de Plata, semifinal]
3) Jushin Lyger, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vsAverno, Dragón Rojo Jr., Mephisto
4) Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano
5) Atlantis vs Último Guerrero [super libre]
It’s been a long time since they’ve had a no DQ match. I wouldn’t expect blood (in fact, I would be shocked if there was blood or chair shots or anything like that), but a foul that’s not called a DQ.
Lyger is teaming with the two guys he’s feuded with, here and in Japan. Hmmmm.
It looks like the Leyenda de Plata theme might be younger luchadors…or that might just be who’s left when all the older ones are in other matches. Volador & Mascara stick out as favorites, but it wouldn’t be too hard to sneak thru a surprise.
CMLL (SUN) 09/25/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) ? vs ?
2) Magnum & Thunder Boy vs In Memoriam & Ráfaga
3) El Alteño & Hierro vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
4) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Palacio Negro vs Cancerbero, Euforia, Raziel
5) Ángel de Oro, Hijo del Fantasma, Máscara Dorada vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
That’s two straight weeks of Dorada vs Avernos.

Well that IWL show looks like it might not be half bad, although it seems like again they may have gone pretty long in time. Might have to check out the replay.
I can’t believe someone is running a real Doink vs fake Doink feud in 2011. if anyone was going to book it, I thought it would be TNA. Match 8 looks interesting though and Balls Mahoney vs Freelance is one step closer to my dream match of Mad Man Pondo vs Freelance.
I believe the Doink/Doink deal was more to acknowledge they had used a fake Doink, and Osborne had to cancel at the last minute, but I don’t know that anyone would’ve felt cheated if they didn’t acknowledge it.
