Bit of an upset. Rudos take 2/3.

UG attacked Atlantis as he was entering. Rudos took 1/3. Ultimo Guerrero snuck in a foul on Atlantis, which Tirantes somehow missed. Atlantis challenged UG to a singles match next week, UG accepted and hit Atlantis with the microphone.
Other news
Tonight is AAA’s first taping in couple of weeks, taking place in the usually loud Gimnasio Agustin Milan in Toluca. It’s only their second taping since Verano de Escandalo, having spent a lot of August working on the QPPC talent search contest and other events.
While not the actual main event, the match that will likely get the most attention coming out of the show is Perro Aguayo Jr. vs Dr. Wagner. Perro could probably slip right back into a normal top spot if he has a good night; AAA clearly wants to give him one if he’ll meet them halfway. The other news grabbing match is likely to be the tag title defense; I have sneaking suspicion Billy & Escoria will win the titles from Jack & Extreme Tiger tonight. There’s some good matches on the undercard, and the actual main event combines the new Lider/Nicho feud with the very much not new Psychos/Perros one.
This week’s Wrestling Observer says the other person AAA is trying to bring in from TNA, in addition to Sting, is Jeff Hardy. They’ve been trying for a while, but Jeff was officially suspended until the most recent taping.
CMLL’s moving the September 16 Arena Mexico Friday show to 5pm due to the holiday. That’s means the show is going to end before it usually starts. That show will have the final of the Universal Tournament. CMLL’s trying to push this as a month full of Anniversary show instead of one, but they’re going be a month full of under 10K attendances unless they have a meaningful main event. (Tomorrow should do OK.)
Zeuxis talks about her return to Japan, explaining she just came home to recharge her batteries. It sounds like she’s enjoying her experience in Japan, though it’s tough: in a normal day, she’s training at 11, taking a break, and training again at 4 in the afternoon. Her biggest problem was enjoying the food too much, and she’s going to work harder to stay in shape next time. She plans on winning the International Junior title, and also win a hair or mask, preferably Ray’s.
Foro Cultural Mujam, the toy museum that holds a weekend of lucha libre flea market/matches every month, is celebrating it’s fifth anniversary of doing that in October. Their anniversary shows include the next generation Villanos (Kaving and Kortiz) putting up their masks as part of a relevos suicidas, and the Lucha POP Women’s title being defended. Look, CMLL, it’s not too hard to figure out your anniversary main event and announce it ahead of time.
Scorpio Jr. talked about his anniversary show, and says his career highlights are wining in each promotion are winning Black Scorpio’s mask, winning the Leyenda de Plata, and winning Super Porky’s hair.
CMLL is airing again in France, on MCS Extreme. This appears to be repeats of the international one hour episodes, the tapes that keep circling the globe. To celebrate, let’s link back to french message board thread that was surprised to be linked back here (and spotted this on Facebook.)
Guerrero Maya Jr. says his opponents Friday may have more experience, but he’s going to match them with courage and a desire to win. Such a tecnico.
