(I was working on Lucha Times. Now I’m not! It’ll be up sometime Friday.)

WagnerMania posted the lineup, which appears to be from AAA PR and dated yesterday. This is not some lineup that was postered around Chilpancingo a couple months ago, this is what the lineup is as of today. Just to back that up, the lineup includes a Surprise Bizarro, which we can be relatively sure is a fill in for the incarnated Charly Manson*.

That means, as of yesterday, AAA thought Perro Aguayo Jr. was good to go for a match. Really, not any match, but because it’s those two trios, a sure to be hardcore match involving stunts and blood. Not an easy match. A rough match. A match I wouldn’t want to have! Unlike me, Perro Aguayo Jr. is a luchador. Also, unlike me, Perro Aguayo had a tumor removed from his midsection three weeks ago.

Four options. Choose your adventure:

1) Perro Aguayo heals at a rate faster than normal mortals. Alfredo’s theory! Everything I can find on google suggest general recovery is around 6 weeks, both for the removal and for the burst ulcer he was said to suffer during the operation. I’m sure he heels at a faster rate, but…

2) Someone at AAA goofed up and released a wrong lineup . Always possible. Arakas will be very upset with them, so I hope that didn’t happen. X-Fly will wrestle or something.

3) AAA or Perro Aguayo Jr. is rushing back to the ring way too soon. Always possible. Doesn’t seem to be necessary for the gate. It’s a Kid’s Day show, which is enough to do well. It’s a location AAA used to go once a year, with their least star power taping of the year, and still draw fine. It’s actually been longer than normal since they’ve been back here for a taping, so there’s probably a pent up extra demand. They’ve got Cibernetico working third from the top, so they would seem to be fine on star power even for a normal show. But perhaps a sponsor specifically requested Perro Aguayo Jr. on this show, or Perro Aguayo needs to start paying bills ASAP. That is a pretty bad situation either way.

4) Perro Aguayo Jr. was not as sick as we’d expect for a person who had a tumor pulled out of stomach. Perro Aguayo was intensive care three weeks ago. About the same time, the long time announcer of AAA, Arturo Rivera was also in bad shape at a hospital with a throat infection. Different illnesses, different ages, different physical conditions, surely different recoveries. Still, it’s hard not to compare: AAA is hoping Arturo Rivera can return to the calling matches by TripleMania, 10 weeks after surgery. Not be active at all, just talk. Perro Aguayo, 3 weeks after a golf ball sized tumor was yanked out of him, is said to be cleared to wrestle Monster Clown**. This would make complete sense, only if we assume thing we were told didn’t quite happen to be the truth. That would be a pertty bad situation, but at least a more hilarious one than a wrestler working a match he wasn’t ready for.

Place your bets. Perro is supposed to have a press conference today to talk about his illness. That should be fascinating.

There are other matches on the show! They all seem to be place keeping (a reason against Perro needing to be on this show.) Main event feuds really feel like they’re doing Zorro vs LA Park vs Mesias at TripleMania, don’t they? I don’t think they actually doing that match, which is kind of the crazy part. I want to see how Heavy Metal vs LA Park goes.

* – We can assume this because: Ngyma & Escoria are working a house show, Amadeus has apparently been quietly dropped as a character and they’ve been really reluctant Taboo in the ring, which just leaves Charly as originally scheduled. Seeing as they didn’t just put him in here, they’re still pretty reluctant and may just be working out which guy they’re pulling off that house show, or if they want to throw in someone new.

** – this is an impossibility, no doctor would ever give the go ahead to work Monster Clown
