5) Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Volador Jr.Rush, Toscano, Valiente
Atlantis ‘rana on Toscano.
6) La Sombra, Máscara Dorada, Super PorkyAverno, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Straight falls. Averno DQed in the first for unmasking Dorada, Dorada cradles Averno for the second.

Ras de Lona had clips of Angel de Plata’s shooting star press injury. It was frightening – the rudos were standing in a reasonable spot, but Plata just out-leaped them and there was no way they could catch him. There was also an interview with Hiroka at her pet shop, picking Demus to win the hair match and saying she’d return soon. Both sides for Sunday’s veterans vs Gen2011 cibernetico were interviewed. There was talk about Angel Blanco, but no interviews with anyone in the top two matches at Dos Leyendas.

AAA says they’ll soon be starting a drive to bring more woman into their promotion. The impression I get is they’d like to have more Sexi Star’s, and would easily settle for more CMLL edecanes types. Related: Impacto interviews Lolita about starting in AAA.

Rey Misterio had an autograph signing and did some press. Most of it was Misterio saying Sin Cara is not coming to WWE to replace him, and he’s hoping this is the start of another wave of Mexican luchadors to come to the United States.

Black Terry Jr. has video of Sadico & los Traumas vs Puma King, Tiger Kid, and Halcon 78 Jr.: part 1, part 2, part 3.

LuchaWorld has last week’s Ras de Lona.

  1. as mentioned by @conjuarez, CMLL has announced the Gran Alternativa will take place, starting March 25th. Last year’s tournament was a 3 week 16 team tournament where any early match luchador could compete. They’d cut it down to only first timers the last two years, and might go back that way this year with all the new Gen11 people

    possible first timers
Apolo Estrada Jr. – hasn’t been around recently
    Bobby Zavala
    Cholo
    Escorpion
    Hijo del Signo
    Semental
    Mortiz
    Yoshihashi
    Dragon Lee
    Enrique Vera Jr.
    Guerrero Maya Jr.
    Horuz
    Hombre Bala Jr.
    Magnus – the obvious favorite
    Metal Blanco
    Metatron
    Palacio Negro
    Bengala
    Principe
    Camaleon
    Robin
Super Halcon Jr, if he can be found.

Camorra was in the 2009 tournament, but had recently talked about trying to be in this year’s tournament with Shocker. Shocker’s not expected back for a while longer.

There’s also people from GDL and Puebla who’d fit in.

  2. CMLL TV is 3, 5 & 6 unfortunately. I’m pretty sure the goal here is to convince fans NOT to attend H2L next week.

  3. “Virus b Demus 3:16 [hair]
Virus withstands everything Demus has to beat him. Good match, though the Friday crowd wasn’t as much into it because it had been built on Tuesdays.” Curses wrong again! I blame THE HAT. on a more serious note, it’s shame we never got a Demus 3:16 vs Valiente feud while Demus was not a mini.

  4. @thecubsfan: Just to fix that list up – Guerrero Maya Jr. (w/ Valiente) and Semental (w/ Rey Bucanero) have already participated in the Gran Alternativa.

  5. Hit send too early.

It’ll probably just be the Generacion 2011 guys and GDL guys as filler. Guessing: Zavala, Magnus, Dragon Lee, Signo Jr., Vera Jr., Bala Jr., Metal Blanco and Palacio Negro. Awful weak and should be horrible matches.:)

  6. ACM has Hijo del Ninja, Máscara Púrpura, Silencio vs Antifaz del Norte, Dr. X, Loco Max from Sunday.

  7. Sure felt like they were setting a Loco Max vs Mascara Purpura apuesta match here. May need to change my pick for Monday.

  8. How the hell did he get a 58:00+ minute video on youtube?

Looks like the Lightning Match aired as well so top 4.

  9. @Chris: Yea, ACM seems to have moved to 12:00, on TV.

Teleformula is a repeat! This is a good week for me to catch up on watching other things, I guess.

  10. Last five minutes of Hermanos y Detectives on Galavision featured a heel Latin Lover. Why won’t he just turn heel in CMLL?

  11. The ad that just ran on Televisa said “Ticketportal.com” even though Cubs pointed out that the mx was missing. And it said NOTHING about ordering on SKY.

  12. Less than a week to go and no information for those who want to order the Rey de Reyes PPV in Sky México.
Normally WWE events are announced and available to be ordered in the Sky suscribers internet page well ahead of time. No such luck for AAA.

  13. @Rob: “Just to fix that list up – Guerrero Maya Jr. (w/ Valiente) and Semental (w/ Rey Bucanero) have already participated in the Gran Alternativa.”

Yes, I still remeber the Valiente Gran Alternativa / King of Trios (Chikara) weekend :(
