Garza/Olimpico advance, Mephisto plots, AAA

There was a press conference for Rey de Reyes today, where they announced the card. AAA’s website and facebook mentions this happens, hasn’t actually put up the card yet. Maybe later.

Mephisto plans to block the youth movement in CMLL, starting with his title match against Sombra this Sunday. He’s planning on keeping Sombra on the mat, feeling Sombra has much to learn there, and to have Averno in his corner so they can possibly pull some tricks.

SuperLuchas has a couple posts on the ownership of AAA. The first talks about Pena taking over the rights to the name in 1995, when Televisa suffered from that economic crisis, and the second has the paperwork to prove it.

Mi Lucha Libre has a good interview with Villano V about redebuting as Ray Mendoza Jr. He did not want to use that name at first, but has come to treat it as a new start. The same site also visits Voladorcito’s gym; he says he’s sent guys to IWRG.

XL successfully defended the X-LAW Junior Heavyweight championship over Hijo del Lizmark in Arena Queretaro.

Amo de Lucha Libre has video of Negro Navarro & Blue Panther vs Satanico & Solar (part 1, part 2). DJ Spectro posts video of Misioneros de la Muerte vs Ringo Mendoza, Americo Rocca, and Tony Salazar in a hair match. Tercera Caida has Demus and Virus.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update and the 2010 LuchaWorld, from 90 to 81. Electroshock ahead of Octagoncito????

  1. That French site calls him ‘Blue Demond’-great research!

No mention in blurb of Euro tour in June? (didn’t listen to actual interview). Demon’s trying to promote a few shows without Santo, but with Cassandro and a few others from Lucha London.
