La Mascara remains champion of his own hold

campana

CMLL (TUE) 03/08/2011 Arena Mexico [MT, Record, SuperLuchas, Estrellas del Ring]
1) Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Warrior b Aereo, Astral, Pequeño Halcón
2) Amapola, Princesa Blanca, Zeuxis b Dalys la Caribeña, Luna Mágica, Marcela
3) Diamante, Sagrado, Stuka Jr. b Nitro, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi
4) Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, La Sombra b Héctor Garza, Mr. Águila, Olímpico
5) La Máscara b Último Guerrero [MEX LH]
Nitro was UG’s second, Brazo de Oro seconded his son (which kind of gave away he was winning.) Ultimo Guerrero went for the campana again, but Mascara escaped and applied his own to keep the title.

CMLL (TUE) 03/08/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) In Memoriam b Templario
2) Camorra & Ráfaga b Black Metal & Leo
3) Metal Blanco & Palacio Negro b Puma King & Tiger Kid
Tiger Kid lost, wants a title shot. It worked for his brother (for a while.)
4) Delta, Metro, Sangre Azteca b Cancerbero, Euforia, Pólvora
Sangre got the win over Polvora here.
5) Brazo de Plata & Toscano b Ephesto & Mephisto
Porky splashed both rudos for the win.

Fantasma wants to pass a new rule where if someone is unmasked, they’re never allow to mask again. Good luck on that!

The last three finishes on last night’s Arena Aficion show were “rudo wins title match thru cheating; vacates title”, “double DQ when people on both teams foul opposition” and “disqualification for excessive violence.” Maybe it looked better than it sounds.

Lineup

CMLL (MON) 03/14/2011 Arena Puebla
1) Blue Center, Lestat, Stigma vs Ares, Centauro de Fuego, Fuerza Chicana
2) Dalys la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Luna Mágica vs Amapola, Tiffany, Zeuxis
3) Loco Max vs Escorpion [hair]
4) La Máscara, Máximo, Super Porky vs Terrible, Texano, Volador Jr.
5) Psicosis vs La Sombra

They really should have some extra money for the hair match, because this is the fewest CMLL guys on a Puebla show in some time. I still think Escorpion has a good shot here. Semimain is another Dos Leyendas lead up match.

CMLL (TUE) 03/15/2011 Arena Mexico
1) Principe & Robin vs Inquisidor & Zayco
2) Fantasy, Mini Maximo, Shockercito vs Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Warrior
3) Ángel Azteca, Ángel de Plata, Rey Cometa vs Hijo del Signo, Nitro, Puma King
4) Delta, Fuego, Sangre Azteca vs Pólvora, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi
5) Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara vs Mr. Águila, Olímpico, Volador Jr.

So much for UG defending his title.

Back to back Tuesdays for Yoshihasi! Only common opponent is Delta.

DTU (SAT) 03/19/2011 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Chica Tormenta vs Vaquerita, Lolita, Keira, Lily Fighter, Shitara, Yuki Star, Vanely
2) Fenix vs Dark Dragon, Drastic Boy, Tribal, Flamita, Dizzy, Ciclope, Eterno, Abadon
3) Hormiga, Paranoiko, Pesadilla vs Sadico, Terry 2000, Yakzua and Comando Negro, Oficial 911, Oficial AK47
4) Solar I vs Shu el Guerrero
5) Zumbido vs Freelance vs Mike Segura
6) Villano III & Villano IV vs Aeroboy & Violento Jack and Chucho el Roto & Iron Love [AULL TAG]
7) Crazy Boy vs Super Devolucion

Super Devolucion is an Austrian trained by Otto Wanz. Winner of that match gets a Mexican artifact.

  1. Tiger Kid vs Metal Blanco would be all kinds of awesome so hopefully thats whats going down.

3/14 Puebla looks great with hopefully Escorpion getting a big win and what is sure to be awesome with Sombtra vs Psicosis.

DTU card looks fun aswell Solar vs Shu and look at that three way Zumbido vs Freelance vs Segura!!Good stuff!!

  2. Sin Cara was at FCW tonight sans mask sitting by Ricky Steamboat watching the show. He’s taller than I thought he would be.

  3. yeah Hunico was on the show. He had a Triple threat tag team match. And I’m 99% sure it was Mistico who I saw.

  4. @CM93: Dorian’s stunt about working with CMLL, and Televisa airing far fewer commercials didn’t hurt. It’s where I think AAA should be. About a full point or more in front of CMLL.

  5. WarriorsX2000’s recording of AAA has it as 1h23m (and may be missing a few seconds at the start.)

  6. @thecubsfan: So 83:00 minutes and probably 11 blocks. Last time I counted I think I had 79:00 and 11 blocks. Figure the tv taping promos being cut will make an 83:00 epsisode run about 79:00.
