Card via MedioTiempo. Guessing CMLL sent out a press release last night and this should be on their site soon. Show will either air eight days later, or never at all in Mexico (though it’ll turn up on Samurai TV sooner or later.) I would’ev bet we had Rey de Reyes lineup before this one – this is why I don’t bet.
The missing opener is a minis trios.
Main event is announced as both hairs vs both hairs. Then again, CMLL.com had a video on their site declaring someone would lose a mask on this show and that’s not happening. Right now, it’s two hairs vs two hairs.
Averno vs Mascara Dorada is the only match added of real importance. I think it helps a little, but it’s still going to be a tough sell. This feud doesn’t seem to have captured the fan’s attention as they’d like, the champions don’t really mean a lot, and they’ve seen this non-title match a lot lately.
Rest of the card looks like a product of the random match generator. They all could be good, but there’s no sign of the other feuds which were being built up for possibly being on this show. Nice to see Cancerbero & Raziel make a major show, no one would’ve figured on that a couple years ago.
CMLL’s flipped around this Friday’s lineup, probably to set up the title match in this week’s main event.

The possibility for some really good matches is all over this card, and the addition of Averno vs Dorada is great, I’m expecting a amazing show from them on a big event like this.
I’m happy to see Euforia on this line-up and hope they pay close attention to him bevause he could be thier top rudo if they put some momentum behind him.
Why can’t CMLL add the Virus and Demus 3:16 match? Loser goes back the minis division and winner gets to lead the Cancerberos is the best idea ever.
I would assume Demus 3:16 vs. Virus stip match is probably going to be a main event on one of their Tuesday shows.
That’s not a bad looking card, but why not just put Rush/Diamante/Angel De Oro together to face Peste Negra or GdA. That would be a fresh match-up.
My revised card and as simple as you can get without bumping any of these guys off the card…

That said, I’d dump Toscano off this card in a heartbeat and move Valiente up and throw in someone else in the 2nd match.
I really can’t stand that CMLL doesn’t keep trios or factions together all the time or at least attempt to do so. I can understand replacing someone who no-shows or there’s an injury, but if they kept these trios together, fans would probably be more into caring about seeing them.

If it was truly random it would not team up the Cancerberos and Peste Negra – I love how it seemingly out of the blue reunites UG, Bucanero and Atlantis.
And yes please have regular trios teams, at least try to keep the champs working as a regular team, just a pet peeve!!

A so-so card that could be better
I admit I’m a Toscano fan (moreso as a rudo than tecnico) but speaking objectively for a moment – I think he’s really stepped up his game since Rush started getting pushed. I think he’s jealous or preparing for a rudo turn since he’d be a natural rival to the new “sex symbol”.
Volador Jr not being on the show just emphasises what I said 2 weeks ago – he needs to jump. CMLL clearly has no idea what to do with him. I don’t care if he has a booking in Texas – he should be the top rudo right now and on the second biggest show of the year.
As for the lineup… it’s really strong workrate wise from bottom to match five. But there isn’t a single match on this show that CMLL wouldn’t mind booking on your typical Sunday show. How’s that possible for the second biggest show of the year?
If this sells out with current prices I’d be stunned. Perhaps that would do more harm than good though b/c CMLL will feel like they can get away with these half-ass shows. I mean what’s the draw here? Porky/Maximo? You can see them lose their hair twice more this year. Dorada/Averno? Seen it. For a title? So Dorada loses? He still has two other belts. Averno loses? He’ll get another belt before May arrives. Seeing Mr Niebla’s return? He’ll have had at least three matches before this show. I’m not really sure what CMLL thinks is must-see on this show other than some (hopefully) good wrestling.
I am most concerned that Porky/Maximo are going over in the main event.:/
Other notable absences: Hijo Del Fantasma/Mephisto.
Hopefully the mini’s match ends up with Dorada/Astral/Electrico vs Pierrothito/Peq Warrior/DEMUS! By the way – are we sure tonight’s match isn’t the stip match between Virus and Demus? I wouldn’t put it past CMLL to just assume we all know it is even though they never made it clear.
I wonder if that Rush/Toscano booking is because Sombra was supposed to Latin Lover at some point. Though they could’ve still easily switched it around later.
@Rob: If tonight is the stip match, CMLL has done a remarkable poor job of announcing it.

I wonder if maybe Fantasma/Mephisto might resurface in the main event for next week’s slack off week.
@Rob: A lot of the guys listed for Dos Leyendas are booked on the show in Texas. I wasn’t using that as his reason for not being on the Dos Leyendas show. He might be booked elsewhere, which I’m sure news will pop-up in the coming days.
With the way Mr. Niebla comes and goes, Dos Leyendas could either be his first or last match OR he could no-show. It just amazes me how much they’ll cater to him and yet they’ll not book someone like Volador Jr. or Hector Garza on this show.
@Alfredo: Garza not being on the show made me realize that the Invasors have completely disappeared. The PI tournament appearances were the only Arena Mexico bookings in February. Does CMLL even bother taking any of their masks at this point?

CMLL has a ton of talent, so there are always going to be guys who just aren’t on the show. I like it like that. It’s better than having that “everyone has to be on the show” mentality like a US indie or AAA, with a show that runs four hours.
They could be holding something back now, to throw competition on May 13 against WWE.
Padrisimo! Televisa made the two offices do that show. You know, if AAA and CMLL were to work together to do another Padrisimo to throw competition against the May WWE tour, I swear that Televisa would take WWE’s side and do nothing to be a part of the event. They would probably discourage it if it upset OCESA and WWE.
@LLL: I think there’s probably some other show elsewhere that same Friday since half the guys on the Texas show are not booked in Arena Mexico.

Magnus should debut under the Mistico mask as Dorada’s second on this show. Sure it’s stupid but it would be vintage CMLL.
