Cancerberos for trios titles, Dorada/Averno, Zorro

CMLL (MON) 02/21/2011 Arena Puebla [SporTimes, Fuego en el Ring]
1) Ares & Centauro de Fuego b Blue Center & Silver
First match for Silver here since September.
2) Asturiano, Fabián el Gitano, Metálico b Demus 3:16, Durango Kid, Espiritu Maligno
3) Escorpion, Puma King, Raziel b Hooligan, Loco Max, Nitro
Escorpion challenged Loco Max to a singles match after the win.
4) Nosferatu, Pólvora, Virus b Ángel de Oro, Diamante, Rush
Despite Noferatu filling in for Euforia, the rudos still won this match for the second straight week. Title match demanded and accepted for next week.
5) Blue Panther, La Máscara, Máscara Dorada b Atlantis, Averno, Último Guerrero
Averno and Dorada were ripping masks thru the match, and Dorada beat Averno again. Mascara Dorada demanded a title match, but Averno refused again.

Zorro in his mask – or someone else wearing Zorro’s mask – was seen on this week’s AAA TV. Their website suddenly remembers TripleMania from two years ago, where a masked Zorro attacked the Legion to cost them the match, and then was really never explained (“he was crazy, he’s slightly better now” is the closest they came), hopefully suggesting we may get a resolution to all of that. (Nah.)

Usual article about adults teaching lucha libre to children to keep children off of drugs and from a bad lifestyle is a bit more interesting because it’s the Mexico City education department and lucha commission sponsoring (Fantasma), various retired people (Emilio Charles! Signo!) and members of CMLL (only Panther mentioned here, Rush and Loco Max elsewhere.) It’s the sort of event where they had a Solar vs Negro Navarro match to kick it off. They want to being lucha libre to the neighborhood spaces. There are some odd shots in the parts of the speeches quoted: US wrestling is unregulated because it’s pure show but still bad for the youth. Also, the problems this initiative is combating – violence, obesity, and drug abuse – are referred to as “Perros del Mal”. Maybe that’s just word play, but perhaps there’s some overlap. This article randomly is accompanied by a picture of Cibernetico, who has surely never taken an illicit substance in his life.

La Presna thinks CMLL will be forced to address the Mistico situation whenever they announce the Dos Leyendas main event (which supposedly will happen this Thursday or next.) I doubt it – they would’ve already if they ever were going to (it’s been 22 days), and that press conference should be about that show.

A Box Y Lucha rumor column suggests Los Perros del Mal, LA Park and Dr. Wagner are all returning to Arena Mexico. One paragraph down, they also had Mistico showing up in Puebla on Saturday, which didn’t happen and wasn’t ever going to happen, so…

Angel de Oro, Diamante, and Fuego will face Felino, Polvora, and Misterioso on 03/20 in Arena Coliseo, all dressed as a paper robots. This is the same CMLL contribution to the Kami-Robo museum exhibit earlier this year. Not sure if it’s part of the usual Sunday show or something separate, but I hope we get to see it. It sounds at least as good as the Hulk vs Abomination match.
