IWRG (SUN) 02/20/2011 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), The Gladiatores, Estrellas del Ring]
1) Black Sky & Dragon Fly b Guerrero 2000 & Halcon 2000
Straight falls.
2) Eragon, Golden Magic, Hijo del Pantera b Carta Brava Jr., El Pollo Asesino, Imposible
Pollo is now Pollo Asesino, but his team lost when the other two were pinned. Match changed around from the announced match.
3) Comando Negro, Hammer, Magnifico b el Ángel, Explosivo, Multifacético
Comando Negro pinned Multifacetico with a hand on the roeps. Tecnicos demanded revenge. Angel replaced Angel.
4) Último Gladiador b Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 [UWF US HEAVY, eightfinal]
5) Pirata Morgan b Pantera [UWF US HEAVY, eightfinal]
Pantera domianted the match but lost.
6) Electroshock b El Hijo de Aníbal [UWF US HEAVY, eightfinal]
7) Veneno b La Rocca [UWF US HEAVY, eightfinal]
Veneno used his karate moves to win.
8) Pirata Morgan b Último Gladiador [UWF US HEAVY, quarterfinal]
Ultimo Gladiador missed a dive (again!) and lost.
9) Electroshock b Veneno [UWF US HEAVY, quarterfinal]
10) Pirata Morgan b Electroshock [UWF US HEAVY, quarterfinal]
Pirata used a ref distraction to foul Electroshock and advance.
11) El Brazo DQ Head Hunter I [UWF US HEAVY, semifinal]
Both advanced here by being the last two in a seeding battle royal. Their match lasted two minutes before Head Hunter accidentally hit the ref, causing the DQ.
12) Pirata Morgan b El Brazo [UWF US HEAVY, final]
Brazo hurt himself on a dive and it looked like the match was going to stop, but Brazo continued. Pirata ended up submitting him to win the title. Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. appeared to hand over the title.
Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. had won the UWF US Heavyweight championship from Hijo del Pirata Morgan on 2010-12-19 in this building. The title originates in Laredo Promotions in northern Mexico, where the Piratas had been working last year. Haven’t seen shows from them yet this year. Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. is out of action with a back injury, but requested a title match when he returns.
CMLL (SUN) 02/20/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Nube Roja b Thunder Boy
2) Metálico & Trueno b Drago & Infierno
3) Goya Kong & Silueta b La Comandante & Princesa Blanca
Upset. Blanca replaced Seductora.
4) Cancerbero, Inquisidor, Pólvora b Ángel de Oro, Gallo, Metal Blanco
Rudos win. This was two straight wins for Inquisidor over Metal Blanco, setting up a title match next week.
5) Hijo del Fantasma, Super Porky, Valiente b Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano Jr.
Rudos (including Perico and Comadante) didn’t get along in the third fall. Perico ended up attack Terrible to help Fantasma win.
Porky also found time to challenge Satanico to a hair match (which is the fourth different challenge he’s made in the last couple of weeks.) Satanico said he’d accept, once he recovers from recent surgery.
The Perros del Mal makeup show included a main event ended in DQ, Super Crazy suddenly remembered he was a Perro and shouldn’t be teaming with Jack and Extreme Tiger.
Magnus is taking Mistico’s place on the shows in Monterrey and Satillo this weekend. They’re wasting no time. Mistico is supposed to be on The Platanito Show on Telehit tonight at 10pm. The segment was taped last week, and Mistico appears with the new red cross mask on the show’s facebook page. That channel has a US feed – it’s around 651 for me. I’ll post video if anything interesting happens.
Sexi Star, Mesias, Chessman and La Parka crashed “Sabadaz en Pajamanas” to have a word with squaky mascot Winnie the Kid (last seen feuding with Shocker.) He brought in Latin Lover to counter. Latin Lover demonstrated how to throw punches (shake the camera, make a sound effect). This is a confusing paragraph, but I think we can now add Winnie to our list of suspects for Mesias’ attack.

“udos (including Perico and Comadante) didn’t get along in the third fall. Perico ended up attack Terrible to help Fantasma win.”
Sounds like a set up for another Rey Buccanero technico turn.
Is that Sabadaz en Pajamas clip from this year? I find it odd to see Latin Lover with AAA guys on the same show. Is it that in Mexico they’re more laid back when it comes to wrestlers from different companies being at the same public appearance? Is Latin Lover going back to AAA? Or is Latin Lover not officially part of CMLL but rather working show by show?
@Daniel: It’s from this past Saturday.
Quick ? on seeding battle royals: do they typically lead to first eliminated vs second eliminated, third vs fourth, etc… or is it first vs last, second vs second to last, etc?
Usually, they’re first out vs second out, third out vs fourth out, etc.
