CMLL (FRI) 12/10 Arena Mexico [CMLL]
1) Hooligan & Mortiz b Ángel de Plata & Guerrero Maya Jr.
2) Delta, Fuego, Stuka Jr. b Euforia, Pólvora, Sangre Azteca
3) Volador Jr. b Shocker [Copa Jr., quarterfinal]
4) La Sombra b Mephisto [Copa Jr., sixteenfinal]
5) Olímpico b Rush [Copa Jr., sixteenfinal]
6) La Máscara b Felino [Copa Jr., sixteenfinal]
7) Dragón Rojo Jr. b Máximo [Copa Jr., sixteenfinal]
8) La Sombra b Olímpico [Copa Jr., eightfinal]
9) Dragón Rojo Jr. b La Máscara [Copa Jr., eightfinal]
10) Dragón Rojo Jr. b La Sombra [Copa Jr., quarterfinal]
11) Dragón Rojo Jr. b Volador Jr. [Copa Jr., semifinal]
12) Latin ♥, Místico, Strong Man b Héctor Garza, Mr. Águila, Terrible
Mistico and Strong Man beat Terrible & Mr. Aguila in the main event, but the rudos beat up Latin after the match.
The guy who isn’t really a junior wins the first half! The way the tournament worked out, Dragon Rojo had to win three straight matches to win the tournament, including over the much fresher man Volador Jr. (who had won the bye over Shocker.) No easy opponents too, which builds him up nicely for the likely final: Mistico is a strong favorite for next week.
Polvora and Sangre Azteca continued to have issues in the second match. Polvora stopped Euforia from coming back in the end, leaving Sangre to be beat 3 on 1.
Guerrero Maya took the Spanish Fly to the floor from Mortiz. That’s a bit of an upset win for the rudos to win.
No Tirantes on the show. Olimpico upsetting Rush is the only good note for the Invasors this week.
Perros del Mal says their anniversary show will start airing on Monday.
On AAA’s site, Cuervo talks about his trip to Japan. I’ve post the first match of his tour on YouTube.
Black Terry Jr. posted video of Aerostar, Relampago and Gato Eveready vs Terrible Cerebros, and Alan Extreme vs Eterno from Thursday. Amo de Lucha Libre posts part of the Chico Che vs Comando Negro match.

I would totally enjoy Dragon Rojo getting the win over Mistico here. If Mistico is in the doghouse with CMLL (and, this is technically the “off-season”), I can totally see a Rojo win against Mistico in the finals…
I know the odds are not high but if Misterioso was to win his block and then go on to defend his Poder Mexica pride after allthe talk it would be amazing.
But if this is a Rojo vs Mistico final it would be pretty huge for Rojo and I think they could have a very fun match.
@DragonGateFan: The Misterioso possibility, very interesting and fun!
Somehow I have the feeling (based on what has happened this year in terms of pushes) that the chances look good for Angel de Oro too.
Introduced on Ras de Lona as new CMLL luchadors
– Signo Jr.
– Enrique Vera Jr. (the kid)
– Magnus
– Hombre Bala Jr.
– Super Halcon Jr.
– Dragon Lee
– Boby Zavala (only unmasked)
Signo, Vera and Bala we know – this is the thin son of Hombre Bala, not the one who’s been Monsther. Dragon Lee is Rush’s brother who just won in bodybuilding. Super Halcon has been an opening guy in IWRG and Arena Lopez Mateos this year, son of Halcon Ortiz. Magnus is an unknown, but says Salazar & Colombo trained him. Zavala said he’s an Arkangel trainee and appeared on the May Toryumon show under that name.
BTW, when JCR intro the segment by talking about ‘a son of a Misionero de la Muerte’ and it turned out to be SIGNO, that was a range of emotions right there.
Fox Sports started 20 minutes late :(
In the order they were presented: Angel Azteca Jr., Molotov and Trueno (captain) vs Durango Kid, Virus (captain) and Euforia.
@conjuarez: Started late? Must’ve been an important live event, like Brazilian Women’s Volleyball.
@LLL: No, it was a Real Madrid Soccer game :P
I was surprised at looking at Charly Manson doing the invitation to not switch channel during commercial pause… Whaaaa? :O
CMLL TV will be Copa Junior + main event.
Guessing the first show of 2011 will be the second half of the 12/3 show.
They should explain the rules here.
Fox Sport shortened the program… not a 1hr show :(
Crowd shots don’t bother me as much any more. Definitely has something to do with Latin Lover in the main event.
@conjuarez: No surprise. Any sports network is bad for Lucha Libre. Lucha belongs on general entertainment networks, like Unicable or Cadena Tres.
@Rob: Those three girls were model level for sure. They look like they want to be discovered for edecan or something like that.
Can’t believe they’re editing 3 minute matches down.
Well… actually I can. Still sad though.
CMLL is now 38 minutes of content per hour, 22 minutes for Televisa. CMLL’s 38 minutes includes the long promos for house shows.
Today’s show should have been all Copa and the main should air another day.
Riano said Sombra’s uncle is “Gallo……” and I missed the second part.
Anyone know what aired on the Viva la Lucha ppv? I didn’t see any hype for this one.
Now, wasn’t the move La Mascara did on Dragón Rojo, Jr. (blurred for obvious reasons) supposed to be Maximo’s?
Should I go to FCW in Winter Haven tonight?
No Momentos. News segment said there would be ‘best of’ showS airing soon.
How do you not show the intros when Lover is in the main event? The screaming girls is what it’s all about.
@Rob: Sure. 12/25 makes sense instead of giving away the big stip matches on free television.
Christmas and new years have to be best of because they’re not running on friday those days
Correct. In fact the TV show will end right when the Arena Mexico show is starting if they stick to their normal hour. I would find it much funnier (and appropriate for CMLL) if they aired the TV show at the same time as the live show.
@Alan: wrestling observer is saying that it was headlined by a blue demon ve el generico match….
And like always, LATV is a repeat but you already knew this.
Looks like they might skip the Women’s match as the Local’s start off GDL.
Yeah it’s Metal Blanco/Gallo vs Truenos.
The local GDL producer may be a genius. Or a smark.
I can see why Metal Blanco isn’t in DF yet. He’s got a regular small athletic body. He’s gotta get jacked to get noticed. That said – he’s improving.
This is kind of funny. They have their own music playing while the announcers announce who is coming to the ring, or when they flash a logo for the network or cmll.com. That music reminds me of 100% Lucha from Argentina.
Is this a one hour show?
ACM is another repeat with the Hernandez match from 4/25
@LLL
I agree with you, how can they edit the entrances not only when Latin Lover is in the main event but this is his first televised CMLL match, and it was an All Star line up on the technico side, plus one major star on the rudo side. There should have been entrances, that’s a no brainer. Shame on whoever edited this episode.
I’m curious as to what Latino’s entrance theme was, and whether or not he stripped on the stage, the stairs, the ramp, or in the ring, and I’m curious as to whether or not the edacan’s served as back up dancers.
What a great main event match. Having Latin Lover makes a huge difference for the better. Not only is he awesome but all the other performers step up their game 10 times when he’s in the match. This man does wonders for lucha libre.
The team of Latin Lover, Mistico, and Strong Man Jon Anderson was a dream team. I can’t wait for the day when Latin Lover is on the same team as Brazo de Plata. That’s something we never got to see in AAA but it’s only a matter of time before we see it in CMLL.
ACM talking about WWE house show vs. WWE PPV.
BTW- For those who missed CMLL on MEGA6, it repeats on Sunday at 1p and 7p EST.
12 EST. Didn’t know about that second repeat though… that could come in handy. Thanks!
And you can hear what Latin Lover’s entrance music is if you listen to radiocmll. I could tell you right now what it was if I was a nice guy but I’m not. Thank goodness.
Per your twitter post about where to host files, you might want to try http://www.multiupload.com/ which puts the file up on multiple file hosting websites at the same time (megaupload, rapidshare, depositfiles, etc.) as well as to the multiupload server.
This gives the person downloading a variety of destination to potentially download & when the multiupload server link comes up for download (usually only about 50% of the time is a multiupload download link generated in the list : ( ) it is super fast
@Alan: I didn’t see it mentioned until this Friday. I checked the PPV channels and didn’t see it listed.
Wagner vs. Zorro is on is anyone is interested.
I’m waiting for the day that Zorro canes the shit out of that gremlin joaquin roldan.
@LLL: is anyone interested in AAA period?
I hope Paco D’Alonzo puts his personal feelings for Octagon aside and lets him bck into CMLL. After today’s match it’s obvious that Konnan and Dorian don’t respect him and just want to do what they can to make him look weak and feable, much like how Russo treated the veterans in the WWF and WCW.
@LLL: im surprised they put it so early in the broadcast
@Daniel: dont you contradict yourself by asking whos interested when youre watching the product?
@CM93: I was surpised as well the El Zorro vs Dr Wagner match should have aired last. Poor Zorro even when he wins, he still gets screwed.
@Calabcd44: was the match good? i only saw the 1st 5 minutes
@CM93: I
will say this Wagner actually looked like you wanted to give a crap about him (I know it’s been months) the match I thought was ok until the finish which Joaquin Roldan ruined (damn gremlin).
@CM93: It was a lot of Konnan standing on the ring apron with a bat wrapped with barbed wire and the eventual run-ins. Cameraman getting in the way too.
@Alan: Was the PPV called ‘Retribution’? Because if so, this is the match list:
