Pegasso actually turned up! Rey Cometa is still at large.
Luchas2000 said the opener was the best match.
Hijo de Cien Caras
The nightclub, owned by the woman with him, is said to have been distributing drugs.
El Hijo del Santo says his goodbyes. It’s also the best obit I’ve seen. It also mentions Hijo de Cien Caras was married, not to the woman in the car, and had four children.
Other News
SuperLuchas both mentions an unnamed radio show rumor that Satanico was being removed as in charge of Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, and then confirms Satanico, Mascara Magica and Pato Soria are still running the place. Presumably this is the radio show Apolo Dantes appears on in Guadalajara.
Today in banned YouTube videos: Rob’s SuperAstros tribute.

- AAA has a close up of the circular Bizarros logo sticker they’ve been wearing, and looks back at the origin of Scoria. The TV still of his original gimmick looks amazingly familiar.

- Diario Basta tries to explain Amadeus. Impossible.
- DTU hypes Vaneli, appearing on their 12/18 show.

Lineups
CMLL (TUE) 12/07 Arena Mexico
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II vs Apolo Estrada Jr. & Disturbio
2) Leono, Metálico, Molotov vs Durango Kid, Escorpion, Puma King
3) Guerrero Maya Jr., Rey Cometa, Sensei vs Loco Max, Nitro, Skándalo
4) Blue Panther, Shocker, Toscano vs Misterioso II, Terrible, Texano
5) Dragón Rojo Jr. & Último Guerrero vs Héctor Garza & Mr. Águila [CMLL TAG]
Dragon Rojo & Ultimo Guerrero will break the defense record if they keep defending it every three weeks. This is a better topic for Friday’s preview, but it does seem unlikely the Invasors will be swept again if they’re meant to continue at all in 2011.
Semimain is Terrible’s return after being hurt in Japan.

I actually remember when Rob first saw SuperAstros! LOL!
Another cool column by Rob.
They still use Superastros music in FCW. I think Hunico and Epico have been coming out to it.
Vince immediately had a huge fight with Univision CEO Rodriguez regarding the synergy promoting PPV’s, DVD’s, video games, house shows, and shows on other networks.
Santo had tremendous heat with the talent because he would never take the mask off backstage.
I don’t remember the show doing poor ratings from the start and getting worse. I remember some 8’s and 9’s in the first few months.
Superastros was introduced for the fall season of 1998 with El Gordo y La Flaca and Republica Deportiva, which went on to be very successful.
This actually relates to AAA on Galavision(Univision owns them) today. Univision makes Televisa remove any references to upcoming events. They don’t want the viewer to think the show is old.
If you are a Hispanic in the WWE you will be given the SuperAstros theme music at some point. Didn’t Rey get that music in his dark matches back in 2002?
