IWRG (SUN) 10/17 Arena Nauclpan [Al Filo del Ring, The Gladiatores]
1) Alan Extreme b Keshin Black
2) Aeroman & Tonatiuh b Epidemia & Nemesis
3) Comando Negro, El Hijo del Diablo, Magia Negra b Centauro, Chico Che, Freelance
4) Christian, El Hijo de Aníbal, Jack DQ Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro, Samot
5) Alan Stone, Billy Boy, Eterno, Gemelo Fantastico I, Gemelo Fantastico II, Konnan b Dr. Cerebro, Oficial 911, Tinieblas Jr.
Of course Konnan didn’t wrestle in the main event. Instead, he revealed the Gemelos were actually from France (actually Toluca) and Eterno was from the US (actually Ecatepec) and they wrestled on his team in the main event – and Oficial 911 turned too.
DQ in semimain was for Oficial run-ins, including perhaps a new one. Samot replaced Marshall (maybe related to there beign a new Oficial) and Jack replaced Veneno. Christian is said to look untrained and having little to offer but his muscular look. I wonder which of AAA or CMLL will sign him.
Hijo del Diablo pulled some trick to win the tercera, the best match of the night. Chico Che replaced Aeroman, who ended up in the second match. Couldn’t find a picture of him.
CMLL (SUN) 10/17 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Héros (GDL) b Gran Kenut
2) Tondar b Cerveruz

4) Leo & Metal Blanco b Drago & Mr. Trueno

6) Brazo de Plata, Máximo, Místico DQ Mr. Águila, Olímpico, Texano Jr.
Mr. Aguila fouled Super Porky for the DQ.
Luchas2000, via DJ Spectro, says Black Abyss has left AAA and is headed to CMLL. It’ll be interesting if another ex-AAA guy keeps his gimmick in CMLL. The magazine has an interview with Psicosis and Black Abyss, so it’s not like Black Abyss is just wishing he’s headed to CMLL all on his own. Psicosis III and Histeria III are still turning up on house show lineups, but not really on TV.
Joystiq posted a review of AAA’s game, rating it 2 out of 5.
Lucha Libre is just a shallow knock-off, with limited move-sets, nonsensical story modes, and no gimmicks beyond handicap matches and hair vs. mask grudge matches.
Joystiq appears to be the only major sites to have reviewed the game. There’s another review at Gaming Ahead.
Tiger & Jack in NOAH results via Puroresu Representin’
10/18: Kotaro Suzuki & Go Shiozaki b Extreme Tiger & Jack Evans [Go pins Tiger] – not part of the tournament
10/19: Extreme Tiger TLDRAW Ricky Marvin [15 minute limit]
10/19: Jack Evans b Satoshi Kajiwara & Taiji Ishimori [Jack pin Kajiwara]
You aren’t really in NOAH until you’ve had a pointless time limit draw. Hooray for Extreme Tiger.

Lineups
CMLL (TUE) 10/19 Arena Aficion
1) Templario vs Slahs
2) Ares, Mascara Oriental, Nino de Fuego vs Antar, Cronos, Zairus
3) Brazo de Platino, Brazo de Platino Jr., Robin vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Skándalo
4) Brazo de Plata & Máximo vs Terrible & Texano Jr.
5) Volador Jr. vs La Máscara
They’re billing the main event as for the bicentennial cup, but I don’t think that’s meant to be defended. It’s a rematch of the final.

No truth to the rumor that today’s post was delayed due to National Reevaluate Your Life Day.
@thecubsfan: I do that every time I think about watching lucha on Teleformula!
Does Miss Jackie appear twice on the PdM Tijuana show poster?
@Rip:
Indeed she does. :)
If Black Abyss does indeed end up with CMLL, expect some guy from IWRG or DTU to be the next Black Abyss II. Heck, AAA might as well stick a foreigner in that Viper gimmick.
Smackdown 8.7
CMLL 2.6
AAA 4.5
CMLL getting such a low rating with Charly vs. Manson is pathetic.
@LLL: Oops. Meant Charly vs. Negro
since we actually have 13 weeks of data in a row, here’s a celebratory line graph: http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/9438/13weeks.png
@thecubsfan: AAA had that fluke 6.9 a few weeks ago. Take it out and i think we see a clearer picture of how AAA is trending.
I was surprised to see RAW do so well on USA against both MNF and Cliff Lee pitching vs. the Yankees.
People seem to be giving up on CMLL on Televisa.
Oops. I didn’t post a weekend in June during the World Cup. I guess that was the break.
Friday 6/11
Smackdown 6.9
Sunday 6/13
CMLL 3.1
AAA 5.9 But they did a 7.1 in the Mexico City market. Ratings are usually higher there anyway.
CMLL was still airing on Sunday before AAA. It seems like right around this time, after the Cup, AAA started to drop in the ratings. This coincides with some accurate complaints on this board about the quality of AAA tapings, with too much focus on Konnan and Dorian in the promos.
