Very bad attendance. I was just watching the AAA taping from Arena Naucalpan last night. The building was jam packed for that, and this was near the opposite. Show also started late – 9pm – and didn’t finish until midnight.
Silver King snuck in a foul on Pirata Morgan for the main event. Before the main event, “Titan” from Argentina was introduced. He’s unmasked muscle guy who challenged Silver King.
Oficials and Mascaras looks like a bloody brawl. Pirata Jr. repalced Mascara Jr.
Veneno replaced Freelance. Freelance is in a neckbrace thanks to what Comando Negro did to him in their last match, and Comando attacked him again here. Guerrero Negro is new here – possibly the Monterrey guy by that name?
Tonatiuh replaced Hijo del Panetra.
AAA has a bizarre Vampiro promo. AAA is also part of a benefit show on 10/07 for a child who needs a bone marrow transplant.
Not much talk about tonight’s Arena Mexico show. CMLL’s overshadowed it with yesterday’s press conference (which NJPW reported on later in the day), and really that’s been overshadowed by Mistico’s complaints about CMLL programming. I wonder if we’ll get a counter argument from them in the next few days?
Anyway, today’s Arena Mexico show could have some really good matches – the minis match and Mascara/Dorada/Valiente vs Avernos look great, and there’s other matches which might be good. However, they’re stuck in a holding pattern for the next three weeks, unless they’ve got a big match for Lyger to go out on.

I’m heading to the Dragon Gate USA on Saturday; I think my plan now is just to write the post while I’m there, and not bother with doing results on Twitter. The plan is to check out the Dragon Gate USA Milwaukee show on Sunday afternoon and see if I can make it back to Congress Theatre for the LA Park & Hijo de LA Park vs Dr. Wagner Jr. & Dr. Wagner III match on Sunday night, so there may be random tweets from I-94. Say hi if you see me.

LATV was the 9/4 edition of Ras de Lona.
Can Mistico leave CMLL for AAA?
“Mistico” can’t. Sounds like he’s under contract and doesn’t actually want to leave.
I read your tweets Cubs. In what ways do you think CMLL can improve their business model?
That guy “Titan” looks like he can be a star. I could tell by looking at him that he’s from Argentina b/c he is so Italian looking. Will we find out he’s some guy who is so bad he can’t get work in 100% Lucha? AAA should use him.
Great, now Vampiro is GQ Money meets Criss Angel
