CMLL (SUN) 08/15 Arena Mexico [SuperLuchas, @cmllmagazine, Cesar]
1) Astro Boy & Bengala b Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Amapola, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Blanca b Dalys la Caribeña, Luna Mágica, Marcela
3) Mr. Águila, Shigeo Okumura, Texano Jr. b Hijo del Fantasma, Metro, Sagrado
4) Rush b Loco Max [hair]
5) Atlantis, Héctor Garza, Rey Bucanero b Brazo de Plata, Místico, Rayo de Jalisco Jr.
Atlantis snuck in a foul on Rayo for the win. Rayo wants a one on one mask match.
Rush took the last two falls to take Loco’s hair. Loco brought his son in the ring, saying he’d avenge his father someday. Loco had his son cut his hair. 2/3rds of the way thru, the barber took the razor and tried to take over, and Loco Max angrily walked out. There was a delay, and Loco Max returned (clearly having been talked to by people in charge) to get his hair cut the rest of the way by the barber. It always seems like the barber is very concerned with being the barber and adding to his count of people shaved, regardless of what other story is being told.
A few replacements: Dalis (who ended up hurt) for Lady Apache, Okumura for Ephesto, Bengali for Trueno.
Lyger, Niebla, Ultimo Guerrero and Atlantis have already been added to the cage match. The full card is supposed to be announced tomorrow.
Black Terry Jr. has lots of photos from Verano de Escandalo.
Cibernetico says he plans to become an actor and move out of wrestling. Sure, why not. I’d take this more seriously if it wasn’t in article about the play he was already acting in.
Misterioso II was back in La Laguna this Sunday, defending the DF Light Heavyweight championship. The what now? Same article confirms the new Ultimo Rebelde is related (and probably a son) of Hooligan.
Lucha Libre USA recaps: PWTorch, 411Mania. The sons of Ric Flair will be appearing at the next taping. Not exactly lucha libre, but it might sell some tickets in Charlotte.
DJ Spectro has an interview with Atlantis & Satanico about their rivalary and Antonio Inoki in Mexico.
SuperLuchas has a bio of Oaxaca’s Casanova.
Cronicas Y Leyendas has articles on Sangre Chicana vs Cachorro Mendoza, Ray Mendoza taking Sunny War Cloud’s hair, Bam Bam Bigelow in Mexico, and Mil Mascaras beating Victor Rivera for his hair.
Luchas 2000 #534 has a preview of the CMLL cage match, before people were added.
Lineups
? was Jerry Lynn. He’s hurt, but will still appear at their show. This is heads up with the AAA taping at IWRG’s place. IWL’s website is actually up. A couple more recaps: Al Filo del Ring, one up at DJ Spectro‘s I really liked.

5) Blue Panther, Shocker, Strong Man vs Jushin Liger, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero
Strong Man did finish with 4 points in the G1, which was about 4 more than I was expecting. CMLL hasn’t mentioned it at all, so they probably were expecting the same (or just don’t want to mention the unbeatable guy being beat.)
IWRG (SUN) 08/22 Arena Naucalpan
1) Dinamic Black vs Epidemia
2) Eragon, Freelance, Jack vs Carta Brava Jr., Comando Negro, Imposible
3) Dr. Cerebro vs El Hijo del Diablo [IWRG IC Light]
4) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Chico Che, Veneno vs Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro, Oficial Marshal
5) El Brazo vs Scorpio Jr. [Guapito]
Main event is for possession of Guapito. For real.
That’s Diablo’s third shot at this belt.

I don’t know if it is a sign of MTV already starting to give up on Masked Warriors, but over the weekend the MTVTres airing was moved from its regular Saturday 10 PM airing to 1 AM Sunday.
I notice that too. They need to put the show on earlier in the evening.
