IWRG (SUN) 07/25 Arena Naucalpan [SL375]
1) Comando Negro b Héros
2) Eragon & Freelance b Magia Negra & Nemesis
3) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro DQ Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Gringo Loco
4) Hijo de Pirata Morgan & Pierroth Jr. (IWRG) b Hijo del Cien Caras & Máscara Año 2000 Jr.
5) Pirata Morgan, Scorpio Jr., Veneno b Joe Lider, La Parka Jr., Silver King
From last Sunday. Everyone was too busy at the Expo to write results for this show. Parka and Silver King couldn’t get along, so he and Lider turned on Silver and helped the IWRG team win.
Semimain was a straight fall win. I guess that sets up a tag title match?
Black Terry grabbed Diablo’s leg and simulated a foul to draw the DQ. That does set up a title match next week.
CMLL (SUN) 08/01 Arena Coliseo [@cmllmagazine]
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II DQ Apocalipsis & Mortiz
2) Fabián el Gitano, Guerrero Maya Jr., Starman b Dr. X, Inquisidor, Nitro
3) Cancerbero, Loco Max, Pólvora DQ Delta, Metro, Rush
4) Felino, Negro Casas, Ray Mendoza Jr. b Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, Toscano
5) Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto b Charly Manson, Mr. Águila, Olímpico
Looks like CMLL won clean in the main event.
The parrot with Rey Bucanero on Friday was with Negro & Felino for the semimain. Rudos won when Negro Casas, previously eliminated, snuck back in to help
Rudos took the tercera when Loco Max faked a foul from Rush. Rush is already making the hair vs hair challenges. Polvora suffered a head injury in the first fall, but finished the match.
DQ in the opener was for Mortiz pulling Rayo I’s mask.
Sexy Star recap: WON reports she’s called here looking for a tryout. She unsubtly posted a photo of a Tampa road sign on Twitter and missed this week’s AAA taping. Everyone assumes it’s a tease of her trying out with TNA (not taping this week) or FCW. SuperLuchas makes the leap from assumption to fact, confirming she’s enrolled in the tryout class. Sexy Star yells at SuperLuchas over Twitter, questioning their professionalism. Photo turns up with (unmasked) Sexy Star getting a drink with a bunch of other people trying out. I guess she just happened to run into them! What a crazy coincidence.
Sexy’s twitter also includes her and Rain hanging out, so I guess Rain is also not trying out. I hope their not tryouts go great! The physical posters in Orizaba list the Christina/Sexy/Alex vs Mari/Fabi/Aero match as for the Reina de Reinas and Mixed Tag Titles, so perhaps everyone is keeping their options open. (The official card posted on AAA’s site do not mention that stip.)
Cesar points towards Sexy Star as towards a pattern of luchadors revealing themselves, but Sexy Star’s identity was known from the first day she was in AAA. She was quickly connected to her unmasked identity in Monterrey early on. Since all those unmasked photos are out there, it does make you wonder why she didn’t lose her mask last year.
Other Stuff:
Dorian Roldan & Crazy Boy were at a press conference for Rally Pro Lemon Films, who’s big idea is to do films in style of the El Santo & Blue Demon films. I remember when the AAA anime movie was just about to come out, there were plenty of interviews saying those films wouldn’t work today.
411 Mania has a review of this week’s Lucha Libre USA. I need to start remembering to link to these.
SuperLuchas #375 teases Parka in Japan and Wagner beat up by Vampiro.
Segunda Caida has reviews of three more Black Terry Jr. matches, including the one from the Expo that just got posted.
Lineups
IWRG (THU) 08/05 Arena Naucalpan
1) Imperial vs Mixteco Jr.
2) Dinamic Black & Silver Boy vs Alan Extreme & Imposible
3) Cerebro Negro, Eragon, Miss Gaviota vs Comando Negro, Eterno, Magia Negra
4) Chico Che, Freelance, Suicida vs Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Gringo Loco
5) Electroshock, Último Gladiador, Zorro vs Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Trauma I
Zorro’s first match as part of this feud. Hard to miss how AAA’s completely ignored this feud in their own promotion outside of the TripleMania bit. Silver King’s belt has made an appearance, but that’s it. I think they’re doing a Trauma I/Ultimo Gladiador feud.
I think Impossible has been a rudo since at least the expo and I haven’t updated it. Sorry, dude.
IWRG (SUN) 08/08 Arena Naucalpan
1) Alan Extreme vs Super Halcon Jr.
2) Eragon & Hijo del Pantera vs Comando Negro & Magia Negra
3) Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Gringo Loco vs Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro [MEX TRIOS]
4) Gato Eveready & Laredo Kid vs Aerostar & Súper Fly and Oficial 911 & Oficial AK47 and Oficial Fierro & Oficial Marshal
5) Billy Boy, Decnnis, El Brazo vs Scorpio Jr., Trauma I, Veneno
Main event is a rematch. I have no idea why the semimain is a three way and not an atomicos. Title match is try two for the challengers against these champions.
CMLL (SUN) 08/08 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Javier Cruz Jr. vs Templario
2) Idolo & Virgo vs Drago & Infierno
3) Metal Blanco & Palacio Negro vs Ángel del Mal & Rey Trueno
4) Eléctrico, Mascarita Dorada, Meteoro vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito
5) La Máscara, La Sombra, Shocker vs Jushin Liger, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero
Surprised Meteoro is the extra mini instead of Saturno. Maybe Pierrothito was right about the kid ducking him!
That’s a main event.
CMLL (SUN) 08/08 Arena Mexico
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II vs Apocalipsis & Mortiz
2) Goya Kong, Lady Apache, Luna Mágica vs La Comandante, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sujei
3) Delta, Metro, Rush vs Dr. X, Loco Max, Skándalo
4) Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto vs El Alebrije, Histeria, Psicosis
5) Místico, Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Terrible, Texano Jr. vs Atlantis, Brazo de Plata, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr. [Relevos Increíbles]
Main event is supposed to tease Mistico/Volador and Rayo/Atlantis, so I wonder what Porky vs Terrible & Texano finish they’ll end up doing here.
Loco and Rush keeps going. Wonder if they’ll keep it going all the way until the September Fan Appreciation show? (Or maybe I’m wrongly dismissing their chances of main eventing the anniversary show!)
Cesar has his own preview of the CMLL lineups.
Same bull ring as the Mistico/Oriental show, though not the same promoter. They’re promoting this as the first time the two fathers and sons have faced off, but I don’t think that’s quite enough.
