Dr. X/Diamante, Scorpio, lots of lineups

CMLL (SUN) 06/27 Arena Coliseo [@cmllmagazine]
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II DQ Apocalipsis & Mortiz
2) La Seductora, Mima Shimoda, Princesa SujeiDalys la Caribeña, Lluvia, Luna Mágica
3) Dr. X, Euforia, Nosferatu DQ Diamante, Fuego, Rush
4) Hijo del Fantasma, Toscano, ValienteShigeo Okumura, Vangelis, Yoshihashi
5) Jushin Lyger, Máscara Año 2000, Universo 2000Brazo de Plata, La Máscara, Máximo

No real notes on the top two matches. Tercera ended in DQ when Dr. X went for Diamante’s mask. After the match, Diamante took Dr. X’s mask, and they appear to be feuding. Much better potential than Fabian el Gitano, though I don’t like Dr. X’s chances.

Luna Magica was overconfident at the end of the third fall, and Seductora surprised her for the win. Luna Magica should never ever be over confident.

I’m honestly confused on the opener.

360 Sync E3 preview of Heroes en el Ring.

With fighting taking place both in and out of the ring, wrestlers wielding muscles and furniture at random, and competitive online play not only supported but encouraged, Heroes Del Ring is shaping up to be a formidable entry into the fighting scene. Bringing a whole new flavor to fighting games, this fantastical festival of fisticuffs brings the entertaining and thematically deep world of masked wrestling to life at the hands of players who might think they’ve seen everything the genre has to offer. With a respectable amount of customization sprinkled amongst the compelling fight mechanics and competitive fighting modes,  should turn heads once it hits shelves August 9, 2010.

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 07/01 Arena Naucalpan
1) Epidemia vs Guizmo
2) Héros & Tonatiuh vs Dark Devil & Imposible
3) Comando Negro, Eterno, Hijo del Signo vs Brazo Metalico, Daga, Eragon
4) Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Gringo Loco vs Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro
5) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Veneno

Will Hijo de Pirata, Pirata, Veneno be the ones to stop the Psycho Circus’ streak???? (No.)

CMLL (SUN) 07/04 Arena Coliseo
1) Bengala & Horus vs Camorra & Cholo
2) Pequeño Olímpico, Tzuki, Último Dragoncito vs Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito
3) Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata vs Histeria, Monsther, Oriental
4) Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado, Toscano vs Ephesto, Texano, Vangelis
5) Brazo de Plata, Místico, Shocker vs Averno, Jushin Liger, Mephisto

I’m not sure working terceras against the Angels is the way to set up Oriental for a mask match with Mistico, but what do I know. (What I know is the minis match is going to 52MX. A winner is me!)

I think they’re setting up the required Mistico vs Liger match in main event, but they’ve been feuding Liger more with Porker. I have a desire to see that singles match. A very sick desire, but as long as they’re just going to screw around here, let’s screw around to an epic degree.

IWRG (SUN) 07/04 Arena Naucalpan
1) Eragon & Hijo del Pantera vs Eterno & Hijo del Signo
2) Centauro, Chico Che, Suicida vs ?, Gringo Loco, Kung Fu Jr.
3) Bobby Lee Jr., Scorpio Jr., Veneno vs Hijo de Pierroth (IWRG), Hijo del Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 Jr. [lumberjack strap match]
4) May Flowers vs Diva SalvajeSexy GladysNygmaMiss GaviotaPasion Kristal [cage, hair, mask]

That’s a random main event. Also, sending Nygma, Pasion Kristal and May Flowers is the sort of thing AAA does in Monterrey just before they stop showing up in Monterrey.

DTU (FRI) 07/23 Centro Banamex
1) Eterno, Flamita, Hormiga vs Daga, Masivo, Muerte Bucanera
2) Black Fire vs Iron Love, Drastik Boy, Sadico, Low Rider, Terry 2000, Epitafio
3) Magnifico & Shu el Guerrero vs Cuervo & Skayde and Electroshock & Paranoiko
4) Trauma I & Trauma II vs Crazy Boy & Último Gladiador
5) Chessman & Violento Jack vs Aeroboy & Negro Navarro

Chessman’s the guy who hasn’t worked DTU shows before. That should be a profoundly weird main event. Good to see Crazy Boy and Ultimo Gladiador putting their feud behind them!

NWA MEXICO (FRI) 07/23 Centro Banamex
1) Celestial vs Trauma II
2) Turbo vs Dr. Cerebro [NWA LIGHT]
3) Me Katana & Trauma I vs Cerebro Negro & Skayde
4) Black Terry & Solar I vs Negro Navarro & Rocky Santana and El Hijo de Aníbal & El Hijo del Solitario and Cien Caras & Máscara Año 2000 Jr.
5) Oliver John vs Blue Demon Jr. [PWR HEAVY]

Title is said to be “heavyweight championship”, but it would appear to be the PWR one based on the angle on the last Viva La Lucha PPV. Some of these other matches would presumably end up on the next PPV as well.

The rest of the matches for that show are scheduled to take place on the Perros del Mal show, whose lineup is noticeable absent. (So is AAA’s, but they’ve confirmed it’ll be a TV taping and prefer to hold those back.) I think Los Perros have enough people left to put on a show, but we still have four weeks ago.

CMLL (SAT) 07/24 Centro Banamex
1) Eléctrico & Mascarita Dorada vs Demus 3:16 & Pequeño Warrior
2) Dark Angel, Lluvia, Marcela vs Amapola, La Comandante, Princesa Sujei
3) La Máscara, Máximo, Valiente vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
4) Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero vs Jushin Liger, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi
5) Místico, Shocker, Strong Man vs Héctor Garza, Terrible, Texano

This is basically the lineup Mistico announced at the press conference, with the minis and women’s matches specified. Semimain has been expanded from a tag to a trios.

IWRG (SAT) 07/24 Centro Banamex
1) Orito (Segura) & Panterita vs Black Terry & Dr. Cerebro
2) Bobby Lee Jr., Hijo de Brazo de Plata, Hijo del Pantera vs Fishman Jr., Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Hijo del Signo
3) el Ángel, Pantera, Villano III vs Fuerza Guerrera, Pirata Morgan, Veneno
4) Canek, Scorpio Jr., Tinieblas Jr. vs Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000, Universo 2000

IWRG’s yearly show where everyone wears their old masks.

PANCRACIO (SUN) 07/25 Centro Banamex
1) Calle 13, Esprial Negro, Golden Bull vs Baby Perpez, Rey Den, Zicario
2) Lola Gonzalez vs ? [lightning]
3) Black Shadow Jr., Hijo de Kato Kung Lee, Nuevo Kat Kung Lee, Villano IV vs Coco Amarillo, Coco Azul, Coco Rojo, Coco Verde
4) El Mimo & Loockman vs Ojo Diabolico Jr. & Super Halcon Jr.

El Pancracio’s show. Main event was earlier listed as relevos suicidas with the masks on the line.

One thought to “Dr. X/Diamante, Scorpio, lots of lineups”

  1. What happened in the opener sounds like they fucked up and the refs called for the finish to save face. I’ve seen it before (though RARELY) where one guy is running the ropes and his opponent does a leapfrog but not high enough so the guy ends up right into his balls which is a low blow. The refs clearly see it and have no choice but to call for the DQ or they look like idiots for ignoring it and the wrestler can’t really no-sell it b/c he just got legit hit the nads. Alexis notes the fall went 20 seconds so this seems like what happened.

That finish is actually one of my favorites when done on purpose. I remember during the Humberto Garza Jr./Escudero Rojo feud they did that spot brilliantly and the crowd was fucking PISSED that Rojo was given the win for an accidental low blow.

?Interesting fact?: Hijo De Pirata was part of the losing team in the Psycho Circus’ 2nd win during the streak.
