CMLL in Puebla, GDL, Mexico, Parka/Park, Oriental, Demus

CMLL (MON) 06/07 Arena Puebla [Sportimes, Fuego en el Ring]
1) Akron, Fuerza Chicana, Toro Bill Sr. b King Jaguar, Lestat, Tigre Rojo Jr.
2) Ángel de Plata, Fabián el Gitano, Sensei DQ Dr. X, Hooligan, Nitro
3) Mima Shimoda, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sujei b Dalys la Caribeña, Lady Apache, Luna Mágica
4) Blue Panther, La Máscara, Toscano b Olímpico, Shigeo Okumura, Taichi
5) Gigante Bernard, Máscara Año 2000, Universo 2000 b Brazo de Plata, Shocker, Strong Man

Bernard continues to win in straight falls.

Tecnicos went over all the rudos to win the third fall. Fans got on Taichi for his bald head.

Princesa Sujei caught Lady Apache with a small package for the win. Sujei challenged Lady Apache for a shot at her Pro Wrestling Revolution Women’s Championship, and it’s signed for next week.

Dr. X covered all his bases, fouling Fabian and stripping his mask.

AAA (MON) 06/07 Arena Cuatro Caminos de Nuevo Laredo [El Manana]
4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Black Mamba, Cuervo, Escoria
5) LA Park & Ozz b Heavy Metal & La Parka Jr.

Top 2 matches were two falls. LA Park and La Parka continued to use the same names they’ve been using, with no change due to the TripleMania stipulation. Parka was hurting coming into the match and was destroyed by Park.

CMLL (TUE) 06/08 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Virgo b Meteoro
2) El Divino & Leo b Ángel del Mal & In Memoriam
3) Gallo & Palacio Negro b Ráfaga & Rey Trueno
4) Dragón Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca b Delta, Metal Blanco, Rush
5) Gigante Bernard & Héctor Garza b Brazo de Plata & Shocker

How many falls did Gigante Bernard win in? TWO. To mix this one up, this was Garza sneaking in a foul on Porky. Porky’s gotta be losing his hair before the leafs turn colors. Or the Leafs start playing.

Sangre Azteca yanked Metal Blanco’s mask off and rolled him up for a pin.

Gallo replaced Neutron, feuded with Rey Trueno off Sunday’s shenanigans.

CMLL (TUE) 06/08 Arena Mexico [@cmllmagazine]
1) Rayo Tapatío II & Robin b Cholo & Semental
2) Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sujei, Yeska b Estrella Mágica, Lluvia, Luna Mágica
3) Ángel Azteca Jr., Pegasso, Rey Cometa b Arkangel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Skándalo
4) Pólvora, Terrible, Texano b Blue Panther, Sagrado, Toscano
5) Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto

ReyBuc got Ephesto clean with the Buca Storm, and laid down the title challenge again. Will he get it this week? You’ll find out before the end of this post!

Rudos all landed their finishers to win the semimain match.

Estrella Magica replaced Dalys. Lluvia hurt herself on an attempted tope.

Oriental is excited about returning to CMLL, where he’ll shutting some mouths and humiliate others. Oriental left to AAA ten years ago, but trained in CMLL’s gym and started his major lucha career there. This is not the way Oriental frames it – he’s complimentary towards the Perros, just as others who’ve left – but I like the idea of Mr. Aguila, Olimpico and Mr. Aguila as a embittered rudo trio, educating all these young tecnicos about what their future looks like if they’re not a company favorite.

The same Demus 3:16 interview about changing his name popped up in a bunch of places; the YahooMexico site loads well, so that’s one link; Estrellas del Ring & the Gladiatores has video interviews. The ex-Pequeno Damian 666 says he still believes he owns that name, but doesn’t want to deal with an argument over it so he’s decided to start with a new name. He says he has no problem with Damian 666. Demus says the name comes from an Arabian demon.

Perros del Mal has a photos of their trip to TripleMania. LA Park, saying today he didn’t join Perros del Mal, is pictured wearing a Perros del Mal t-shirt. I can see that, wrestlers just like free shirts, he had no idea it meant anything. Elsewhere, Damian 666 & Halloween tell R de Rudo how much they want to face Joe Lider and Nicho el Millionario. I’m glad someone wants that match, since we’re surely stuck with it.

Silver King replaces Mesias on the AAA spot show in Puebla this weekend. Mesias is still out hurt, and that must be why he’s not on either of next week’s TV shows.

The director for Slang, who are producing the AAA video game, talks about the game and their plans for the Latin America market.

Young Zacatecas luchador Centella passed after a car accident.

Kcidis draws Maximo & Taichi at the barber shop.

LuchaWorld compares invasions.

  1. @CXLSX: They need him to wrestle for a while bald so people can see they enforced their stipulation.

    Enforcing a stipulation, it’s craaaaaaazy.

  2. By the way, I changed what email address I use on these, in case you’re wondering why my monster has changed. No fake thecubsfan.

  3. GiantBernard@twitter

Just got back from guadalajara. Not a great match. Good heat for me but some people need to take their jobs a little more seriously. PRIDE!

  4. @LuchaKid: The problem is, he could be talking about any three of those guys. Or all three of them on the right day.

  5. “Will he get it this week? You’ll find out before the end of this post!”

    Uhhhhh….

And props to Bernard. It’s strange to see a foreigner complaining about awful matches in CMLL. The Japanese come over for vacations while still getting paid and Americans come over to work a style where they don’t have to break a sweat.

  6. Sounds like the other guys worked comedy and Giant Bernard isn’t too familiar with that part of lucha libre. Not to mention all three have a habit of mailing-in matches too.:)

  7. “From a business standpoint, it was described as the best day for Lucha Libre, both when it comes to attendance and storylines, in years.”

Sunday night Bryan and Dave called it a slow weekend. LOL!

  8. Hey, did anyone hear how attendance was for IWRG Sunday? You can usually tell by BTJr’s videos, but since he didn’t go…

  9. @Nikita: Don’t know about IWRG, but the battle of the Parkas seems to be getting good crowds everywhere they go. Tampico and Laredo look packed.

  10. @Nikita: Forget video, there aren’t even any photos from Sunday’s IWRG show. I’d be stunned if they had more than 100 people in attendance.

  11. I’m surprised they ran a show with CIMA and stuff on that night. Seems like that woulda been a good night to have Fishman Jr. in the main event…

    Looks good on paper but…

Mini Fantasy’s rare appearences usually lead to nothing. He always does the exact same moves. I have hope for the match though. Took cmll.com almost a month to change Flash to Fuego so…

Diamante is alive! I like that match.

Another chance for Delta. *fingers crossed*

Guessing Bucanero but who knows with CMLL.

  13. Lo siento por no subir videos =( , pero en compensacion subire videos ineditos que no habia podido subir antes =)

La lucha de Cima vs Cerebro pasaron un resumen en 3° Caida, conseguire la lucha completa pero no se si la pueda subir a internet.

  14. @Black Terry Jr: Translation: Sorry I didn’t upload the videos=(, but to make it up, I’m going to upload unedited footage that I haven’t uploaded before =)

Cima vs Cerebro highlghts aired on 3r Caida, I’m going to get the complete match but don’t know if I’ll be able to upload it on the net.

  15. So where the hell is Antifaz? I was reminded of him at Smackdown, because Dos Caras Jr., comes out to that music.

  16. that comment of Bernard is so hilarious. All the three others have memorable match in the past and just because they wrestled with a little of comedy Bernard come with this ? Funny, from a guy with zero wrestling abilities, zero memorable match in his 10+ years old wrestling carrer and who is unwatchable from what I have seen in NJPW. But I give him credit for the fact that he agree to have good heat in Mexico, because in Japan the crowd is fucking dead for him.

  17. Okay maybe I was going a little overboard. I’ll give you 65%, maybe even 75%. I find Bernard to be super underated, and very underused when he was with the WWE/WWF.

  18. @Alfredo: Agreed. You think he’s like a D- level wrestler and you are clearly underrating him. He’s gotta be at least a ‘D’!
