AAA CANTU (MON) 03/29 Arena Cuatro Caminos de Nuevo Laredo [El Manana]
4) Black Mamba b Pimpinela Escarlata [NORTH LH]
5) Gronda II, Jack Evans, Laredo Kid DQ Alex Koslov, Konnan, Zorro
Rudos pulled Laredo Kid’s mask off for the DQ. Mamba (who retained) and Pimpi talked mask vs hair match.
FULL LUM (SUN) 03/28 Arena Solidaridad [Estrellas del Ring]
1) Angel de Espacio & Super Cometa b Chamaco Ortiz & Zafiro
2) Black Poison, Solovino, Tiger Negro b Cop Machine, Gemelo Muerte, Ricky Estrada
3) Pantro Jr., Pantro Sr., Tigro Jr. b Espanto Jr., Super Vaquero, Vudu
4) Bengali & Potro Jr. b Gato Volador & Tigre Universitario [FILL TAG]
5) Difunto I, Difunto II, Sergio Romo Jr. DQ Diluvio Negro II, Humberto Garza Jr., Silver Star
6) Diluvio Negro I & El Hijo Del Santo b Blue Demon Jr. & Pirata Morgan
Pirata Morgan fouled Diluvio Negro in the main event, clearly the finish everyone paid to see. Demon & Santo were in Satillo earlier, and SuperLuchas has video.
Difunto II got away with a martinete on Garza to win the semifinal; Garza was strechered out.
CMLL (TUE) 03/30 Arena Aficion [Estrellas del Ring]
2) Anubis & Rey Galactico b Coco Rosa & La Chona
3) Arenita & Guerrero Maya Jr. b Fabio & Harlem
4) Exotico, Loco Max, Tiger Kid DQ Bronco, Delta, Diamante [Relevos Increíbles]
Loco Max replaced Puma King, so Puma’s injury from Puebla must be at least partially serious. Tiger Kid tossed his mask to Diamante to draw the DQ.
Team France can’t seem to buy a win.
CMLL (TUE) 03/30 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
2) Acertijo & Dragon b Idolo & Thunder Boy
3) Gallo, Metal Blanco, Palacio Negro b Ebola, Exterminador, Rey Trueno
4) Brazo de Plata, La Máscara, Máximo b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
5) Asesino Negro b Brazo de Oro [hair]
Asesino Negro won falls 2 & 3, getting the clean win via senton. Sounds like Asesino vs the Brazos will continue.
In an interview before the match, Brazo de Oro says he’s returning to CMLL full time. I dunno if I believe that just yet. He does note he was retired, but the people demanded he return to the ring. Maybe HBK can use that one?
CMLL (TUE) 03/30 Arena Mexico [Cesar]
1) Metatrón & Tormenta b Camorra & Oro Negro
2) Astral, Bam Bam, Pequeño Olímpico b Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Violencia
3) Arkangel de la Muerte, Euforia, Nosferatu b Ángel Azteca, Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata
4) Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca b Metro, Stuka Jr., Valiente
5) Atlantis, Felino, Rey Bucanero DQ Máscara Dorada, Shocker, Toscano
Rey Bucanero fouled Toscano, and then challenged him to a hair match. I like his chances better than versus Shocker, but I’m a bit worried that if Rey Bucanero talked to any of you for fifteen minutes right now, it also might end in a hair match challenge.
After Valiente took out Sangre Azteca with the Valiente Especial, Dragon Rojo and Misterioso beat Metro & Stuka clean. This sort of outcome is why Valiente is taking Skayde and Turbo with him to CHIKARA instead of these dorks. Anyway, Poder Mexica demanded a trios title shot, and the tecnicos consented to actually team up for once. The tecnicos also challenged back for a mask match, which is not going to happen.
CMLL Magazine (who live tweeted the show!) says this Tormenta was previously Tormenta II, who had a short run in IWRG in 2007 and wrestled in Arena Neza at times.
I’ve been told the Valiente shows in Texas mentioned here last week – the ones with Perro Aguayo Jr., Charly Manson, and LA Park – have all be canceled. Valiente Entertainment had said they were doing six shows in April, all of one have been canceled, and it’s doubtful that the lucha guys will be working whichever one is left (and any other future ones) unless they get paid cancellation fees for the five that were canceled, and advance deposits on any more shows with the promotion. The PPV taping is also off – Masked Republic is still planning to do a PPV, but they’ve cut ties with Valiente Entertainment.
(AAA, you can book LA Park on that 04/17 taping now! Maybe.)
Bracito de Oro & Pequeno Warrior were at the CMLL offices, making challenges but not yet signing anything for their masks. They built it as though they might officially agree after Friday. Mascarita Dorada is still listed for that match. CMLL still hasn’t said anything about that, but since CMLL never actually said anything about him leaving, it’s about right.
Members of the Aguila del America soccer team visited Arena Mexico, learned moves from Shocker, Maximo, Mascara Dorada, Rush, and Electrico. What a crew that is.
Perros del Mal sent a press release about the Damian 666 name to a bunch of sites, like Estrellas del Ring. It reads as though Damian 666 no longer wants Mini Damian 666 to use the name in the US, since the mini has gotten in trouble there. (When did Mini Damian 666 come to the US, and how did we miss it? And why would officials be looking at the gimmick name?) Anyway, remind me never to give an interview about my pet shop.
SuperLuchas speculates on Atlantis vs Mistico as the anniversary main event. We’ll know a lot more after Sunday.
R de Rudo talks to Heavy Metal, who says he’s been busy promoting AAA concerts, and joined in AAA to partner with them. He never signed an actual contract with CMLL, so he was free to go whenever.
As noted on Ras de Lona, Negro Casas announced he’d be heading to NJPW to celebrate his 30th year in wrestling. No date was mentioned, but that Super J tag team tournament seems the easiest get. However, Cesar does note Negro said it was a tour, and that appears to be a stand alone show. Perhaps Negro will be in the Super J itself?
Cesar also notes the Arena Mexico build anniversary (54th) is April 27th, and wonders what match CMLL might use to headline a special show that day. This year, April 27th is a Tuesday, for what it’s worth.
Fuego en el Ring has a couple interviews with Solar: one talking about the start of his career (including how he got his name) and one challenging Satanico to a match to determine the best student of Diablo Velasco. In that article, Solar mentions a match with Satanico in Arena Coliseo that went 80 minutes.
AAA’s website has photos of Ozz & Chessman with the AJPW wrestlers. If you’ve ever wanted to see Ozz & Viscera in the same picture, today is your lucky day. Also, Sexi Star has traveled to Colombia for a National Geographic feature.
Proconmex (Contreas Promociones) says Rossy Moreno & Oriental, as well as Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. will appear in their upcoming video game. This should be a good one.
The Gladiatores has an interview with Heavy Boy, as well as photos and an interview from a recent aspiring luchador licensing test.
Proyeccion Luchistica has video commentary on a match from the recent AULL show.
Mario Y Maria are selling fabrics for masks; looks like they’ve been doing Mistico’s recent great masks.
CHIKARA has announced another lucha team for their King of Trios: Ice Cream Jr., Hijo de Ice Cream, and Cassandro. I can not believe I am not going to this show.
In Argentina, the man who claims to be the original Mummy Blanco talks about winning the rights from the Karadagains, his plans for his son to take over the gimmick when he was 15, and his music album. You need to click that link and scroll down for the pictures.
LuchaWorld has Alfredo on this week’s IWRG show on TeleFormula (and the disaster that is TeleFormula.)
Lineups
IWRG (SUN) 04/04 Arena Naucalpan
1) Héros vs Comando Negro
2) Gemelo Fantastico I & Gemelo Fantastico II vs Maldito Jr. & Samoth
3) Chico Che, Eragon, Goleador vs Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Oficial AK47
4) Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Hijo del Cien Caras, Masada vs Dr. Cerebro, Pantera, Scorpio Jr.

Changed a bit already. Maybe La Roca has some ab work to do?
Gringo Loco is not on the lineup, because he’s back in Chicago and on the GALLI card this Saturday. I have things to do that day, but I’m going to see if I can make it to Melrose Park for that.
