2010 AAA TV Chart

US: 03/06

The thing about Guerra de Titanes being the big blow off match between Wagner and Mesias is it only works if that’s the last time face each other. If not for the gauntlet on Latin Lover’s arm, you’d be sure they were going to do another Wagner/Mesias match. Maybe it’ll feel a lot different on TV, but in no way does it feel like they’re moving on from that feud.

Speaking of other issues running in place, there’s another Legion vs CiberCirucs atomicos, another Hermandad/Tiger/whoever match and another Fabi/Sexi match. It seems like this week of tapings does not include the taping where everything happens.

Tiger’s last loss to Nicho & Lider was apparently not has last chance. Crazy Boy appears to be taking the slow and steady approach to introducing his new Mexican Powers. Decnnis teaming up with Nicho & Lider on 02/01 and being off the next two cards seems a little bit ominous.

What happened to Rain and Jennifer Blade? Maybe they’ll be back later.

Guys AAA Are Building Around

  • Laredo Kid: not on the card
  • Jack Evans: not on the card
  • Zorro: in the semimain (though as a goon in the Ciber/Konnan war)
  • Marco Corleone: in the main event! hooray! Unless Electro thinks all his flying around means he’s a cruiserweight.

  1. These lineups lead me to believe Billy Boy is done with the company. Maybe not completely but he definitely won’t be back on TV any time soon.

  2. Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net is reporting talks between TNA Wrestling and Asistencia Asesoría y Administración regarding a working agreement have once again picked up. During the latest round of discussions, TNA asked AAA about the possibility of sending Shawn Hernandez to Mexico for an extended stay in order to help him become a bigger superstar within the Hispanic community when he returns to the United States. Nothing has been confirmed yet, although it appears that it could happen at anytime.

  3. @bigkhrisdogg: WON had something similar a few weeks back. I don’t know if it’ll work – they had the story as TNA simply wanted to AAA to film vignettes of Hernandez being mobbed by Mexicans fans as a star, and noted (correctly) people in Mexico probably wouldn’t see him that way. But they pulled it off almost the exact requested bit with Alex Koslov (and never aired it?) so it’s not too much to ask.

It does signal the CMLL/TNA alliance is dead or at least sleeping very very hard, but it’s been that way for 18 months now and not a real big surprise with who’s involved. Unlike NJPW/CMLL, neither side seemed interested in involving their top guys and they don’t mean enough to each other with the top guys involved.

(Someone should explain to ProWrestling.net that calling it Asistencia Asesoría y Administración is nearly the same as calling that popular TV channel Entertainment and Sports Programming Network.)

  4. @Rob: Funny you mention Billy Boy. I was handed a flyer for a random show in Arena San Juan on Feb 12th with Faby/Aero vs Sexi/Billy, so it looks like he is trapped in house shows where they are running matches that made sense at some point. Including the main event of Ciber/Chessman vs Mesias/Electro. And, if you are one of the first 100 people to buy tickets you can get a free picture with El Nino de Ebano!

  5. @Alan: I’m surprised such big stars like Ciber and Mesias are working Arena San Juan Pantitlan. That venue is convenient by metro. Have you been there yet?

  6. @bigkhrisdogg: “bigger superstar”? In other words, Hernandez does not speak Spanish, and they feel he needs to learn.

CMLL is very isolationist. I’m shocked that Mistico and crew made it to El Paso. Once we confirm that Shocker and Strongman made it to SF for PWR, it would mean that CMLL is batting 1000.

  7. @LLL: Haven’t made it there yet. I am hoping to get to Naucalpan and Lopez Mateo at some point before we leave.
