XLAW, Koslov, lineups

X-LAW (TUE) 09/08 Coliseo Tulancingo [X-LAW
1) Rocky Lobo b Angel Suicida, Drastik Boy, Lancelot, Black Fire, Masterson Boy, Slayer, Concord, Dinastia, Korey
2) Impostor b Alfil
3) Epidemia & Heavy Boy b Konami & Rex
4) Angel o Demonio, LEon ROjo, Ovett b Payaso Carrona, Payaso Miedo, Payaso Terror
5) Kai & Ragde b Bushi & Pesadilla
6) Jiro Hachmitsu, Masada, Oriental b Fantasma de la Opera, Genesis, Suicida
7) Super Crazy b Damián 666, Nosawa [XLAW JH]

Oriental and Suicida were added to the show.

Alex Koslov is still in AAA. If you didn’t believe me before, and if you didn’t read Meltzer mocking the angle in yesterday’s Observer, here’s two articles that might get you to believe:

– Alex Koslov told Record he’s planning to sue AAA to get his job back, claiming unfair dismissal. Which doesn’t quite flow from neither the angle where he was fired for losing a match he agreed to, either from the fake-shoot-angle where he was leaving AAA for opportunities elsewhere.

– Luchas2000 included an interview with CMLL’s booking crew, who said they had not heard from Alex and would definetly not be bringing Alex back.

This is just a vacation, during a slow period in spot shows. (Slow enough that people are complaining to the Observer about it; not enough work is the reason cited for Oriental leaving.)

Shocker explains the new Guapos will be himself and Jon Strongman, because they don’t need anyone else. In fact, they’ll be so great together, they could battle trios, or atomicos, or five men teams, or street musicians, or soccer teams that want to tkae on the Guapos. It’s good to believe in yourself.

Speaking of shows, CMLL has an odd looking schedule next week, moving shows on to accommodate Independence Day on Wednesday

CMLL (MON) 09/14 Arena Puebla

CMLL (WED) 09/16 Arena Coliseo

This replaces the usual Arena Mexico show. Sunday is also an Arena Coliseo show, with the idea that Arena Mexico will be shut down for the week leading up the anniversary show. IWRG will be moving it’s Thursday’s show to Wednesday as well.

La Raza has a preview of Lucha Va Voom in Chicago, including what looks like an actual lineup of matches. No way that can be right.

The Gladiatores has interviews with Nosawa and Oriental.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news updates.

09/09-10 Lucha Times

box

AAA-US: Mesias/Wagner in a bull terrier match, Billy & Sexi vs Fabi & Aero in a street fight, and the Elegido/Gronda vs Joe Lider/Nicho rematch.

52MX: probably the Flash/Metaro/Rogue vs Euforia/Tigre/Virus match and the Atlatnis/Warrior/Lizmark vs Dorada/Mictlan/Sagrado semimain.

CMLL: top 3, which means the Lyger debut teaming with No Limit vs Atlantis/Guerrero/Warrior

AAA-MEX: part 2 of VdE, which should have HX vs Elegido/Gronda II, Charly/Chessman, and the titlte match.

FOX: Minis, maybe, and the No Limit/V5 vs Garza/La Mascara/Toscano. It is awfully concidental timing that Mendoza goes down with an injury just when his use to the promotion has ended for the time being (they don’t need him to team with No Limit with Lyger around. They didn’t need him when Lyger wasn’t around either, but that’s what they were doing.)

C3: Mephisto vs Garza and more.

Puebla: figure the tercera gets dropped, and maybe we figure out what’s the deal with the new names in the opener.

Monterrey: Ninja/Orientals vs Hombre sin Miedo, Black Diamond, Caifan

09/26 AAA TV Lineup (Monterrey) – Antonio Pena Memorial show

Don’t trust people with 1 post and hot info. Let’s try this again!

2009 AAA TV Chart
Projected Air Date (#907, #908)
Mexico: 10/09, 10/16
US: 10/24, 10/31

Zorro takes Elegido’s place in the copa Pena, with Elegido being sucked into the hardcore cage match disaster area.  No one knows why Decnnis is teaming with the tecnicos. Whatever happened the Guapito’s promotion, anyway? They haven’t done anything with that angle in months. Also, it just occured to me that they’re going to set up a cage and take down a cage during this show, where every match is getting a lot time. Remind me not to live blog this.

Sexy/Fabi has been made a bull terrier match, which they just did on TV, with the same exact seconds (Billy & Aero), so…that match did have it’s moments, but not enough that I needed to see it again.

Poder del Norte vs Fuerza Aerea will be better than the Psycho Clowns, so I think this is all a net impovment.

Puebla, Mexico, Guadalajara, Lyger

CMLL (MON) 09/07 Arena Puebla [SuperLuchas]
5) Yujiro b Shocker [copa Puebla]

Yujiro snuck in a foul and won himself a big trophy.

CMLL (TUE) 09/08 Arena Mexico [ESTO, CMLL]
1) Sensei & Trueno b Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Ángel Azteca Jr., Angel de Oro, Angel de Plata b Arkangel de la Muerte, Nitro, Skándalo
3) Mascara Dorada, Sagrado, Stuka Jr. b Pólvora, Vangelis, Virus
4) La Sombra, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
5) Mephisto b Héctor Garza

Main was said to be cold and boring. Mephisto snuck in a foul. Tecs lost the first fall of the semimain, but took the last two.

CMLL (TUE) 09/08 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Metatrón & Nube Roja b Skaxy & Titanio
2) El Divino & Hierro b Infierno & Rey Trueno
3) Dr. X & Loco Max b Pegasso & Rey Cometa
4) Máscara Mágica, Mr. Niebla, Felino b Blue Panther, Máximo, Mictlán
5) Shocker b Terrible

Terrible took the first, but Shocker won the second and third. Mascara Magica cheated to beat Mictlan again, and they’ll have a hair match next week. Felino replaced Negro Casas, which I hope is just randomness.

Lyger is in Mexico; a day early, since the pictures all say the 7th. Nice shirt! Lyger’s promo sure sounds like he’s going to be a rudo.

AAA adds Alan Stone to the Pena match at the Pena show, but otherwise the lineup posted a couple days ago has been dead on. They announced the Charly/Chessman hair match yesterday.

IWRG Copa High Power, AULL with AJPW, Oriental, Koslov

IWRG (SUN) 09/06 Arena Naucalpan [Estrella del Ring, Black Terry Jr. photos, Al Filo del Ring]

5) Bobby Lee Jr. b Masada, Nosawa, Fuerza Guerrera, Kai, Veneno, Suicida, Juventud Guerrera, Gringo Loco, Pendulo [copa higher power]

Bobby Lee Jr. wins this tournament? Not that they really had regulars here besids Suicida and Pendulo.

AULL (SUN) 09/06 Arena Lopez Mateos [EdR]
1) Gallito de Oro & Principe Torbellino DRAW Hormiga Atomica & Rey Cristal
2) Super Halcon Jr., Super Panda, Tortuguillo Ninja DQ Conde Bartock, Epidemia, Psicopata
3) Robin Maravilla, Sadico, Yakuza DQ Cerebro Maligno, Epitafio, Herejia and Angel o Demonio, Leon Rojo, Ovett [AULL TRIOS]
4) Masada b Rocky Santana, Sepulturero I, Terry 2000, Último Vampiro, Jiro Hachimitsu, Kai, Nosawa [XLAW INTERNATIONAL]

Masada got Rocky Santana with a foul and covered him to win the vacant title in the main event. Porros (Angel O Demonio’s team) got eliminated form the three way for a DQ, so they kept interfering until they get the other challengers DQ too.

Ras de Lona promoted the upcoming return of Brazo de Plata and hyped up the anniversary show. The segments with Mini Violencia’s kids and India & Maximo’s newborn were cute, but I was totally lost on the news bit with Medusa, Black Warrior and Black Warrior’s wife.

Tonight’s Arena Mexico card is built around Mephisto vs Hector Garza.

DJ Spectro posted the Oriental is leaving AAA article from Box Y Lucha.

Chuck Palumbo worked the AAA show in Tijuana this past Friday. Seems to only work the Tijuana shows.

Box Y Lucha #2938 has Mistico vs Negro, plus Alex trying the “if CMLL brought back Mr. Niebla, why wouldn’t they bring back me?” Of course, Niebla didn’t leave CMLL, CMLL dropped him admits much talk of personal issues.

09/06 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara results

CMLL (SUN) 09/06 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
0) Nocturno b Johnny Dinamo
1) Fraile de la Muerte & Titanio b Astaroth & Virgo
2) Angelo & Metatron b Acertijo & Rafaga
3) Gallo, Hierro, Metal Blanco b Angel del Mal, Asesino Negro, Leon Blanco
4) La Sombra, Shocker, Valiente b Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
5) Averno b Blue Panther [NWA MIDDLE]

Panther took the first, Averno took the second. Panther grabbed Averno in the fujiwara in the third, Averno gave up, and the referee signaled the win…then noticed Averno’s foot had been outside the ring, so the hold should’ve been broken. Panther was too busy celebrating to realize what had happened, and Averno pulled him in the same armbar for the submission. Fuego interviewed all three people involved in the decision, though you can probably work out what they said. Referee says it’s Panther’s own fault for premature celebration.

Valiente replaced Volador.
