HdI notes, Perros have TV but where? (no, really, where?), lineups

As noted in the twitter feed, I’m having some major hard disk issues. The only lucky part is so much of what I do is in The Cloud (this website, the wiki, my mail), I haven’t lost that. (Yet) Still, I’m stuck on a bad laptop for a moment, so there may be some limitations to what gets done. Please bear with me, and keep an eye on the Twitter feed for updates. And thanks for the suggestion, Kyle, I’m going to try that.

I’ll save most of the links for tomorrow morning, but I’d be remiss not to point you to the Heroes de Inmortales recap over at Estrellas del Ring. Some choice notes not found in the AAA recap

  • attendance is said to be around 11,000
  • Vampiro was on the show. He was one of the guys who showed up to challenge Chessman, and was in charge of presenting the plaque to Cibernetico for winning the torneo Antonio Pena. That’s an obvious feud set up – but if Vamp & Cibernetico fight, that would seem to clinch another Mesias/Wagner match. (Can’t fight anyone else, of course.)
  • Konnan’s female wrestlers were slightly different here than last – no Rain, no Nikki Roxx. Looks like it was Girl Dinamite again, this time with Lorelei Lee (and not the adult film star of the same name; that has to be annoying.) They distracted Fabi to set up Sexi’s win in their match, so it wasn’t clean as previously thought.

I also keep forgetting that local advertising in GDL (right?) for Guerra de Titanes has been billing a Fabi vs Sexi hair vs mask match. Which they’re still on target for doing.

  • Ring was six sides. AAA recap made it sound like it was 4 last night, and they’d actually be doing four enough that I thought they might be going back to it as standard. But no, it was six sides.

SuperLuchas 333 has Gran Alternativa coverage on the cover and (yes!) Sarita & Taylor Wilde with the TNA tag belts. To me, the big story was the interview with Perro Aguayo Jr., who explain they’ll be on TV on October 18. Where? Perro: “It’s a surprise.” That’s a different approach to promoting.

Lineups!

CMLL (TUE) 09/29 Arena Mexico
1) Freesebee & Súper Camaleón vs Camorra & Cholo
2) Diamante, Fabián el Gitano, Tony Rivera vs Bronco, Dr. X, Escorpion
3) Lady Apache, Lluvia, Marcela vs Amapola, La Nazi, Princesa Blanca
4) Máscara Dorada, Sagrado, Stuka Jr. vs Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
5) Héctor Garza, Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara vs Atlantis, Heavy Metal, Ray Mendoza Jr.

Freesbee? Diamante and Escorpion escape the opener pretty quick.

Knowing CMLL, there’s at least a 10 percent change that main event rudo trio wins the trios titles in a few weeks. Which would be 100% awful.

IWRG (THU) 10/01 Arena Naucalpan
1) Fly Star vs Halcon 2000
2) Eragon & Jack vs Carta Brava Jr. & Hijo del Signo
3) Bushi, Exodia, Hombre Bala Jr. vs Gringo Loco, Memphis, Xibalba
4) Avisman vs Freelance [IWRG IC Light]
5) Barba Roja, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan vs Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro

Hombre Bala Jr.! All those fans coming for the excitement of the Arlequin/Rigo/Chico Che feud are going to be really sad not to see them here. Also, funny that Pirata Morgan Jr. – by all accounts, the actual son – is not in the trio at the moment.

CMLL (FRI) 10/02 Arena Mexico
1) Leono & Tigre Blanco vs Apocalipsis & Ramstein
2) Bam Bam, Eléctrico, Mascarita Dorada vs Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
3) Metro vs Euforia [lightning]
4) La Sombra, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Mephisto, Terrible, Texano Jr.
5) Ángel de Oro, Héctor Garza, Shocker vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
6) Black Warrior, Místico, Último Guerrero vs Naito, Shigeo Okumura, Yujiro

Yea, they could’ve done that without him winning the Gran Alternativa. Angel de Oro gets a makeup semifinal.  And Shocker’s scheduled! We’ll see if that lasts all the way to Friday.

The opener is quite the “whatever happened to” match.

CMLL (SUN) 10/04 Arena Coliseo
1) Delta & Trueno vs Semental & Zayco
2) Astro Boy, Metálico, Starman vs Calígula, Méssala, René Guajardo Jr.
3) Guerrero Maya Jr., Pegasso, Rey Cometa vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Vangelis, Virus
4) Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca vs Blue Panther, Mictlán, Valiente
5) Místico, Toscano, Volador Jr. vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto

They should reinvent Semental as a fiercely patriotic, bordering on xenophonic hero. Rene Guajardo is unbroken, nice to see.

Note that whoever’s booking this week apparently agrees with Sangre Azteca about Misterioso being part of Poder Mexica. Which leaves the national trios titles kinda in limbo, but what else is new.

CMLL (SUN) 10/04 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Metatrón & Nube Roja vs Güero Loco & Titanio
2) Palacio Negro vs AcertijoVirgoAngel del MalSaturno,RelampagoEl DivinoIn MemoriaMeteoroThunder Boy[OCCIDENTE WELTER, cibernetico]
3) Fabián el Gitano & Metro vs Hooligan & Loco Max
4) Héctor Garza, Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara vs Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

That’s a match for the vacant championship. Former champion is Metalik, who has vanished from the landscape of lucha libre. In an unrelated note, they should’ve put Mascara Dorada in the semifinal somehow.

IWRG (SUN) 10/04 Arena Naucalpan
1) Dinamic Black vs Rey Tempestad
2) Eragon & Imperial vs Maldito Jr. & Samoa
3) Gemelo Fantastico I, Gemelo Fantastico II, Star Boy vs El Hijo del Diablo, Fantasma de la Ópera, Gringo Loco
4) Bushi, Pendulo, Suicida vs Dement, Tóxico, Veneno
5) Chico Che, Exodia, Rigo vs Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro

Chico Che’s going for the gold!

  1. Lorelei Lee is who I figured Meltzer was talking about in the WON and then he said she was a valet on the east coast.
