2009 AAA TV Chart
Projected Air Date (#905)
Mexico: 09/20
US: 10/03 (maybe)
Check those dates. Unless they skip a show or compact Verano de Escandalo to one week, this was actually the TV go home show for the 09/18 Antonio Pena memorial. They taped six weeks of TV in August and had a skip week, so AAA’s quite a bit backlogged. (If both VdE and the Pena show air over 2 weeks, then AAA’s got their TV booked until November.) Good thing they announced the main event for the Pena show.
Opener was not listed, but I think it was just to have the Bizarros work since they were there to run in later. There’s an opening match wrestler named Tribal in Monterrey, no idea if that’s him. Tecnicos won, only for Cibernetico kill them all by himself.
Mari Apache and Mascarita Divina replaced Estrellita and Mascarita Sagrada in the atomicos. No explanation hwy. Elegido pinned ozz.
In between the second and the third, they did an in-ring skit where Joaquin Roldan talked about Verano, Alex came out to make fun of Mexican soccer and Roldan’s mustache, and Roldan made the stips in the cage match. Earlier in the day, AAA posted an interview where Alex said there was no way he was losing. I guess this was cheaper than this was a blinking sign reading “Alex is going to lose”.
Billy tried wearing a wig in his match but it was pulled off. Rudos still won, then Sexi Star posed with the Reina de Reinas title and demanded a title match.
Mesias/Cibernetico went to a double countout with the Bizarros running in. Thought maybe this was the end of the Bizarros, but the AAA recap hints towards Mesias getting his own group to counter the other groups going on.
Wagner’s team won clean. Electro beat Cuervo, so Cuervo’s officially a cruiserweight. Roldan showed up to make the Mesias/Wagner match for the Pena show, and Mesias showed up to do his catchphrase. Why does Mesias get another shot after losing at Verano and not beating Cibernetico here?
Order of escape was Xtreme Tiger, Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, Sugi. Sugi did a move off the top of the cage and looked hurt. Rocky escaped, leaving Alex. Roldan asked the crowd if they wanted to see Alex gone, and then did the Vince McMahon “you’re fired” bit. Alex is currently Cruiserweight champion and there was no mention of what this means for that title.
Not only is it weird for the champ to be in a match for the title, but there’s the theoretical possibility of the champion losing the match and being out of the company. It’s not going to happen, but it’s still weird.
Forgive me for thinking well of AAA. I’ll try not to do it again.

And the Bizarros finally get some work
Is it possible that Alex Koslov is actually gone from Asistencia Asesoría y Administración?!
Koslov said on Twitter that he is through with his commitments for AAA and is looking for work elsewhere so take that for what it’s worth.
ATTENTION ALL WRESTLING PROMOTERS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN BOOKING ALEX KOSLOV:
Create a fake title to be won in a fake match and he will pay his own transportation.
@KrisZ: OK, the important question now is…Alex Koslov has a twitter?
http://twitter.com/alexkoslov !
Looks like Marco has one he hasn’t uesed either.
I realize we are making the assumption that AAA would not give someone a title when they know the next show is the last show they’re working and they won’t be losing the title on that show. Recent events make me not too confident in making such assumptions about AAA.
AAA’s announced a five way for the Pena show, everyone but Alex.
I’d leave AAA too if I were Alex and could see the writing on the wall: Being booked against the same five guys non-stop for the rest of the year b/c the booker is too dumb to come up with anything else.
But he really has nowhere else to go unless he begs CMLL for his job back and they take him back to torture us with Koslov, Rouge, Mictlan matches. I kinda hope that does happen though so we can get Alex’s speech about how his career is heading in a new exciting direction.
@Rob: LOL! I thought I was the only one who immediately thought that Koslov would find a home in the Rouge, Mictlan, Toscano cast in CMLL.
Wasn’t Koslov suppose to join Konnan’s new faction or did he and I totally missed this news?
I think Koslov might get a gig in Japan if he leaves Mexico probably with Dragon Gate.
@Rob:
You are a student of the Monterrey school of promotions.
TNA is very interested in Alex Koslov for the X Division, and a month or so ago Alex Koslov talked about wanting to return to TNA full time on his MySpace account.
I’d love to see Koslov in TNA, but more than likely, he either will join the new Legion or, here’s a thought, go back to CMLL.
*LMAO* @ Koslov’s twitter
Why is he so obsessed with fake championships?
So, I like Koslov more than pretty much anyone else here, but I don’t know what I’m hoping for. I’ve enjoyed the rudo turn, but I hate the idea of the “loser leaves town” being wasted as a concept by having him just join the Legion. I liked the stuff he did for TNA last year, but won’t get to see much of what he does if he goes there full time. CMLL seems unlikely and he would get stuck in an awful group which would be a demotion from when he was there last. Anything else would be a waste in my mind.
Koslov posted on Twitter during the night that he has traded emails with Paco Alonso and things are looking good in his eyes.
@KrisZ: Was he staring at a store-bought NWA replica title while writing that?
I think that he was pondering going to work at Arena Solidaridad to defend the newly created UWC Cruiserweight Title against Tigre Universitario.
I turned it on in time to catch the last two matches and I don’t know if I missed something, but why the hell did Electroshock bring a dog to the ring wih him?
@Daniel: A great question! One they didn’t explain. But the dog has a Wagner shirt on him, so I guess they figured good enough.
