Monster pinned Kenzo Suzuki with a big senton.

After many many moves, Koslov fouled Tiger and pinned him. Teddy helped out, distracting the referee.

Hardcore match saw people bleed and the tag champs win. As had been rumored, the original Gronda (Groon XXX) returned to AAA here, helping beat up the tecnicos post match and setting up a Gronda/Gronda match.

Ultimo Gladiador was introduced as a surprise addition to the Wagner team. He also wore a mask. Unclear why they didn’t just give him a new gimmick. Silver King yanked Parka’s mask and got the pin. Tecnicos – including Octagoncito – danced post match.

They saved the ligthbulb tubes for Charly/Chessman. No big Chessman fall. It sounds like Chessman got partially knocked out on a ‘rana, Charly put him him in La Poza, and Charly grabbed Chessman’s hand and forced him to tap out.

Sexi escapes, than Aerostar. Fabi and Billy battle on the cage, and Billy is a loser once again.

In between cage matches, Tirantes turned up again to confront Joaquin Roldan – vowing that if AAA was going to make him disappear, then AAA needed to disappear. Tirantes brought out a friend – Konnan, who brought out his new group of Teddy Hart, Nicole, Rain, and Roxxi. Fabi confronted the women, and was jumped by the returning Esther Moreno. Unlikely to be a coincidence that she’s back the same night as Groon. Sexi Star wasn’t sure which way to side.

Main event was changed into an quasi-elimination match. First elimination is pinfall/submission, and Cibernetico was beat after going thru a table and being pinned by Mesias. It turned into a first person out of the cage wins bit after that. Silver King and Electroshock prevent Mesias from leaving, Wagner gets him with the Wagner Driver, and escapes.

  2. Is there any sort of radio coverage of this at least? I’m interested in seeing the mask/hair cage match which should be starting shortly.

    Sadly, there’s no one around to joke around about this being an ROH show, since it’s 12:30 AM CST and there are still two matches to go.

  5. No radio coverage, sadly. No pics of the clowns yet either. I think we’re going to have to wait until it airs to really know what went on here.

  12. Wagner retains! Excellent now if we can just scoot Ciber & Mesias into their own little dark corner and get someone with talent to challenge for the title I’d be happy

    Oh and La Parka Vs Silver King needs to happen SOON!

  14. What was the last really big 1-on-1 stip match AAA had?
    While all the Apache related stips were there, they were midcard type stuff b/c of how AAA booked it. Same with Calo.
    Elektro vs. Chessman wasn’t even on tv.
    Last one I can think of is ParkAAA vs. Muerte Cibernetico…

  15. I remember a guy on lomejordelalucha who always went to shows in Cd. Madero, Tampico, and a few other towns. He always took pictures of the matches and hot girls and posted them. I wonder if he’s still around? He’d be the type of guy to have good pics from VdE.

  16. @LLL: They drew very well. It was a rodeo arena, and the place was roughly 2/3’s full, and the crowd was into it, more and more as the night went on, and definitely for the main event (where I finally was able to mark off my list of “wrestlers to see live” with L.A. Park).

  18. I still cling to the faint hope that AAA may come through on the Parka/Silver King Apuestas match, but I am not holding my breath

    Shit how about Homicide Clown and Domestic Battery Clown, they might as well bring back Carona, Miedo and Terror

  24. I just gotta say it was pathetic how they did the angle with Konnan and the sluts. They all came out immediatly after the semi-main cage match so even though Billy just lost his hair and everyone was cheering Fabi (since that feud is 100x more over than anything Konnan has done since his ’04 return) – Konnan made sure his group latched onto some of the heat and they did promos while the head shaving was going on. Then of course they all attacked Fabi in the cage and Esther Moreno made the save which wasn’t surprising since she was on camera in the front row all match long. During the beatdown and even after it – one of the sluts couldn’t stop grabbing her boobs so it was like a softcore porn scene which is fantastic for the kids watching AAA. The big closing shot for the TV show were the three chicks and Konnan. Way to build a promotion!
