2009 AAA TV Chart
Projected Air Date #900
Mexico: 08/09
US: 08/29

Not a lot in the way of angles, which makes sense for this sort of show.

After the second match, Ciberentico & Dr. Wagner ended up in the ring and agreeing to a singles match where Cibernetico got in the Verano de Escandalo main event. Cibernetico won with a chokeslam thru a table. That Mesias/Ciber/Wagner three way is not really much more intersting to me than Infierno en el Ring, but it’s sure going to mean 10x more to the average fan.

Koslov interfered in the third match to attack Romero, Sugi picking up the pin. Xtreme Tiger was hurt at the end of his match.

Coliseo, GDL, Lucha Libre Expo (Day 3)

CMLL (SUN) 07/26 Arena Coliseo [Ovaciones]
1) Camorra & Semental b Rayo Tapatio I & Rayo Tapatio II
2) Metalico, Tigre Blanco, Tony Rivera b Polvora, Durango Kid, Inquisidor
3) La Nazi, La Seductora, Princesa Blanca b Dark Angel, Estrella Magica, Lluvia
4) Angel Azteca Jr., Sagrado, Valiente b Black Warrior, Dragon Rojo Jr., Sangre Azteca
5) La Sombra, Mistico, Toscano b Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Lots of subs on the show: Felino for Mr. Niebla, Angel Azteca Jr. for Maximo, the entire ruda trio, and Durango Kid (!?) for Dr. X. Mistico got Negro with a casita, and challenged him to an apuest amatch for the anniversary main event. A Sunday Arena Coliseo show is perfect time to do that challenge. After the semimain, Valiente challenged Sangre Azteca for a welterweight title match, and this really is the perfect time to do that challenge.

CMLL (SUN) 07/26 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [MT, Fuego en El Ring]
1) Maldad b In Memoria
2) Hierro & Thunder Boy b Milenio & Relampago
3) Rafaga & Rey Trueno b Guerrero Samurai II & Virgo
4) Mascara Dorada, Metro, Mictlan b Euforia, Nosferatu, Virus
5) Naito, Shigeo Okumura, Yujiro b Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Shocker
6) Ray Mendoza Jr. DQ Ultimo Guerrero

V5 won the first, UG took the second, V5 fouled UG and faked a foul to get the DQ win. Nosferatu was strechered out in the second fall of his match after “an unsafe Olympic bridging suplex” by Mictlan. Rudos lost 2 on 3, but took out Mictlan’s right knee in revenge.

Alan has Dinastia taking Masivo’s mask. PL has it being Black Master. Maybe DTU will update their site and let us know?

I’ll break the AAA results off into a separate post in a bit.

Pictures: Alan, Al Filo del Ring, Mr. Reyes. Frank Misterio has a whole bunch of pictures: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Reviews: Al Filo del Ring

Shows: Al Filo Del Ring on CMLL, Wagner, Mil Mascaras, MT on all the Sunday shows.

Comments on the show: SuperLuchas mentions some of the smaller issues. The biggest one from a lot of people is the inconsistency in pricing for photos and autographs. Some people would be take a picture with you for free, others would charge even for cell phones, and there didn’t seem to be any reason or clarity for the differences.

Alex Koslov talks about CMLL, AAA, TNA and ROH on his blogs. He notes it’d help AAA if they had people who knew wrestling shooting the shows.

Box Y Lucha has #2932 Mesias vs Dr. Wagner. Inside, it looks like there was an interview where Perro Jr. says he’s not talking to Cibernetico since he no-showed the GDL show. Which is odd, since they worked against each other on the main event of those 07/12 Perros shows in Nuevo Laredo, but whatever. There’s also the new TV episode.
