Very tecnico day.

Opener is locals, not for TV.

As the (entertaining) el martinete recap points out, this show was cursed. Billy Boy took a hard powerbomb and a harder brainbuster from Mari. I bet he wishes he didn’t work this show! Also possible this may be the last we see of him for a while.

Decnnis was the loser and casualty in the tercera. Tiger gave him a super Diamond Cutter and Decnnis  hurt his ribs, but continued and was pinned after a guillotine legdrop. This match was promoted as hardcore but did not turn out that way.

Teddy/Jack is described as a MOTYC marred by rudo referee shenanigans from Hijo de Tirantes. He was the difference maker, helping Teddy reverse a ‘rana for the win. Joaquin Roldan didn’t over turn the finish, but did manage to suspend Hijo de Tirantes indefintely (like Konnan.) Tirantes Sr. turned up to vow revenge for his family. We seem to be in a period of all the rudos taking their medicine for their evil acts when the Legion took over, which is a nice change of pace for the fans (and probably means even more evil is just around the corner.)

Semimain sounds like a tecnico romp. Latin got Chessman with a Code Red as Marco chokeslamed Oriental.

Wagner appeared to be close to beating Mesias in the rematch when Cibernetico returned. Cibernetico laid out Wagner (though it’s not clear if that was a DQ or the match just ended) and hugged Mesias, so I guess he’s a tecnico and Wagner is an evil outsider? I don’t see that working so well. Cibernetico also declared himself the next challenger for Wagner, and I’m not sure why Mesias would be happy with that.

Cibernetico told the press after that he’s not abandoning the Bizarros, just bringing them in to AAA. That Cibernetico came out alone, and not with the Bizzaros, probably means AAA doesn’t actually have any plans for them – AAA makes no note of them in it’s recap. How much we actually see of the Bizarros in AAA is a good baromoter to what power Cibernetico has behind the scenes at the moment. I’m guessing the answer to both is “little to none.”

Both Wagner & Cibernetico were supposed to be on the Perros card in Guadalajara while this was going on, and that show was pretty much a disaster without them. It would not be surprising if that was the end of them.

Crowd here is mentioned as 70% full.

  1. So Cibernetico hates Wagner, but not Mesias. Am I the only one who sees this as the possible reunion of La Secta Cibernetica .

  2. @Calabcd44: I see it too. That’d be cool, if it means Mesias can eventually turn heel again. Im not a fan of him as a face.

  3. CMLL chose to ran an ArMex like card in Veracruz to run against the AAA TV taping, and left PdM alone for once… and it didn’t work that much for Record… Still, kinda weird results for CMLL “megashow” has not popped up.

  4. Whoops, it was Decniz the one who subbed Billy Boy, I thought it had been Atomic Boy in the opener.

BTW, it seems Aerostar also got injured after missing/not being catched his back drop from the top, was said to walk out on his feet, but who knows how bad it was.

  5. i think cibernetico is secretly getting jealous of the new found fame that mesias is getting. Cibernetico coming back AFTER Mesias lose the belt, sounds fishy too me. Watch you back Mesias.

  6. @Calabcd44: Or at least hint that they might remember that they had run the angle during one of the next two weeks shows. But, I mean its not like it was an angle that helped to determine the outcome of a match they was supposed to define the future of the company or anything.

  7. @Alan: Just when I thought AAA forgot about the angle, they post this on their website. ” ? QUE PASARA CON EL ZORRO AHORA QUE SE VOlVIO A ENMASCARAR?” So hopefully they remembered to continue the angle.

  8. I don’t think it makes any sense to turn Zorro tecnico, NONE AT ALL. There are too many “pretty boys” in AAA, there’s Latin, Corleone, Elegido, Koslov, Evans… Vampiro, even Mesias and Cibernetico would be counted there… I doubt Zorro would be considered in the top 5… and then there’s Parka-ris, Wagner, even Charly Manson to consider in the main event scene while in the rudos there is… well… Silver King and Electro… and Zorro, of course.

Weird how AAA has too many tecnicos while CMLL has too many rudo factions.

  9. Here is your 6/30 lineup

6/30 – Auditorio Benito Juarez de Cuautitlan (TV taping)
    1. Gato Eveready & Octagoncito vs. Mini Abismo Negro & Yuriko
    2. Alex Koslov & Rocky Romero vs. Cuervo & Escoria
    3. Elegido & Fabi Apache vs. Decnis & Sexy Star
    4. Jack Evans/Extreme Tiger/La Parka Jr. vs. Electroshock/Teddy Hart/Luchador Sorpresa
    5. El Mesias & Luchador Sorpresa (Cibernetico) vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. & Silver King

  10. Any reason why Wagner & King are teaming up. I thought they were on opposite sides.

  11. Probably Mil Wagner himself. He always does what he wants regardless of storyline.

Told you that 6/30 lineup would be odd. Gato in a TAG OPENER?!?!?!?!?! I’m severely disapointed there isn’t an opening match of randomness but maybe they’re saving that for Queretaro.

  12. I’m no Wagner fan, but I can deal with him as a Rudo, even though he will inevitably play to the crowd and get cheered. If this is the plan, then stacking the tecnico side would make sense since they will need a years worth of opponents for him.

  13. @xuisaw: It makes a lot of sense to turn Zorro technico for the simle reason that HE’S A LOT BETTER AS A TECHNICO!!

The fact that women love him does not make him “just another pretty boy.”

  14. @xuisaw: One other thing: How the hell can you categorize Cibernetico, Mesias, and VAMPIRO (of all people), as “pretty boys.”? These guys are actually quite the opposite of a pretty boy.

  15. @Rob: .oO (should I be more creeped out by Daniel or the guy who replies to every Maximo video I post on youtube and goes by the name “chubbylover”?)

  16. @Rob:

LOL, I’m actually in a good mood now as I pointed how Niebla is biting butts @ ArMex shows, in a “AAA son payasadas, CMLL es de verdad” thread and guys are saying “he learned that in AAA”…

    LOL

  17. @xuisaw: *LMAO* I gotta find that thread and post the pictures I have of Maximo kissing Lizmark Jr. and the CMLL guys dancing. Every time I post that and tag it with “la seria y estable” it seems to anger the loyal CMLL fans.

  18. Gutsy move to take any move from your wife’s sister after you just got in trouble with the law.

But to be honest Billy took the bump perfectly. We don’t need to start any wild and crazy rumors that Mari was sent to hurt him.

  19. Jack vs Teddy was AWESOME! Even with the referee BS the two tore it down. I can’t wait till they can finally have a clean singles match with each other (hair vs hair at Verano?).

  20. @Rob: Was it me or the Tirantes angle had more heat than Ciber´s return?

    *L*

Have they dropped the Superfly vs Laredo Kid angle?

  21. The Tirantes angle had HUGE HEAT. Surprised me. I didn’t see the Ciber return so I can’t compare. I’d feel bad for Ciber if his popularity went down though b/c without popularity and after being proven he can’t draw on the indy scene, all that is left is for him to work tiny house shows with Gronda II.

I’m afraid for Super Fly b/c the more tapings go by without him being booked could mean they’ve given up on him completely.
