The 8 champions in this week’s CMLL Universal Tournament block posed for a group photo and discuessed their chances. Hopefully that photo turns up larger somewhere. (Hmm, kinda like the box y lucha one. Notimex has a lot more quote. Volador Jr. is the only bold enough to predict a win.
Atlantis also talked about his “Atlantis al rescate” movie, which will air before Friday’s lucha show. A second movie is supposed to be completed by the end of the month.
WagnerMania posts photos from the show in Torreon on Friday. Interesting to see that the cage match was actually using a MMA cage. Wagner did a promo for the website saying he’s not exclusive to AAA.

AAA looks back at the history of Cien Caras in AAA.
Latest commission update: Fantasma really wants to work with AAA to settle all of this, but Konnan needs to come to his office to make this work. Silver King is cleared to wrestle as long as he doesn’t wear his mask. No mention of Jack, so perhpas he’s settled too.
In July, Mistico, Dos, UG and Shocker will appear on lottery cards. The same article says the GDL Anniversary main event on 06/21 will be Volador & Sombra vs Ultimo & Atlantis for the tag titles, which was supposed to be the main event for the canceled show last April.

I’m really trying to figure out some kind of ranking of CMLL (based on how the company pushes/ranks them, not ability or anything else. Kinda like how Cena is obviously #1 of WWE, with the next 5 quite clearly being HHH, Edge, Taker, Orton and Batista in debatable order). Obviously Mistico would be #1, with Ultimo Guerrero #2? From comments I’ve read Shocker would have been really high a few years ago, but less so now? Who ranks higher for the rudos, Averno, Atlantis or Negro Casas? Can anyone give me a rough idea what the top 10 of CMLL is?
Boo! El Martinete forums are private again
Based on Tercera Caida’s highlights from last Friday, it looks like all (or at least most) of the tournament participants actually did remember to bring their belts.
They put thought into RdL. There’s effort. Again they mention LATV, so it seems the relationship is good.
I think Rob is right about a contract issue being the reason CMLL is in reruns again on LATV.
I don’t think it’s an MVS issue, since their programs on LATV are airing just fine. It’s only CMLL that has a problem.
I’ve noticed that ever since leaving Fox Sports Espanol and going to LATV, MVS credits Fox Sports as co-owning the show with MVS. Maybe there’s an issue over ownership if Fox pays MVS for production and international broadcast rights.
