AAA #886 (05/23)

taped 04/21, aired 05/23

Mini Abismo Negro ©, Mini Histeria, Mini Psicosis vs Mascarita Divina, Mascarita Sagrada 2007 ©, Octagoncito: seemed like it would’ve been better unedited. Maybe I’m wrong.
Rio Bravo, Tigre Cota, Tito Santana II vs Aerostar, Argenis, Super Fly: Argenis didn’t drag it down, but they’ve had more spectacular matches than this.
Crazy Boy, Gato Eveready, Pimpinela Escarlata © vs Black Abyss, Decnnis, El Brazo ©: – Black Abyss is strange. Guapito is better with the rudos anyway, though maybe they should’ve figured that out to start with.
Jack Evans vs Extreme Tiger: – your turn! my turn! your turn! my turn!
La Parka Jr., Laredo Kid ©, Marco Corleone vs Killer Clown, Psycho Clown ©, Zombie Clown: what I expected
Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Electro Shock vs Zorro vs Vampiro: a little bit better than I expected. Weird to see the tecnicos get eliminated on what’s normally a rudo spot, though not surprising to see Wagner beat a 1 on 2.

  1. Ok so coming from me this may sound strange I dunno but….

I just don’t find Wagner believable or interesting anymore. I miss the Wagner from 2000-2003. That guy was a bad ass! I remember telling anyone who would listen that he was the Steve Austin of Mexico. But now I just find him hard to watch.

But to be a loyal friend I am going to blame Taz as the reason I have formed this opinion. If it was not for Taz doing the folding of the arms gimmick then Wagner would never seen it. If he would have never seen it then he would not insist on doing it 50 times per fall.

  2. Is it not just a case of Wagner (around 2004ish) just pushing the limits of how little he could do per match while still being super over? As time went on he just kept pushing it more and more to the point where according to various reports of non-TV shows… he does absolutely nothing until the finish. Unless he’s facing Parka in which case they walk around the building finding things to hit each other with.

Thought Argenis looked much better here than his past appearences.

Black Abyss seemed to be wrestling like a tecnico turn was coming. It hasn’t come yet. What the heck are they gonna do with him?

  3. I think (and this sucks saying) he turned into a less than entertaining act for me when his Dad passed.
