AAA Launches Free Streaming Video

Announced today on their website, and via mogulus.com, AAA is now streaming video on line. They actually have had their own video section, but haven’t really updated it much since the relaunch. Hopefully this makes it easier for them.

You can find the feed on AAA’s webpage, or over at http://www.mogulus.com/aaatv, and I’ve got a streaming player after the link (assuming I can get it to work). There’s a mention of on-demand video as well as streaming, but there doesn’t appear to be that option right now. There’s no schedule of what’s to air when, which is needed if this is to be more than a novelty.

The same Stones/Hart Foundation 2 match seems to be repeating – you’d hope they’d have more content on Day 1. I wonder at the rights they actually have to be airing this – Televisa blocks the US from viewing similar content via their website – but that’s not my problem. In a perfect world, they put up new episodes every Tuesday (and classic episodes every Thursday!) and the rest of the world doesn’t have to worry about capping them ourselves again.

I don’t think we’re so close to that, though – notice the Galavision logo in the upper left. They’re not getting this footage from AAA themselves, someone taped it off US TV.

There’s more to be done here, and AAA’s news article about this being an invoation is hilarious, because Mexico is so far behind everywhere else, but it’s a good start. They’re clearly doing better than CMLL, though I don’t want to celebrate until they show they can update the channel regularly.

  1. For those following the Televisa vs. Galavision/Univision lawsuit, the issue of internet rights is still in court, so I don’t know how AAA footage with the Galavision logo could be seen anywhere online. LOL.

  2. hahaha looks like a joke, what AAA can´t make something seriously?. Hey I’ve uploaded a interview with Rocky Romero, he talks about his carrer, his title VS mask match in Japan like Black Tiger, his plans for the future, AAA, ROH, the next match VS Alex Koslov in Tepic, enjoy:

  3. Just tuned in and they are grabbing the videos direct from youtube (which is an option in Mogulus). Currently running last weekends AAA TV as uploaded by LoVeR_iCe.

  4. I think its kind of weird that AAA didn’t at least try some sort of subscription based video on demand option. Make a little extra cash. Mogulus seems to be free for anyone to join. Kind of looks like justin.tv really.
