03/24: Abismo Negro, Juvi, Perros

(so i’ve updated this post about twice in the fifteen minutes since it’s gone up. Sorry about that.)

There will be a service for Abismo today at six pm in Mexico City, so those he worked with can see him off one last time. He’s expected to be taken from there to Villahermosa, the town he was born in, to be buried.

The family identified the body yesterday, and both them and the local promoters (one of which helped search for him) have decided to say no more about the circumstances of Abismo’s death.

A wire story of his death, based off the original noroeste story and AAA’s press release about Abismo’s death has been in many papers the last two days. The second day stories are more pointing out how what AAA is saying for cause of death (heart attack) doesn’t match the noroeste story, though they have no information about why there’s that difference. The noroeste story also included a line from the local coroner suggesting steroids played a part, but that would have to be a guess on his part at this point since figuring out that sort of information usually takes much larger (if they seek it out at all – Figure Four Weekly says there will be no autopsy or further investigation at this point.)

EDIT: Tabasco Hoy (warning, here’s the picture of Abismo’s body again) says there was an autopsy done, and the official cause of death has been ruled to be drowning. There’s no clairfaction of any drugs in his system.

AAA says they found out about Abismo’s death around the end of the Monterrey taping (which caused them to cancel a post-show photo session with fans.)

In a weird note, someone wrestled as Abismo Negro Saturday night in Cancun. Absimo was scheduled to headline the AAA show in a trios with Alex & X-Pac vs Black Abyss, Chessman, and Kenzo, and AAA has said the last show Abismo worked was in Sinaloa two nights before. The local wrestlers interviewed say they thought they greed Abismo Negro as he came into the building, but it was a different guy going to the ring. Simplest answer is Black Abyss worked as Abismo Negro and someone else worked on the rudo side.

The show goes on. There was a moment of applause and remembrance for Abismo at last night’s AAA weekly show in Arena Cuatro Caminos in Nuevo Laredo.

Today’s Figure Four Weekly has the other side of the Juvi story. After Juvi found his bag, he was screaming about it in incoherent English to Konnan, blaming him, except the incoherent part meant Konnan had no idea what he was saying. Juvi later confronted Jack, and apparently bit him on the nose, so Jack destroyed him (by himself – no Konnan here.) Note to self: do not bite Jack Evans on the nose.

CMLL will start to air in France in a couple weeks. They’ll be showing a one hour show of the Friday Arena Mexico tapings on Wednesdays, starting on April 8, on Canal Jimmy. It’s going to be quite delayed from what airs in Mexico; first show is Villano V vs Blue Panther in a mask match. Hopefully the good people of France can avoid spoilers.

Hablando de Catch has a photo set of a (EAW) ring being taken apart.

LuchaWorld has Robert on 01/12 and 01/13 CMLL MVS shows, and 10/9/03 Monterrey, plus KrisZ’s

indy (FRI) 03/27 Arena Neza

  1. On a far lighter note, I really hope the report on the other side of the Juvi incident is true. I relish the image of Jack Evans delivering the beatdown of a lifetime on Juvi’s dumb ass.

  2. Alternate possibility: Abismo no-shows own funeral, black abyss is buried alive in his place.

  3. My apology if I tried to bring this posting down, truly was not trying to, I was making an observation.

  4. I hope that after Jack beat Juvi down he said “AND YOU KNOW THIS…MANNNNN”

He really wants that catch phrase to get over soooo bad.

  5. As a friend of mine told me once… don’t mess with Jack. The guy knows how to fight. Think about it… he hangs out with Teddy Hart. Can you imagine all the shit Teddy stirs up? Jack is always there to fight on his behalf so you know he can handle himself.

  6. Post from Juvy’s myspace…
(I can’t wait to get him on the show~!)

THE INCIDENT AT AAA WITH KONNAN AND JACK EVANS
Body: Hola Amigos. I want to share with you my side of the story on what happened at AAA.
    Here it goes-

This was my second show back with AAA, and the real “boss” of AAA, Konnan, was not happy about it. I tried to talk to him earlier in the show, and he ignored me. We have had problems for years. I have been negotiating with AAA for my comeback since October, but each time he was blocking me. Finally I made my return at the Rey De Reyes show, and everyone was cool with me backstage. Konnan was really late arriving to the event, 5 minutes before his match. Now at my second show, the vibe was different. I guess some of these guys got in trouble with the “boss” for talking to me.

I went out and had my match, which was really juicy, and when I returned to the lockerroom, I found my bag in a different area, and it was wet. I knew immediately Konnan was behind it. I opened the bag to find human feces inside. I immediately grabbed the bag and brought it to the owners of AAA. They were in shock. They know of my problems with Konnan, and knew he was behind it, but didnt do anything about it, because they are scared of him. Then i went up to Konnan and asked him what his problem was, and he sat there like a coward and denied everything. When we were in WCW he broke my ribs on purpose in a match. And remember when I got fired from WCW for that incident in Australia, well Konnan is the one who laced the pot with LCD and “forgot” to tell me. Even when i was in WWE he was trying to fuck with me. I am the one who got him the job in AAA. It took 2 years of convincing Antonio Pena to make that happen.

All of a sudden, I felt someone attack me from behind and start choking me. It was Jack Evans, who had been stiffing me in our match earlier in the night kicking me multiple times right in the face. At this point, Konnan got out of his seat and starting holding me down for Jack to hit me, and then started punching me too. None of the other wrestlers tried to break it up (because again, Konnan is the true “boss” of AAA and will screw with their career). Finally Sr Roldan, the owner of AAA came in and broke it up.

My nose has fractures, and I have lots of bruises. My eye is completely red but I am still Juicy. It took 2 guys to try and hurt me, but I still have my integrity and pride.

Konnan has alot of enemies in this business, and all his friends are fake. They only talk to him to keep their job. This is the truth. He has burned all his bridges in the USA, and once AAA finally realizes what an asshole he is and fires him, he will have nothing. I am really sad about this situation because at one time, we were really close friends, but now i realize he will never change. He is an egomaniac. He is a miserable human being. Ask anyone who isnt afraid of losing their job. AAA’s top star Cibernetico even left the company recently because he couldnt stand dealing with Konnans politics/bullshit.

I want to thank my friends, family, and fans for supporting me.

Interview requests can be sent to dejuice2@gmail.com.
I have alot more to talk about!

    Thanks

    Juvy aka Da Juice

  7. @Tony Galvan: I was just about to ask you about interviewing Juvi, so that we could create some sort of drinking game based on the amount of times he says the words ‘juice’ and ‘juicy’.

I was wondering were the latest WON got all of Juvi’s comments from. Thanks!
