5) Averno, Mephisto, Texano Jr. b Arkangel, Místico, Volador Jr.

Want to see Averno & Mephisto unmasked? Ovaciones has the pictures at that link, and their faces are not the least bit hidden. In the first, Averno ripped off his mask and tossed to Volador, who both caught it and was caught with it, getting the DQ. Volador and Mistico got pins in the second to tie it up. Averno tried the same trick in the third, the referee caught him and waved it off, but Averno still managed to pin Volador in the confusion. Rematch and singles (Mephisto/Volador) challenges after the match. Arkangel replaced Dos Caras Jr.

Minis tecnicos won in straight falls. No mention of the

Mr. Reyes has photos of Arena Azteca Budokan and Arena Neza shows from this past week. Note the crowd in the Arena Neza pictures; Neza’s been a ghost town the last few shows there and was completely packed for Mistico on top.

Jose Munoz, presumably the owner of Munoz Promotions, told El San de San Luis that he’d like to see less shows in SLP (and specifically Auditorio Miguel Barragan) in 2009. There’s a feeling the area was oversaturated. I have 17 events in that building, he counted 15, but would like it down to 8.

Box Y Lucha #2903 has Charly Manson & Cibernetico celebrating Christmas. Inside, there’s articles with Freelance saying he’s better than Bam Bam and Mascarita Dorada as well a “Nemesis” proclaiming he’s the original with that name. I can’t wait to find out which Nemesis that’d be.

AztecaDeportes has an interview with CMLL’s Camorra, who started out in Arena Mexico as a vendor.

Peru’s Robin Hood gives his version of the Peruvian wrestling. He’s not so high on the Titans del Ring or WWE influences.

Zapopan, Jalisco is attempting to start it’s own Box Y Lucha commission next month. They’re currently under Guadalajara’s sphere of influence.

Ohtani’s Jacket writes about Lizmark vs Satanico from 1993 AAA, Super Astro, Solar I vs Negro Navarro, Shu El Guerrero from ACMonterrey this year and Negro Navarro/Shu el Guerrero vs Solar I/Skayde from 2002.

3) Hooligan, Mr. Guerrero, Psycho vs Eterno, Scriba, Sexy Piscis
4) Angel de Oro, Atlantis, Stuka Jr. vs Ephesto, Euforia, Guerrero Inca

The article wonders if Atlantis will do what Ultimo Guerrero did last week and turn on his partners. That’d kinda be lamed for two straight main event. Semimain is Scriba Sr. getting revenge for Hooligan turning on Scriba Jr. last week.

Perros (THU) 01/01 Arena Neza [dr_landru @ El Martinete]
1) Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V vs Damián 666, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido
2) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Super Crazy vs Cibernetico & el Hijo del Perro Aguayo

Villanos being here is going to be an issue. People who work on CMLL shows are not supposed to working on these shows. However, it’d make no sense to have Villano V take Blue Panther’s mask and then drop him before he loses his mask to someone else. Dunno how this’ll work out.

Odd how Olimpico has vanished since that first Perros show.

The poster for this show gives you the impression that the Apache sisters are the captains, but doesn’t actually promise it.
