AAA #861 (11/29)

taped 10/24, aired 11/29

This was bad and pointless. The opener was edited painfully as usual, the ladder match was actually worse than usual (hard to believe) and the main event was subpar and boring to watch.

I was one who wanted AAA to go to two hours, but these are not the shows I had in mind.

  1. It’s like watching the WWE..which I don’t think is a good thing. I guess they’re really making sure the fans know Mesias is not a rudo so they will actually cheer for him. I’m waiting for him to cut a Cena-like promo now.

  2. @christi: I think they’ll quickly realize that getting the fans to cheer Mesias is just not going to happen, or at least not the way they’re doing it. I don’t know why they think that having him win a trophy, and then have Roldan kiss his ass (and seemingly forget how evil he’s been to AAA) will make the fans suddenly love this guy.

The other thing too, is that Mexico being as Catholic as it is, I don’t think the fans will cheer on a man calling himself “Mesias” (which means Mesiah for those who didn’t know). He’d first have to stop using that name and just go by Ricky Banderas if they even hope to have the fans liking this guy.

How long have they been cheering Ciber after all his years of being an ass to AAA?

  4. @C: Cibernetico at least got turned on…

(oh no. let me try this again)

Cibernetico got turned on in angle that was actually over, then actually went after those rudos like he got cared he got turned on.

It wasn’t like La Parka Jr. just blurted out one day that he had all this secret past with Cibernetico he had neglected to mention until now and Cibernetico was actually a cool guy. Actually, yea, they did that whole thing with Parka in particular remembering Ciber had been a jerk to AAA for years and didn’t want to team with him until he finally proved himself to Parka.

With Mesias, they had to do the turn angle twice because they first one failed so badly and they didn’t give him any direction afterwards. Plus, Cibernetico was a jerk but also a cool rudo. Mesias is just a jerk.

  5. @Number 2: If you watch the old footage you’ll notice that they never got cheered as loud for them as they did the other top technicos like Latin Lover, La Parka, and Zorro (when he was technico). And they needed Arturo Rivera to prod them into cheering. But despite that, Messias will never get an ovation like the Hell Brothers.

Plus it’s a lot more sacreligious for one to call him self the Messiah then for somebody to call himself a Hell Brother.

  6. I think Mesias been great, he’s not getting Ciber type heat but the fans is still cheering him so all is good.
