12/06 AAA TV Lineup (Orizba/GdT)

AAA TV (SAT) 12/06 Plaza de Toros la Concordia, Orizaba, Veracruz [ivanmu @ box y lucha]
1) Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario vs Jack Evans & Teddy Hart [AAA TAG]
2) Alex Koslov, Rocky Romero, X-Pac vs Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz
3) Alan Stone, La Parka Jr., Octagon vs ?, Kenzo Suzuki, Rellik
4) Latin Lover vs Konnan
5) Mesias vs Zorro [AAA HEAVY, ref Charly Manson]
6) Pirata Morgan vs Súper Fly, El Brazo, El Elegido, Electro Shock, Super Porky [cage, mask, hair]

Update: AAA posts the lineup, and this is basically correct. Only change is Octagon in for Silver King, and Octagon is still second in the Latin/Konnan match (which is for honor, not control, so someone’s getting their win back.)

Previously: This poster has posted area lineups before, so I don’t think this is some fabricated lineup. Still, It doesn’t seem right. There’s no way AAA is running a major show without Cibernetico on it.

Working with what we know, there’s clearly the start of a four man tournament for the world title on 11/30 with the usual suspects. It’d make far more sense for Cibernetico & Chessman to win their matches and face each other with Charly as ref, so either there’s a swerve on that show or with this lineup. Even if it the lineup got flipped, it doesn’t make sense for Mesias and Zorro not to be on this show. So you’d think we’re getting another match; there is another match mention, but I thought it’d just be a dark match for the locals.

If the title match is happening, Zorro surely is winning.

Main event is combining the three midcard feuds instead of doing any of the single matches. That may be for the best, though that means it’s surely coming down to the Brazos since I can’t imagine both of them climbing the cage.

Sergio Mayer will second Konnan in his match, and Octagon will be with Latin Lover. That sounds like Latin getting his win back to finish that storyline for the year.

There’s nothing to say about yet another AAA vs Legion with a mystery man thrown in match.

DGM vs Dark Family should be good, if kinda non-helpful. Both are supposed to be getting new big pushes, one won’t be after this match.

No women (though AAA teases a title match), no minis, no real night of champions.

  1. Chessman will be the mystery man. Or I hope to god it’s El Midnight Rider. I would mark out so much if that happened.

    No Estrellita means no buys.

  2. Could the recently released Chuck Palumbo be the mystery partner of Rellik and Kenzo Suzuki? I know he has a 90-day clause, I’m not sure how that really effects International dates.

  3. @CJK: It’s certainly possible – that’s the spot for the foreign star of the moment, and I’d guess WWE would just be concerned about showing up in TNA.

I don’t think it’s likely, since they’ve flipped against bringing in foreign wrestlers, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the idea’s been brought up.

  4. If it wasn’t good enough that Latin Lover is on the card, he has Octagon as his second. That’s gonna be so awesome.

  5. Well it’s no secret that i’m not the biggest AAA fan in the world, but i like to think i’m pretty enthusiastic about any and all lucha libre in general (apart rom the women) and can still appreciate the odd decent CMLL lineup. :)

But honestly, looking at that card…. even if i was sitting in an empty room with it showing on TV and i had absolutely nothing else to do, i think i would still give it a miss; to me that looks like lucha libre hell.

I bet Cubs’ will love that segunda though as you just know Koslov and Romero will work like those last couple of weeks of their CMLL runs, only with even more spots :D

  6. Only thing good would be El Midnight Rider.

That said Match 2 could be decent. Romero and Kozlov aren’t horrible and X Pac isn’t that bad.

  7. Up north for Thanksgiving, lots of Mexican lucha fans seeing me for the first time in 2 1/2 months are telling me how “Konnan es director”, and excited about the current product.

  8. I still think AAA is too violent, and overbooked. But I was impressed at how these guys were excited with the angles.

  9. Well, they like WWE, but not as much since Rey Jr. went to RAW. They don’t have much to say about CMLL since CMLL does not really have a timeslot on FSE, so they can’t follow it. The only thing they know about CMLL is what they see on Accion.

  10. @Rob: Seeing CMLL clips on Accion is not an opinion. Neither is stating that it’s timeslot rotates on FSE in the US.
