Projected Air Date (#863)

US: 12/14 – possibly likewise
Oh, where do we start with this one?
Show opened up with Konnan, Jack, Teddy and Zorro. in the ring, and in suits, to celebrate AAA’s takeover. Edit: Konnan gave Zorro the AAA World Mega Title, but Zorro rejecting it, wanting to win it by beating Cibernetico. (Maybe Zorro’s turning tecnico?)
Roldan appeared to demand to the urn back. Konnan brought out Rellik, who had been keeping it all along. They gave Roldan the urn, and Roldan promised he still had a surprise. That surprise was NOT Alex Koslov showing up, pointing out he’s Russian, and asking to the join the Legion, though that is what happened next. And that was just a ruse to distract the Legion – instead of just attacking him for attacking them the previous taping, they thought about it – allowing X-Pac and Rocky Romero to douse them with buckets of water. (Picture this as an extremely low rent version of Steve Austin getting the Rock, Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon with a hose from a beer truck – someone clearly saw it on the RAW 800th episode celebration a few weeks ago and must’ve been sad when they couldn’t find an actual truck. Not sad enough not do it, of course.)
Anyway, this set the tone for Konnan appearances all over the show. It’s been said in emails, it’s been said it comments, but it’s gotten be written in bold up here just so it’s clear: if you believe Konnan when he says he’s ONLY booking the stuff he’s involved with right now, Konnan is now booking ALL of AAA because everything in AAA revolves around Konnan. And it will continue, for some time.
Women’s match had the rudas win again. Seems like they’re having Estrellita/Fabi not get along. There’s no Konnan involvement here, so this stands a good chance of being clipped out. Maybe they did a backstage vignette where Konnan welcomes Tiffany back to make it work.
Stones pinned Hx, again. Their title reign is going a lot like Familia de TJ’s – rarely defend the titles, lose all the non-title matches possible, win only when the impact is completely marginalized, inevitable lose the belts after one member of the team no-shows a taping (hasn’t happened yet, but that’s a gimmie.) After the match, Konnan paid off the Hermandad (dunno why; makes me think I have the finish wrong, but I could swear they say the Stones win) and led them into beating up the Stones for being dancers. overturned the finish, disqualifying the Stones for dancing.
DGM vs Mexican Powers & Billy was said to be a good match, but who knows. DGM won, which at least makes sense. You can guess who lost – I mean, if you’re guessing Gladiador, you have to start thinking about why I’d bring this up if he lost and then realize they just put Billy back on TV so they could have him lose again. After the match, Konnan appeared with Jack & Teddy to get some revenge, but DGM left thru the crowd. I don’t know how the Legion could’ve possibly prepared for such a thing, since DGM does that every single time.
Konnan did not actually appear in the semimain, but was most of the story – Konnan earlier forgive Mesias for his fall out with the Legion and invited him back in. It’s unclear if he’ll actually do it or not (perhaps someone figured out, if they want people to realize Mesias is a tecnico, he’s got to turn on some rudos at some point) but he got along with his partners well enough to extinguish the Ozz/Dark Family push on this show. That went nowhere fast.
Konnan appeared in the main event. So did Cibernetico, which is another post entirely. (That I haven’t gotten around to writing it as a big breaking story is not accidental, and hopefully a hint.) For no reason I can figure besides a show of power, Konnan replaced Hijo de Tirantes with Pepe Casas as referee for this match. They’re both tecnico referees, and Casas called for a DQ when Zorro fouled Parka. (Again, at least that’s how the recap reads.) Zorro fouled Parka for a DQ, but Konnan ordered Hijo de Tirantes to ignore the DQ and give his team the win. Silver King replaced Super Fly, lost just the same.
After the main event, ex-Prez Roldan appeared once more, and announced the AAA Board of Directors (yes, Konnan won complete control of the company – except there’s a board of directors that’s never been mentioned and didn’t exist until five seconds ago that also has control; this is also a WWE bit) have instituted a special enforcer to make sure people didn’t interfere in other people’s matches – Vampiro. Yes, back already, in a position where he’ll be a top guy but unlikely to take any bumps.
You’ll notice, if you read this all again, not a single person interfered in someone else’s matches. Rudas won clean. Stones won clean. DGM won clean. Mesias won clean. Tecnicos won by DQ in the main event, but that was due to someone in the match – no interference. They brought in someone to stop interference…after there had been no interference. Fine, fine job. Edit: I guess the idea is this will stop Konnan from overturning finishes, but if he’s supposed to be in control of the company, I can’t see why it would.

Needs more Konnan. HA
Yeah AAA is screwed.
That was the best recap of a show I have ever read.
The only thing left now is for Chui to reply saying Konnan has no influence/doesn’t book AAA and USAUSA1 to reply telling us why he liked the show and how excited he is for Monday’s taping when Konnan sends Rellik to kidnap Pena’s sister and they hold her hostage throughout the show threatening her with rape unless Vamp relinquishes his position as commisioner.
Or maybe I have it wrong. Help me out Tim – how did that angle go when Undertaker’s group kidnapped Stephanie?
Stephanie went in a limo, Taker was the driver, Taker and Steph were going to have a wedding, she was tied to a cross, Austin saved her. Then it turned out Vince was behind it all.
Maybe they can bring back Alicia Webb to be sacrificed instead of Steph (when the Ministry couldn’t get her yet), like when she was Ryan Shamrock~
OK so re-written to make Konnan look great…
Pena’s sister is in a limo on her way to the arena… turns out one of Vamp’s Guardian Angels is driving. She thinks she’s safe but ends up being driven to a dark room where she is tied up and threatened with rape. (Konnan says: “They’ve never seen anything like this in Mexico before, it’ll get over huge!” – F4D) Everyone assumes Vamp has turned evil and is joining the Foreign Legion since he’s Canadian. Super Fly finds out about what happened and goes to save her only to be speared and knocked out with a chairshot from that little kid who came to the ring with Kenzo Suzuki at Triplemania. Aero Star and Laredo Kid decide to go save her but Roldan says “don’t bother, you’ll only fail too.” Billy Boy offers to make the save but ends up being tossed out of the building as nobody can recognize him as part of the official AAA roster. Roldan decides the only person that can make the save is… *La Parka steps into camera shot*… is Roldan himself! So he goes on a mission for the last hour of the TV show and manages to get through most of the Legion until he is finally stopped by the newest Legion member… Dedrater (Palumbo’s new gimmick). Vampiro finally arrives at the building and finds out what happened from some token AAA wrestler (oh let’s say… Alan Stone) and runs all over the place till he finally finds Pena’s sister and carries her to safety as the show ends with Konnan in the ring wearing a Guardian Angel outfit showing that HE was the one who set up the entire thing.
And thus Guerra De Titanes is set…
Rellik & Dedrater w/ Konnan vs Gronda II (b/c AAA is still all about pushing homegrown talent~!) & a mystery wrestler of Pena’s sister choosing w/ Vampiro
And who will that mystery wrestler be you ask?
…
Didn’t Paul London just get released?
There you have it – Paul London and Gronda II vs Rellik and Chuck Palumbo to headline the AAA year-end show.
Meanwhile USAUSA1 will tell us how much he looks forward to DX vs Briscoe ladder matches on the undercard.
@Rob: Careful man, you’ll give Konnan ideas. Remember he’s probably reading this stuff since he does book to the Internet.
Konnan is a hypocrite. Everything he has bashed WWE, TNA, WCW, and ECW for all the last several years is the exact same shit he is pulling in AAA right now. Konnan is no better then Triple H or Jeff Jarrett. He is a broken down bitter old man, who claims people are always discriminating against him.
Just wait until Gronda does the Katie Vick Angle. Katie Vick will be played by Nino De Calle.
@CJK: aint that the truth. His lawesuit against TNA is just a last ditch effort to get back at them. I highly doubt that he was ever discriminated over there.
Alan Stone has been playing the role of Token AAA Wrestler for a good year now, so that’s where he should be. You think he and Chris would figure out the $$$ is in playing the Hardy Boys.
You know, I’m willing to forgive all of this if they actually give me Alebrije, Cuije, Pimpinela Escarlata and Gato Eveready throwing a party for Super Porky.
As far as I understand the AAA report, Konnan reversed the decision in the segunda and awarded the win to the Hermandad because the Bellos Stone danced in the ring and this is illegal.
And furthermore, the tecnicos did not win the main event by DQ, the rudos won because Konnan ordered that Tirantes has to ignore that Zorro fouled Parkaris: http://www.luchalibreaaa.com/fotos/lienzo-charro-buenavista-cuernavaca/detalle/3.html
@Ringo: Okay, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks.
I thought I saw some pictures over on the AAA website that Zorro had the championship belt in his hands…is he the champion? And there was some with a little kid in the ring? Konnan’s kid?
Sounds like a good show though..too bad I wont get to see it on TV until next month..thank God for You Tube
@christi: The kid, I can not explain. The belt I can: Konnan wanted to give the belt to Zorro to declare him the new champ (since Ciber gave it up), but Zorro said no no no no, he wants to beat Ciber and win it in the ring.
thanks cubsfan..glad Zorro actually wants to win it
@CJK: Amen, I’ve said many times that Konnan talks out the side of his ass, and then uses the same ideas he bashed to make any promottion he books for, or works for, look good.
“Anyway, this set the tone for Konnan appearances all over the show. Amen Cubs.
Here’s my little addition to the Konnan-Roldan angle…
Roldan’s surprise is going to be the guy who donated his kidney to Konnan. As the show is ending, Konnan and the Foreign Legion jump into their SUVs and Roldan and this guy will run after him, where we’ll get a close up of the guy and he’s going to scream out, “GIMME BACK MY KIDNEY!” and then the show ends.
I got lots of tasteless ideas to contribute to AAA. When do they start promoting jobs online, like WWE? I’d like to send my resume.
@Alfredo: You aren’t white, Fredo. They’ll just toss the resume in the trash. Now *I* should apply.
